The nurse glared at him, and checked Ruby's pulse. "There's no heart beat, the girl is dead. I understand you'd wish to deny this, but she's no longer with us."

The nurses and doctors finished up the work, all of them looking at Seth with noticeable fear.

Ruby slept peacefully for another hour, the anesthesia slowly leaving her system. When she woke up, the first thing she noticed was the little "dead tag" on her toe....which issued a nice lengthy scream.
