Alexander gave a light sigh. "I have no idea why everyone is so confused and bewildered as to why I am here tonight." With that, he flipped out a small card and held it up for Victor to see. "I was invited, of course. I came because I was invited. There never was any greater purpose." He rubbed his temples with his index finger and thumb. "I swear, I go anywhere and people think the world is going to end. People these days still have no clue about the Vampire Lords. Only little myths and tales, with most, if not all, taken out of context."
Alexander paused for a moment to gather his thoughts. "Now then, I am sure that you, Victor, are not exactly a fan of our group. Quite understandable. Zaitan indeed did quite a number on your mentor, but thankfully, he killed him. You have no idea what a relief that was for the rest of us. Zaitan, for the lack of a better word, was an... a*****e. Honestly, we should be thanking your mentor. Now the rest of us can harness the power of the ice and cold. Ever since dear Valgirand passed, we remaining three have control over the minds of others."
He cleared his throat. "Now then, down to business. I really do not need to kill you... so long as you do not cause harm to my two remaining Vampire Lords. If you can do that, you have nothing to fear. Besides, I am really here for the krusnik. They have become a nuisance and I have made it my duty to exterminate them." He then gave a charming smile. "What do you say, Victor? Will you promise never to attack the Vampire Lords?"

Namine watched from her position as the vampire lord Alexander and Victor spoke to each other. She had no idea that the maestro she had approached earlier was a vampire lord. Now she understood his cold demeanor and superior attitude. Yet, that was not what bothered here. He claimed to be here for her life. After all who else could it be? She was the only Kruznik at this ball tonight.

Namine clutched at her chest. She pictured him reaching to tear her heart out. She then pictured Victor standing beside him gloating as the sparkle in her eyes faded. So this is what it has come to Victor. You will ally yourself with this lord to kill me? This lord who knows nothing about me. Why am I so hated by my kind? Why can't I be left alone? Namine's anger was cresting. I refuse to accept this. I will not resort to being hunted like game for their pleasure. I have lived close to a saint which is more than I can say for the rest of my kind. Yet here I am cowering in some bush while those too decide who gets to kill me. Namine growled deep in her throat. "I will not die..not by either of your hands."

Alexander sensed anger and heard the thoughts of the young vampire girl from before. It was her... the krusnik. He snapped his fingers, stopping time itself. Alexander approached her and stopped inches away from the girl. He raised an eyebrow and spoke. "So, you are the krusnik. This evening just keeps getting better and better."
He sighed lightly. "It is true what you have heard. It is my duty to slay the krusniks." He paused for a moment and touched the side of her face with his silky hand. His eyes projected endless love and his hand was pure ecstacy. "However, I could always make an exception." Alexander awaited her response. Attacking was pointless against someone who can read minds, so he was confident that she would not pull something stupid.

