MISSION- Spark for Joy
Go and catch an electric pokemon!

Pokemon:
Any non evolved, non legendary electric type pokemon.

Money: 200

Knowing my life back at HQ was getting quite drone and my team was getting quite tired of just moping around without any training I decided to assign myself I simple mission that will at the same time strengthen my team by adding a new member. The mission described in not to much detail just to catch any electric type pokemon, but at the moment this was quite hard because I was only limited to ones native to Sinnoh Jhoto and Kanto… because at the time our home area of Hoenn is off limits…

I sat down for a few moments and thought of places where I could go and the best I could come up with was Vally Windworks in Sinnoh known for its array of electric types in the vicinity. I spent a few more moments in thought planning out a safe course of travel and I headed off to Sinnoh by the means of Tropius arriving in Floroma roughly 3 hours later just about mid day since I left early enough in the morning. From there I traveled a short distance east (the giant windmills were in sight from the city) arriving at a small stream accompanied by large densely forested area, perfect for any type of wild pokemon.

Once in the right area I quickly got to work on my training running wildly through the area in search of something, well anything, to fight. After a streak of terrible luck with searching for pokemon that either ended up with them running away on sight or just not even being found at all that lasted a good twenty minutes I came across a lone Shellos that was swimming happily at the edge of the water so I snuck up behind it and surprise attacked it with a simple yet effective quick attack from my Surskit catching the Shellos’s attention. The Shellos willingly fought back not trying to run at all countering with Mud Bomb which almost covered all of Surskit’s body troubling her vision and forcing her to retreat underwater washing off herself allowing her to counter attack from underwater catching the opponent off guard with Ice beam leaving an icy trail from the water to the underside of the opponent freezing it to the damp shoreline causing movement to be troublesome.
Surskit stayed underwater for a few more moments washing itself clean before she reemerged from the water giving Shellos time to defrost in the hot summer sun (although Sinnoh has become progressively and unusually colder lately). Just as Surskit finally came out from the water she took in a big breath of air not used to being submerged for that long of time she was caught off guard from the opponents next attack, a surprisingly powerful Water Pulse leaving a ripple effect across the whole stream and also leaving Surskit dazed. Surskit began to attack out of confusion and began shooting wild bubble beam attacks in all directions eventually hitting the opponent, not at full force but just enough to KO the Shellos. I purposely KOed the Shellos unable to catch it due to the restrictions of the mission but I really didn’t need another water pokemon anyway, I thought to myself as I returned Surskit to her ball after a harsh battle.

As soon as I turned around assuming I needed to search more for an electric pokemon I was caught by surprise to see a tiny baby Pachirisu staring in awe at my previous battle. I bent down to pet the curious little pokemon completely forgetting it was an electric type at the moment caught up in its cuteness. Just as I put my hand out Pachirisu fired a jolt of energy at me making me jump back as it began laughing at me. I started to laugh also but that gave the little pokemon the idea it was ok to do it again, just a little harder though not realizing when I fell back I landed partially in the water making the force of the next shock painful. I hopped on my feet in pain shaking my hands wildly feeling like they were on fire because they were the main part of me that was in the water. The tiny little pokemon then began to roll on the ground in laughter and I guess it was the sudden blow of the pain that knocked the stupidity out of me and made me finally realized that it was an electric type pokemon which I would have probably known sooner if I had ever seen one before but at the time my mind was just drawing a blank in its cuteness.

As soon as my hands stopped burning I sent out Venonat and began to battle the tiny pokemon trying my hardest not to hurt it. While Pachirisu was still concentrated on laughter Venonat got the first move in starting off with Sleep Powder and missed by a few inches probably from inexperience in battle. Pachirisu then realized the situation at hand and began to playfully attack back taking the battle like a game countering with a light Spark attack causing Venonat to roll backwards disorienting her slightly but she was back on her feet in moments and once again Pachirisu let out a childish chuckle. Venonat got slightly offended by the laughter and without warning let out her most powerful move, Psychic, making Pachirisu levitate in the air for a moment then was slammed to the ground with powerful force making it cry out in pain.

After that I felt completely terrible so I ran over to the injured pokemon and tried to catch it with a great ball at very close range but apparently it was just over exaggerating the amount of pain it was in and swiped the ball out of my hand with a more serious look on its face. Pachirisu finally taking the situation seriously sent out an amazing Discharge attack which I was unfortunately caught in also shocking me senseless yet again and KOing Venonat. I quickly moved further away from the now insane little pokemon and sent out Tentacool into the nearby stream hoping to inflict some kind of status problem and end this quickly. Tentacool first shot off a Supersonic attack from just underneath the surface finally having a move hit the opponent leaving it dazed from the attack. Pachirisu staggered around for a few moments tripping over its own feet and Tentacool began sending waves, or should I say walls of water at it dealing further damage making it seem that it was no longer able to keep its balance. If it stumbled any more in its confusion it would probably faint right on the spot so I figured at the moment it was finally able to be caught and a threw yet another Great ball this time getting no sign of stuggle back and catching it just and it was ready to fall over on the ground.

Just after catching Pachirisu I quickly sent him out of his pokeball right on the spot and I used a super potion on him just to be sure he wasn’t suffering from any more serious damage then I went to the nearby Floroma Pokemon Center to handle the rest. After only a few moments of waiting the kind nurse returned with all my pokemon healed and with the reassuring news that Pachirisu was ok. After my mind was at ease, my pokemon were ok and I had a new member for my team I made my way slowly but stealthily back to HQ making sure not to draw any more attention to Aqua even though we are in somewhat of a clearing I didn’t want to take any more chances. It was just getting dark as I entered HQ but just to make sure I didn’t wake up any early sleepers I crept through the door posted up my mission report and I made my way up to my room Pachirisu in hand looking eagerly up at me wanting attention.

Cody laughed. "Apparently. I figured that's what was up with him. Jeez. Well what's up?"

"Well I'm going to bed. Night Maddy." Cody yawns and retreats to his room.

Cody walks in. "Morni... Afternoon everybody." He laughs and goes to sit

Maddy walks in and jumps up onto the ceiling, with a yawn. "Hellooo people!"

"What's up guys?" Cody looks at Maddy and Brian.

Me: Hey guys. I'm doing fine, just looking for some upgrades.
