[It wasn't even snowing where everyone else was, plus it would make more sense if that was ash not snow because of the heat the city had to have been giving off.]

Yes, but the way they were acting it was definitely snow... they gave off the image of "cold." Ash may look like snow but it's hot.
They were drawing a parallel between Alice and Avisu no Ishi; Alice was inside, close to Oz by the fire. Avisu was raging outside, cold and alone. Alice's monologue accents it.

[I don't care you just don't causally have snow in a season that looks like mid summer!
For effect or not they could have extended the scene its like run into the house, talk for two minutes, run out of the house.]

Like I said, that's why this was such a failure. Story-wise it was good if you isolate it from the manga... but they moved it all too fast.

I saw that Cheshi. Wallace should talk to the crazy blue one. Don't know what to do with Rabbit but he's not going after Hare who's going towards me so I won't meet him.
Hehe... I do more reading than watching. So far, I'm impressed; it's caught that same emotion as Higurashi already, with the lightheartedness and a dark undertone that keeps surfacing. "bad luck... bad luck... bad luck... *creepy tone* bad luck..."
Only it's a completely different place (Naturally... lol)
