Joey found them not too much earlier and he watched their little argument. joey jumped down and hung from an awning as he looked at Tokeru. "I agree, He is kind of a tight a**" he said with a grin.

It took the sorta tipsy guy a while to find them, as he rode on the old, crappy skateboard. Simon had followed Tokeru and company, but had lost them when he stopped to buy another hotdog from a sidewalk vender. It was cool.
When he found them talking, he couldn't help but smile at the dude that would rather run around in a tutu rather than pick up a chick. Like last time, he hopped off the skateboard almost dropping his hotdog. This causing Simon to yell, "Aww s**t!" The good part was that he didn't drop his hotdog, although some ketchup found it's way onto the ground.
Taking another bite; Simon dusted off imaginary dust from his bomber jacket and spoke. "What did you need, Tokeru? Seriously, I sorta stayed sober for this. And, hey Edith and new dude."

Tokeru smiled as he saw simon, sober for once.
"Simon, I think you have a drinking problem, and I want you to stop. It's just not good for you. You get all depressed, then you start drinking, then you go look for a fight. I mean i don't mind if you drink, but goddamnit man, pull yourself together. You don't need to drink to be able to be happy. And it's alot safe if you decide to hunt sober, theres less of a chance of shooting yourself in the leg y'know?"
Tokeru's tone was not berating, but understanding. He just wanted Simon to stop drinking like he did.
"Joey, get over here."

The battle long over, and still not a scratch on Takiko. It had seemed, that even through the cold, she could still fight. Well, at times. Sometimes she came out on the losing end from surprise attacks. Of which she used to be a natrual master of. There was only the soft sound of her feet crunching through a small layer of snow beneath her. All seemed silent except her footsteps. After a brief moment, Takiko from the ground, to straight ahead of her. More people seemed to be here. Hunters from her percpective. Almost as silent as the wind, Takiko walked over to the nearest shadow. It clung to a building behind her. She leaned against the building, trying to make her entire body be hidden in the shadows as she watched the people.

"That's funny," Edith stated, hands on her hips to mimic a grumpy old woman or some grumpy person, "coming from someone who was just loading up not too long back there, hey Angel?" She did not like it when people drank. Well, she did not even mind if they drank, just if they got drunk doing it. Drunk people were fun in the crazy unpredictable way but the rest was just a chore.
She smiled upon seeing Simon on the crappy skateboard along with his hotdog, a rather comical sight to her. She'd been slack in keeping tabs on his drinking but she'd seen him drunk more times than sober so it was not hard for her to count yet. "Simon," she asked with a mischievious snicker, "what do I have to do in order to get you to stop drinking?" Considering he was not drunk for once it would be intersting to hear his answer, or if he even answered at all but it was all the same to her. More of a hinting joke than anything.

"I" stated Tokeru with indignation "was not drunk. I was pleasantly buzzed thank you very much. It is the state just before drunkenness. The state that I know to stop at."
Tokeru laughed at edith's mistake. "He is not drunk, he's sober for once."

Upon hearing Tokeru's small comment she snorted, obviously disagreeing with his statement. "That so redeems you. Considering you did not look like you were planning to stop there until I told you to stop. I don't even know how the hell you and Simon, perhaps other company included, can stand alcohal. It's so disgusting, it's bitter and it gives you headaches." She shivered slightly, recalling when she had been a little girl and her dad had given her a small sip of beer but enough to make her hate it the rest of her life. Well, at least the past fourteen years of her life.

Joey nodded as he dropped down from the light and took a spot next to Tokeru. When Edith mentioned alcohol's bitterness, he smiled. "That's not true in entirety, M'lady" he said respectfully. "With the correct type, alcohol has a certain sweetness to it..although I do agree, 'tis quite a nasty habit" he said with a nod.

A problem? What problem? Drinking.... nah! That wasn't possible. Hell, it isn't possible. Alcohol performed things that a hundred years of therapy could never do. His parents dying, seeing their destroyed faces all over the floors and walls of their cheap Brooklyn apartment, being sent off to an orphanage because no relatives wanted to take him and his brother in. His bestfriend being killed by a lycan. Everyone he cared about leaving New York City, and now this pitiful existence. It's a tough business stepping out your door.
"Please, Tokeru. I have no problem. And please don't throw on of those 12-step programs at me. This isn't a disease, damnit! It helps..." Simon breath in and out slowly, taking in a lot of air whilst doing so. Rubbing his hands over his face, "It helps a lot. Seriously, you should understand. I run around at the sleeping hours of the night trying to save people from horrible things. The least that could be done for me is the continual supply of the only medicine that works."
The hunter began to pace around muttering in an irish accent about some guy named Shamus, about getting s**t-faced at a pub, leprechaun's gold, and taking a rocky road to a place called Dublin. It would only take a minute or two to finish speaking (an obvious sign that he was talking rather fast,) and turned to Edith. "Trust me, girlie. You'd have to hog tie me to do so."
He ate the rest of his hotdog in a blur, cleaning his hands with a napkin in his pocket.

"Name's Eden," she informed not aggressively but not the most pleasantly, "laddie. If you need me to write that down on a card for you, remind me later because I don't have a card or pen on me." She then patted him on the shoulder, not gently but with force, not enough to hurt him but enough to let him know that she wasn't your push-over type of woman that had no muscle in her.
"You'll learn to love me all in due time. So ... where did you come from? Your accent certainly betrays the fact that you're originally from New York ... unless you moved from New York to some European country, got an accent, and came back with it. And as for that alcohal thing, it's never truly sweet, it always has it's bitterness no matter what you add to it, even if there is some sweetener in it." Her points and questions made and asked, she hushed to wait for some answers and responses.
"I suppose," she said with a sigh, "I'll have to repeat myself. Name's Eden, laddie. If you need me to write that down on a card for you, remind me later because I don't have a card or pen on me. And if I have to hog-tie you then perhaps I will. Don't test me or tempt me since people have regretted it in the past." She stuck her tongue out at him, flashing her fangs briefly.

Joey gave a respectful bow to Eden. The gesture was small, yet meant a lot to him. "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Eden. My name is Joseph Winters, but you may call me Joey if you wish to" he said casually. "Maybe you are correct about alcohol, Perhaps it is but an aquired taste, yet a few sprinkles now and again never hurt me" he said with a little shrug before turning and leaning back on a street light.

Edith noticed that he failed to answer her question about where he was from but thought nothing of it. She understood, especially since he'd have to kiss her a** before she told him where she was from, if she told him that then he'd know where her parents lived. She never wanted anyone to have any way of blackmailing her and while Tokeru, Will, another Hunter or Shadowstalker would work just as well, they knew how to defend themselves and were aware of this alternate world. Her parents .... were blissfully ignorant yet they had lost a son and daughter to that world.
"Hee hee," Eden chuckled to herself, "Joey is a t.v. show. A really bad one that I don't like but nonetheless a t.v. show." She watched Joeseph walk over to lean against a lightpost but she did not bother to join him. She remained where she was.

Joey let out a chuckle of his own. "Yes well, the spin-offs are never quite what the original show would lead you to believe, are they? If Joey won't work for you, I've been referred to as Frost" he said pleasantly. "Oh, I apologize for ignoring your question, I hail from London" he replied.

((Brokenhearted, but something started the minute she crept out of the grave. I wandered aimlessly, my dept was plain to see, nothing in my heart left to say. She drew blood with a love at first bite. I felt alive for the very first time. Oh, I want to die in the arms of my vampire girl.))
Simon grinned at Eden. "Stop," Simon spoke in a jokeful voice that hinted that he was being playful, "You'll make me cry." He ended the dialouge with a chuckle.