Victor's scowl physically amplified.
"I know of only one cruznik that is here this night. I am also seeking her, but obviously for different reasons than that of your own. I care not for the other vampire lords, nor even for you. As my master taught me, vampire lords are not to be sought for, for they will seek you. Earlier this night, I would've jumped at the opportunity to kill you for no other reason than to end your existence and out of a desire to see you and all of your undead ilk destroyed. But now, I have seen this night that not all vampires are as evil as I had once believed, not all feed out of pleasure but for necessity.
However you, on the other hand, I know that you have no need to feed regularly as an elder, and whether you are telling the truth of coming here purely on pleasure is sincere, I can tell that you seek the same woman that I seek."
His eyes narrowed beneath the brim of his hat.
"And you seek to kill her. I will not allow it. You will not touch her while I still draw breath. I know not what strength lies in my bones, but mark my words, Alexander, I will not let you have her!"
With a sudden twirl of his cloak, Victor's pistol appeared in his hand and three silver bullets emptied from the chamber, soaring through the still night air with a burning whistle.
Alexander jumped high into the air, dodging the first two and conjuring to his hands a terrible blackened sword that deflected away the third as he dove towards Victor.
The slayer rolled to the side and out of the way as the ground he had just been standing on became a small crater. Darkness in the form of the vampire elder erupted from that hole and he closed distance with Victor fast as the slayer holstered his pistol and brought his blade from its sheath and into the path of the now very present blade of the elder vampire.
Their blades crashed together with a singing metallic ring over and over again.
Victor swung high, sending the steel sword downwards, only to be parried again as his opponent brought his defense to meet him. The vampire lord's riposte lashed out, forcing Victor backwards, fighting for ground.
Alexander's face remained calm and essentially expressionless as he charged in again, sword leading. He thrust it forward and as Victor dove to the side, dodging the blow, tore through part of the slayer's crimson felt cloak.
Victor quickly returned to his combatant position and waited for his approach. Alexander swung high but feinted back into a strike towards his chest, the anticipated ruse gave Victor the exact thing he had been looking for. The slayer slapped the false attack to the side and caused a sudden look of concern to flash across the emotionless elder's face, forcing him to go on the defensive.
Pressing his advantage, Victor rushed in, his blade working in a fury, sparks flying as his blade frantically clashed with Alexander's. The elder ducked beneath the following blow, bending his torso backwards at an impossible angle, throwing Victor off-balance and leaving him in an awkward position.
A grin appeared on the elder as he sent his fist flying to connect with the jaw of the slayer, sending him to the ground, his mouth bleeding from the hit.
The vampire licked the blood from his hand and charged back in, never tiring and Victor jolted back up and met him in a weapon lock as they collided together at full force, shaking the ground as they crashed in the mutual block.
They stood there together, neither one giving any ground, they both groaned in effort.
"You do have potential.. *urgh*... but you still have a great ways to go, Victor. I'll try to have some... *agh* fun with this cruznik lover of yours before I finish her."
Victor's gray blue eyes flashed with an inner fire that ignited within his soul.
"You..."
He began to push Alexander backward.
"...will not..."
He spun about and kicked him in the torso, sending him staggering backward.
"...touch her!"
Victor roared as he charged in, blinded by rage and rammed his blade through the vampire lord's abdomen. Had he been of clear mind, he would have brought his silver cross necklace to bear and plunged it into his heart right then and there, but Alexander had disrupted his concentration and he held onto the blade, shoving it all the way through up to the blade's hilt.
He breathed in angered gasps and looked to the elder and saw his smiling face.
"Impressive. Are you done now?"
With one mighty swing of his left arm, he batted Victor away as if he were some common housefly, sending him spiraling to the castle wall, collapsing against it.
Victor was certain he had felt a number of ribs break in that collision, not to mention his shoulderbone. He looked up weakly, towards the approaching elder, he ripped the blade free from his own stomach and held it in his hand.
"It's a nice sword. A shame that you had to go and waste it."
Victor growled and brought out his pistol again, yelling defiantly, firing every last bullet that was left in his clip.
Despite his valor though, every bullet was dodged or effortlessly parried by the approaching Alexander.
"Pity that you did not take my offer and leave when I gave you the chance. Here, take your sword back, it made a nasty hole in my clothes."
With one blinding thrust, Alexander drove the blade up to its hilt in the exact same location that Victor had struck him, twisting it, causing him to scream in pain.
New levels of agony rippled through his consciousness as Victor struggled to stay both alive and aware enough to focus on what was taking place.
He had lost.
Victor Francis Graham had lost.

((Ok awesome battle scene. So because of Solomon's post and Tona's post I have to reconcile my post in some way to respond to both so heres what I did. You got an issue go ahead and pm me ^^))

Namine felt as if everything slowed down and suddenly she found Alexander in front of her. His hand came up to touch the side of her face and she shivered..small chills running through out her body. She looked into his eyes and became dizzy. He was doing something to her. Was she falling into a trance? She had no doubt that he could kill her now if he so wanted but he did not. Instead he gazed at her with those eyes so different from her emerald ones. Did he say he would spare her? Am I being tricked once more? I have let my search for love and acceptance blind me before. Am I repeating the same mistake?

Namine sighed softly. "Will you.. try to kill.. me or will.. you let me go? She tought she had been disguised quite well but it was evident even in the costume that she was a female. Alexander hadn't known she would be the kruznik. Now he seemed to be toying with that fact. Was he going to strike her now?

Namine didn't hear the answer. A scene spread out before her eyes Victor was shouting at Alexander. He claimed that Alexander would not come near me. He would not allow him to touch me. Namine wanted to go to him but was caught in some kind of hold. Tears slid from her eyes. Do you care for me? Is that why you are fighting? Or do you just want to be the one to claim the kill? She watched in horror as Victor and Alexander fought each other. She knew he would be no match for the elder...he was human. Namine yelled in her mind a silent plead for the elder to leave Victor alone. She asked him to call off his hunt of her. She would do anything to make it stop. The battle continued and Alexander was unphased by it..even when the sword was embedded in him. "Oh God no!" she yelled. Victor had lost..Alexander would now be coming for her....

"Skyler! Where are you?" Alsvid was growing very frightened as he thought of all the terrible things that may have happened to his beloved. He wandered through the hallways calling her name when he passed a large window and saw Victor falling to his death. "Hunter... You fool. I warned you not to fight him alone." Alexander was now talking to someone else. Alsvid climbed out the window and drew nearer to the elder. He knew he could not hide himself and there was no point in planning an attack so he decided it would be best to stand in plain view to show he meant no harm. He just wanted to see what was going to happen next. "The hunter was a fool to fight you alone," he thought knowing Alexander would hear. "Well I have more pressing matters to attend to." With that Alsvid made his way back to the window through which he'd left.

Poinsettia was hearing things, a commotion maybe... he sat up in bed.
"Raoul..."he whispered, "Perhaps something is not right."
The pale boy got out of bed, the world lurched but he ignored it and peeked out the door.

