"Though .. if one tries to do good, to be kind and it does not turn out as one would hope .. they should do better." she said softly, burying her face against his chest, hugging him.

He shook his head and sighed. "You shoulden't take the blame for other's misfortunes. It's self-destructive." He gave her a gentle squeeze.

She looked to him with a smile, as if she was going to say something but instead, she laughed softly for a moment and with a dismissive hand gesture she wandered out of the room. "Come, I must ask you something." she said, wandering down the hallway and in to another room, a library to be specific.

"Um, ok..." He quickly followed, curious as to what was on her mind.

As she walked , her clothes changed from her normal bright dress to dark pants, fit snug around her hips, billowing out to almost skirt-like width down the leg. Black gloves and a black tube top, accompanied by her usual accessories; scarf and laurels. Once they entered, she selected a book from the shelf, finally turning to face David as she thumbed through the pages. Finding a particular page, she looked at him with a sad smile. "I am to meet my mother for the first time soon. And, of course, her rider. This means I must .. return .. to Du Weldenvarden." she said softly, looking to him now with almost pleading eyes. "I have read through everything possible of their ways .. Though Father has assured me that with as my father and master as well as his father, my mother and sister .. the word of two dragon riders .. none will question or protest my return. Yet .. I believe .. that I should not enter Du Weldenvarden but remain at the border. What is your opinion, friend?"

"You would be returning as a guest of honor, correct? The I see no reason why you should not return." He smiled and gently squeezed her shoulder. "And, you would be going with the word of three riders."

"Wekk .. no, not exactly. It will be a request to reconsider my banishment." she said softly, bobbing her head. "My return will be quite humble beyond the fact of the company I keep."

"Would you like me to accompany you to Du Weldenvarden? There were a few elves in the higher ranks that knew I was Oromis, and would gladly vouch for you if i asked them to."

"I will keep your offer in mind. I would like to think that on my own merit and the influence of two dragon riders, that should be sufficient. I do not wish to arrive there with the appearance that i wish to fight or am frightened." she said softly, bobbing her head.

"Ah, but you see, those two riders are your relatives. Their reasoning is biased. I am not related to you, so my reasoning is neutral, thus my opinion is more highly valued." He smiled and shrugged.

She tilted her head, a bit, her posture and facial expression screaming 'get real' at him as she found the polite way to say; "These words coming from the man whom but a moment ago was confessing his love for me? I think not any of the council would think your opinion to be unbiased either, though again, I much appreciate your offer and will call upon you if it is deemed necessary." she said with a smile, bobbing her head. "You believe I should go also, so I shall. I am extremely nervous to do so." she said softly, again looking away slightly, her cheeks going a bit pink. "Are you aware of whom is mother to Brom?"

"If you wish, I could accompany you to Du Weldenvarden. That way, I would get to visit some old friends, and be nearby if you wished for me to make an apperance on your behalf." He gave her shoulder another gentle squeeze. "Is your grandmother the elven princess Ayra? Back in the days when he was my pupil, Eragon was quite smitten wth her, but unfortunatly I had to leave before I could see if their relationship progressed."

"You are, of course, welcome to join. I was under the impression you wished to keep your identity secret, I would not want to impose on you revealing yourself unnecessarily." she said softly, again bobbing her head. "The daughter of Ayra is his mother, yes. The truth, alas, remains that Eragon was too young for Ayra. Though as fate would have it, her daughter fell for him and he did not hold bias of her age and they were happy together for years until she fell." she said softly, lowering her head further.

"Ah, well, I warned the boy. And there's no need to worry about my identity, I will return as David, the lost Rider. You see,, none o them knew wha happened to me after our last battle, so some said I died, and others believed I went back into hiding."
