Hiru was impressed with Batsu's resilience. By now, it was more than obvious that his odds of winning this spar were nul. Heck, they were slim to none to begin with. However, despite the hopelessness of the situation, he was still giving it his all, even trying to get a few shots in in the process. Hiru was particularly surprised to see the chuunin had quickly identified that Gakkame was most likely the most significant threat out of all the his opponents. Few realized that in time due to his small stature...

Wanting to see another aspect of Batsu's combat skill, Hiru held back, remaining in defensive position to see how the battle would unfold.

Gakkame smiled when he realized he was the boy's current target. The arrows were grossly off target but they had still been fired in the right direction. Realizing his cover was blown, he guessed it didn't matter much if he showed his true colors now. Stopping in his way, he turned towards Batsu and started tapping his shell's breastplate. As he did, the sound was blasted from the speakers on the back of his shell, flooding the area. The beat was irregular and non rythmic. Some could have appreciated the melody as modern art; but to most this was simply random sound. Even worse, it wasn't really random, it sounded as though it was deliberately made to be irritating to the ear.

Bekkouchou: Hakkyou Ichijun (Shell Melody: Beat of Insanity) [Renamed Extrasensory Pulse]
A modern, irregular, and irritating beat with a discording voice support. A genjutsu that works directly on the mind. Instead of working on a single sense, the genjutsu uses the chakra to alter the brain's commands and sends all 5 senses into hyperdrive. The sense of smell is increased to well beyond even what a dog can have, the sense of sight becomes extremely sensitive to light, the sense of hearing exceeds even that of a dog or bat, the sense of touch is accelerated to and attached to nothing but the pain center of the brain and heightened beyond any known limit and the sense of taste is heightened as well. This all occurs far too fast for one not accustomed to these things to utilise. Due to the extra electricity being produced by the brain while under this genjutsu, the brain will eventually reach a state where it tries to protect itself and resets itself, instantly breaking the genjutsu. So this is only good for one turn but it goes a long way to give you a good free shot.

Seeing Gakkame was doing his thing, Kamesori figured he'd hold back for a while. He actually used the down time to plug his ears in order to hear as little as possible of the horrible music. He couldn't help but wonder about how much of a waste it was that that forsaken song was one of Gakkame's most powerful techniques. To listen to him now, few would suspect he was actually able to play very catchy melodies...

Batsu's eyes was filled with Gakkame's excessive noise. The boy dropped his bow as a reflex and immediately covered his ears, which didn't help at all. The sound waves had already affected his mental faculties and there was nothing he could do... but fight on.

The boy dropped to his knees and slowly uncovered his ears. The boise was still resounding through his ears and he looked up at the green-shelled summon... but something was horribly wrong. Batsu's vision had started to become a bit blurry and it seemed like everything was in slow motion around him. To make things even worse, the over-hype of his other senses were proving to be too much. Then it hit him, this was a genjutsu that he was being put in. That meant he had only one hope, break it before it breaks him.

The boy concentrated as much as he could to break the genjutsu and tried to break himself out of it. He tapped a couple of fingers to the middle of his forehead and muttered "Release".


All for nothing.

The ringing still continued in his ears, Batsu's other senses wer overpowering him and when he tried to get up and fight back, he ended up falling to his knees again.

At this point, Batsu knew he was done for and he lost big time. So he just stayed there on his knees and lowered his head. There was nothing he could do at this point despite the fact that he had tried his hardest. The boy fell short and was extremely disappointed in himself that he couldn't land a single hit... not like he had a chance anyways.

Batsu, being overwhelmed with disappointment, embarrassment, and the inability to control his own body, dropped his bow and just waited for there was nothing more that he could do.

Batsu gave a half-enthused smirk as he heard Hiru talk. After all, the boy did just get rocked by a devastating genjutsu, so his mental faculties weren't all there at the time.

He chuckled a little bit as he picked up his bow from the ground and stood back up again slowly, groaning.
"Ya know, I knew that winning wasn't possible with hearing how much of a skilled ninja you were. However, I wouldn't mind a rematch after we get back from the mission. It was fun trying to come up with a plan while in the midst of battle... even if they didn't go the way I had hoped."


Batsu turned and looked towards the village. "But for now, could you please help me get back to the hospital? I want to work on a stronger medical jutsu and, hopefully, finish it before it's time to go."

Behind Tenshi there was the sound characteristic of the most basic of jutsu like the Henge, or Bunshin. The sound was followed by a puff of smoke which hung around momentarily before dissipating to reveal Tsubaki Yuriko, as she stood still behind Tenshi. "If you want a sword like that one..." she began, her hands then reached out and pinched his cheeks from behind and lightly tugged on them. "You need to grow some gills, and change your name to Hoshigaki." she informed him.

Yuriko let go of Tenshi's cheeks when he started talking so that she could walk up next to him. She guessed his goal was a good one, but she wasn't really all that familiar with the Seven Swords. When the boy finished and finally realized that she'd moved up next to him she laughed a little. She put then put her finger up to the corner of her mouth as if she were thinking. "hmm, I don't know anything about the Seven Swords, or any missions that we're supposed to do, or what I want to make you do." she informed him. Yuriko the looked to the other two as if she was looking ideas. she then curiously removed the hand that was touching her face to position it so that her index finger was held laterally over her thumb and so that from her perspective Hiru's face was framed between her fingers. "Is that you Sharky-kun?" she asked him.

Batsu placed his bow back in the holster on his back. Meanwhile, Hiru-san, Tenshi-kun, and some unknown female seemed to be conversing. He didn't want to intrude and really needed to get back to work on his medical jutsu back at the hospital. Granted, he wasn't back to full strength. However, he felt like he was in a decent enough shape to get out of here.

Batsu dusted his legs off with his hands and stood up straight, facing the direction of the hospital. "Please excuse me, but I must be heading back to the hospital. I have something that needs to be finished. Sorry."

With that said, Batsu made the Tiger hand sign and vanished in a puff of smoke.

A smile crept onto her face, this one actually genuine, as Hiru confirmed that he was indeed Hiru. During the academy he was one of the only other people to actually be nice and acknowledge her. Everyone else was simply too afraid of Yuriko due to the accidental deaths. She appreciated his friendliness, and had taken to calling him "Sharky-kun" since she thought it was friendly and funny just like his personality. Eh? Don't worry Sharky-kun there wasn't any kind of ceremony... I just kind of got a promotion and then the Mizukage gave me three kids." Obviously her answer was a little weird, the Mizukage had given her 3 genin to train, he had not gotten her pregnant with 3 children.

Lately? I'm not really sure but I guess I opened Tsubaki-Sensei's Play Land, developed a new genjutsu technique, and I'm working on learning a few other techniques. she told him. She then looked back to Tenshi, when he spoke. "Why did you follow me here?" she asked him back in her usual flat voice. She seemed so serious when she asked it that one might of thought she had legitimately arrived first. "I came here to look at flowers." she added.