Skyler stood back up and began to walk. The dark halls reminded her of her dreams of when she wonder back home. What had happen happen nothing she could do about it. She walked lightly not making a sound as she made her way through the building. Her thoughs of ways to fix her sadness poped in to her head. As she got deeper into the building she began to realize that she had no idea where she was. She began to run with her feet still light when touching the ground.

Skyler began to painic. Her heart raced as her fears soon took control. Where am I? Oh god someone help me please. She ran faster as she turned to into an other hall to find it was a dead end. She looked out the winded that was at the end of the hall. She looked down. Some how she had gotten to the second floor of the building. She stared out the window to see a tree right next to it. Then a crazy and stupied idea came to her.

She reached out grabing for the tree. Then she took hold of a branch and began to try to get in the tree. Once she was out of the window she hung from the branch as she slowly moved her self near the base of the tree. She looked down making her self dizzy. She saw that the branch she had picked wasn't the best as it began to brake. She took a deep breath and sharpend her eyes. One... two... three... She swong her self to reach another branch that was fat and close by. She took hold of it as the other branch broke. She pulled her self up on to the fat branch she had gotten a hold of and sat there.

Raoul opened his eyes, distracted from his ruminations by Poinsettia's sudden movements. He snarled softly and yanked the boy away from the door, dropping him back unto the bed, "Yes I am aware of that...it's nothing-nothing you should concern yourself with." Personally he couldn't bring himself to care enough about the fracas below to join; after all, part of it was of his own making in the first place. Yes let them fight among each other and hopefully someone will lose an eye or perhaps even a soul...He caught the look Poinsettia gave him and rolled his eyes before shutting them, but this time not just to meditate.

Raoul set his consciousness loose, casting about for any sign of the entities- the red flare of a human soul, opaque greyness that could only mean another of his kind...and that dratted Krusnik! Oh of all the confounded...whatever was going on, it was too emotional-there was too much static between all three-Raoul opened his eyes and shook his head, smiling faintly at Poinsettia, "See, I told you there's nothing to be worried about."

This was getting more and more troublesome as the night wore on; it seemed that simply tricking this annoying pair apart was not going to be effective...perhaps then they really cared about each other? He tried to equate the hostile Krusnik from his conversation with such gentle emotions and rolled his eyes once more. So what is the reason for their liaison? Raoul was curious even though he knew this could very well be a dangerous path to follow.

"How do you feel Poinsettia? I can arrange for you to go home if you'd rather."

Poinsettias heart skipped a beat, when the word 'home' was used. That would mean leaving Raoul, that would mean he would have to start his rehab like he promised his family, that would mean he'd be one step closer to death. He wanted the night to wyne on forever.

The words he had not been outgoing enouph to speak, the words he was afraid to speak, the things he had wanted to say...no... yell, blurted out;
"I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE YOU! I'M A SELFISH PERSON RAOUL! I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE YOU! I DON'T WANT TO BE ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE DAY I DIE! I REFUSE TO LEAVE EVEN IF THE ARMAGEDON HAS BEGUN AND THE ONLY SAFE PLACE FOR ME IS HOME! I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF I PUT OTHERS IN DANGER! I JUST... want to stay with you, not let the night end, not let the cold ice I am stay frozen until the fire within me that was all I am burns out and I leave forever. I am selfish, I will not leave."

Poinsettia's cheeks were slightly red while his eye's seemed to burn with heat from his busoms core. He looked perhaps stronger than he had all night, perhaps a little more of his vampire roots blood instinks had taken over. Whatever it was, nothing could compare with the flame of his eyes.

After all, the blue flame is hottest of all.

((In addition, I'll be taking control over Alexander Delacroix. Any direct words spoken by him will be placed in dark red. Furthermore, his prior mentioned powers now have limits placed on them. i.e. Time stop only occurs for a few seconds, mind reading can be resisted, mending of wounds takes a toll on his energy etc.))
Victor gasped for breath, he could only look at the vampire lord and glare hatefully into those merciless eyes.
"I suppose I can leave you to a more painful death by just allowing you to lie here. Since I can no longer detect the Cruznik in the area, she is either gone from here or hiding her energy, so I shall return to the party for now. In any event, it was a pleasure meeting you, Victor Francis Graham. I fear we may not meet again. Tragic, but such is life... and death. Farewell."
Victor grimaced at his wound and tried weakly to grab at his own sword that pierced his abdomen to no avail.
Alexander only chuckled as he wandered back to the castle doors and returning to the festivities inside.
"Damn... him..."
Out of the corner of his fading vision, he saw a familiar face hiding amongst the bushes.
"Na...Namine..? Is it really.. y.. you?"
He prayed that he was right about her being there and prayed even moreso about her not having been the one who betrayed him.
Above all else, he prayed she could forgive him for doubting her.
