Abigail was glad for the apology. She knew that Leandra wasn't like her parents or the rest of their house. Then she turned to Raven as she began to speek. Abigail was dumbfounded at the confession. She knew what her parents were and almost all of the Slytherin's parents were. But she never thought Raven was. Draco, Pansy, Blaise, and to some confusion Crabbe and Goyle, most likely, but not Raven. Abigail couldn't speek. She was trying to prosses.

Leandra just stood there, dumbstruck, eyes narrowed at Raven, trying to figure this girl out. She seemed terribly nice...how could someone like her be a Death Eater? Ugh, why couldn't everything just stay nice and neat like it was supposed to be, with good people and bad people behaving like they were supposed to?
Some understanding started to stir in the back of her mind, but not enough to make any difference. The only thing Leandra could do was lean back on the wall and sigh, "I don't know...I don't know...why? Why are YOU a Death Eater? You can't possibly..." She lowered her voice a substantial amount and looked around nervously.

raven looked down at the ground. she was starting to think she'd made a mistake, but she knew that if she wanted to make friends they'd have to accept her for who and what she was. "Leandra, the reason is this: my parents are dead. By Voldemort's hand. Yes, they were death eaters too, but they could not complete a task that he had given them. Now, they are dead and i am to take their place. I will complete the task, or die trying. More than likely I'll die. I'm sorry."

Aigail new one thing about her parents. And that was that they too were Death Eaters and killed by Voldemort. But she still had one question for Raven. "Do you want to be a Death Eater and follow Voldemort?"

raven looked at the two.

She looked back down at the floor. She was to go home this break with draco and become a death eater while mr. and mrs. malfoy looked on at her. Raven knew how draco felt about this, and he didn't like it. he didn't want her to get hurt. In fact he didn't want to get hurt, but there was little he could do.
"if i do become a death eater...it's something that i have to do...."

Leandra didn't want to offend the girl, who seemed to be having a tough time. Okay, the word "seemed" made her sound stupid. She WAS having a tough time. But Leandra couldn't resist an impulsive outburst.
"How can you not know?" she said angrily, more to herself than to Raven. "Is there any other conclusion than that Voldemort's a great big idiot and that no matter what, we gotta stop him because he's a big freaking retard?!? How can you even stand the thought of going to live with my parents?? How can anyone with any sense stand my retarded family!?"
Then she calmed down, out of things to say. Then she thought about what she'd said, and felt like a jerk, even though she'd meant every word of it.
"I'm sorry," she muttered, cheeks turning pink again. Leandra started to realize...if people didn't act the way she thought they were supposed to, good or evil...then she wasn't going to deny it. There was simply something more that she didn't understand. But she wanted to. She hated not being able to understand something.

Abigail just stood there thinking. Well maybe its saftey. She doesn't wanna get kill and Draco doesn't want her to either. I guess the easy thing would to just drop her but... I don't know she's really my only friend and I can't do that. I'm gonna have to talk to her more before I decide anything for sure. She thought. Then simple she said, "Okay". She gave Raven a sweet smile.

Raven looked at them resolutely. " I do not fear what i must do. If i do it it will be because i do not fear Lord Voldemort. I will do what must be done, but i do not fear death as an outcome. I do this for my parents, for Draco, for Severus, for all of us. I do it to save my friends." After she was finished speaking, Draco came out of the Great Hall. He walked over to them and hugged Raven and Abigail. Then he looked at his sister. "Don't you have something else you could be doing, little traitor?" Raven opened her mouth to speak. "Draco she was just being nice, and she's really not as bad as you say she is. I know things about you that you wouldn't want anyone to know. She can be the way she wants to be and so can't we." She smiled at him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Abigail thought about Ravens words and then hugged Draco back. She was about to speek when Draco spoke first. She walked over to Raven, looked at her a moment and then hugged her. "I understand." She whispered in Ravens Ear.

Leandra glared at her brother as he approached. She thought she might puke at the affections given him.
And then her face softened. You know, maybe there was more to these people than she thought.
"Raven..." she said, ignoring her brother. "I can't say I really understand your situation...but I'm not gonna judge you. All I'm gonna say is...if you ever need some help...I mean, I've only just now really talked to you, but if you do...I'm here, okay?"
Leandra sighed, afraid she sounded extremely forward and silly. But, oh, well.
"I think I'd better get going..." she said, and went to do so. On an impulse, she did something she hadn't done for years.
As she passed by her brother, she squeezed his hand comfortingly.

Raven watched the chain of events. She was glad that Abigail understood, and she didn't expect for Leandra to. When Leandra squeezed Draco's hand she was awestruck. "Thank you Leandra, and you too Abigail. You guys are my friends. *she smiled at them waving at Leandra as she walked away. Then she turned to Draco. "Wanna walk down to the pitch with us and talk about the upcomming match, or are you too busy?" Draco snorted. "Me? Too busy? Come on. Don't know me very well do you??" He took her hand, and Raven looped her arm under Abigail's. "Shall we then?" she said to Abigail.

Leandra looked back for a moment at Raven's words. And she smiled just a bit. "Yeah, see ya," she called to both of them, and then turned up the stairs.
Well, what do you know, she thought. Friends in Slytherin. And it took me seven years to find them.
((My Christmas was amazing! I got a kimono and a saki cup set and a Japanese porcelain doll and some Tinkerbell stuff and CDs!!! xDDD How was yours? lol))
