Van, I have been thinking, maybe you are looking at this the wrong way. There was someone out there, that that heart belonged to, they had the courage and kindness enough to say, "When I am no longer a part of this earth I want to give parts of me, so that others, that need them can use them. So I can let others live longer." They gave this to you, and probably a bunch of other organs to others that needed them, they gave what they could no longer use so you no longer had to suffer. Please think about that, and maybe you might feel better, that a stranger just gave away something so important, that they could no longer use, so people didn't have to be sick any more.

Then like I said before.. give him time.. He'll come around.. That's the Van I know and I know that hasn't changed about him. Nothing has. He's just going through something no one should have to. No one understands and it's hard. I know it's hard on you too, not talking to him and him drinking, but you'll get through it.
