[Damon] The tournament has been delayed for nearly three weeks. You can have your e-peen stroked after next round, Hael. That's not my fault, balls to whomever takes over the third judging slot (NAOTA!)- and I want my e-peen stroked now.Quote: Clearly, you're some kind of f*****t. Any real man wouldn't give a goddamn about some pansy comments and would just want to get the event back on track. What are you, some sort of Communist? I want comments because I don't just want "I think this person won, the end." - that's not a judging, that's half-assing a role that should be taken semi-seriously at the least to sate a bunch of whining faggots crying, bitching, and moaning. I realize there's only a few fights that need a 'tie breaker' - but besides the fact those fights deserve a proper job done to 'em, every fight - even the ones with landslide victories - deserve a proper judging approach, or the whole premise of judging is useless to begin with.
If anything, I'm the opposite of a Communist because I'm not willing to share the tears you guys're spreading around- I'm wanting justice, and I want it served up hot, not half-assed and shot out fast as possible. If anyone decides they want to leave because they can't handle waiting for a relatively crucial part of this competition to be done and done right, they surely couldn't have made it all that much farther anyway.
Win-win for me.
Now, Sega Saturn.

I'm only judging two fights so you're not getting more than you're already getting Hael.
Ya'll been waiting long enough, so I'm not making any comments. I'll finish in a bit.

You do realize that the comments are a wholly optional addition, don't you? They are in no way, shape, or form crucial to the judging process; in fact, they're entirely un-needed. I would go so far as to say they're an entirely SECONDARY process to the judging, something that's tacked on to the primary concern of a judge, which is who wins, and who loses. So no, it really isn't "crucial" at all, so much as it is nice, like good decor.
Find a way to go back to high school, then join the wrestling team. Go to a tournament. Manage to keep from getting pinned for three rounds, then see if the judges' score cards come with comments on your performance.
Yeah, they won't. Because - as much as I like the depth it gives - comments are a completely frivolous addition to judging. Everyone likes it, but it sure as ******** isn't required, important, or even remotely "crucial" to the process or end result. Half-assed judging would be NOT judging at all, or just randomly choosing a winner.
I mean, anyone who's judged something like a sports competition will tell you that most events only need a win/loss judgment and nothing else. This holds true for tournaments online as well. This isn't a cooking competition, or marching band, or who can make the prettiest piece of art. Competitiveness aside, it has a basic win/loss premise, therefore the only required portion of judging is the win/loss decision; comments = not really important or needed.
TL;DR: Comments are completely non-essential to the judging process. I'm not even entirely sure as to how one could actually believe them to be even remotely important, because they really, really aren't. The Olympics have plain score cards with numbers on them for ******** sake. No comments there.
TL;DR2: People are complaining because it's been something like a week and a half. Personally, I would rather forgo having comments if it meant the tournament was back on track faster. If you only get comments from two judges, or no judges at all, it's still better that you have the REQUIRED AND ACTUALLY IMPORTANT PORTION OF THE JUDGING PROCESS finished, which is the win/loss decision. Nothing else matters in the scheme of things.
EDIT:: GG, Naota. As explained above, I'd rather have the whole process finished, than add a (admittedly large and impressive) touch to the judging to let us know how we did.

I didn't shop around this time though. I dunno how many I have. About to check and see, if the bookstore still has their site up. I have like.. five classes plus a lab, and none of the classes except American Colonial History are particularly complex.
