91-988 stood beside a very large crater. Inside the crater was a large, cylinder, shaped tube. Walking down the steep walls of crater he finally approaches the container. It was jimmy rigged, if anyone tampered with the unit it would self destruct. Luckily he knew the access codes, so he didn't have to try and hot wire it. Punching in the access code the entire tube just collapsed, revealing a large metalic device.

Mecha trooper pressed a button on the top of the devices, and a small slit opened on the side. Pressing a few keys, on the num pad infront of him, he walked around the device to the back. It was a giant booby trap, and he had to dearm it. Any tampering of the devices, without first disarming the trap, would result in detonation. Unscrewing the back casing, and snipping three red wires, 91-988 pushed the severed wires out of the way and located the second num pad. Punching in his access code he withdrew his hand and retied the wires. The access codes reset, the detonator activated, and the new booby traps were in place.

Kuro ran through the forest at a swift pace as though she were gliding. She smiled revealing fangs, yes, she liked her true form.
She had long ago shed the red hair and golden gaze for one much plainer. She now had brown hair and blue eyes. She halted and leaped up into a tree, landing on a branch with ease.
Yes, it was good to be back.

Akki Rei Dude... why me...? The man is against me, isn't he? Whhhhhhhyyyyyyy?!Andre had no idea what the heck to say. He always left descisions to the jury and judge. How he wished they were here right now. Andre stood in silent as he placed his hand under his chin and scratched it. Hopefully he look like he was trying to come up with an answer, which he was doing anyways. Ya know, this is why I became a lawyer! He wanted to shout out at her, but he knew he had to play out his planned part. Seeing that Selyna wasn't looking at him, he relaxed a bit. He glanced about the cave, silly enough to hope that the stone walls could provide him an answer. He really didn't want the werecreature to destroy life though... "Follow your heart." He said simply and easily though he felt stupid saying this cliche line. "Follow your heart and be happy, young one." Wow... Andre began thinking again, That sounded cornier than the movies... Selyna waited paitiently as the lord was probably calculating something quite wise and beyond her comprehension. When he finally said to just follow her heart, she was a bit crestfallen, but figured this was probably some test to see if she was really worthy. So, my Lord, you are suggesting I not only ask Spyse for my forgiveness, but that I go after Focht as well? I have to admit I don't think he feels the same about me as I do. She fidgeted a bit as she mentioned Focht's name out loud, she hadn't done that in a while. Biting her bottom lip, she dropped her head completely. Perhaps you could tell me how he really feels or how I could get him? The last part was barely audible, but she felt she could do nothing else but ask, to this point he'd actually been quite tolerant.

So this wasn't going very well. He really didn't know how to act like a lord or did he know what to say. He really didn't know what the heck was going on or did he care that this girl was after Focht. Andre didn't know Focht, but the soul inside him did. He really wished how the whole werecreature society thing was right now. Then again, he was happy to be a demon rather than anything else.
"Ahhh.... Focht... I assumed you spoke of another." He said trying to save himself. Maybe he could see why Focht though. "Did he not leave the land for leadership in the Black Company? Focht was always one to protect all who are under him. He strongly believes in his duty and nothing else, sadly. If he feels his place is with this company then leave him be."
Andre gazed down at her. This was tougher than he thought. He was sure if he knew all the facts he could get himself out of it instantly. He had to strain his ears to hear her last sentence though and frowned. What could he say to her?
"You have said Focht does not love you, correct?" He asked to stall the time. Hopefully the words would sink in and hit Selyna which he really didn't want to do, but he had no choice, right? "I cannot speak for another feeling, young one. I cannot dictate how one should love another or who to love." A ache in his heart suddenly swell within his chest. Personally, he wished it was a heart attack. "If you truely love Focht, you will let him go and let him move on."

Irvine returned to his small cave in the forest. It had been a long day for him. And the other night had been just as long. He had went to see an old friend of his. He needed somthing done to his blade and after it was taken care of he left and traveled back here. He had gone very far though and was tired. However, his run in with Mastema made him recalculate his strength compared to Xol's and Mastema's. Irvine did not like being weak. He did not like being the helpless one. Helplessness was one of Irvine's greatest fears. He decided a bit of training was involved. Irvine removed his coat and his shirt and placed them inside his cave. He also took off his boots and set them along side his clothes. He cracked his neck and popped his knuckles. He found a vine hanging from a tree and ripped it down. He made a rope out it and tied it around another tree branch. Then he coiled the end of it around one of his hands until his arm was completely outstretched and up in the air. He then began pulling himself up with that one arm, going up and down.
He breathed in and out in a slow pace and counted mentally. After about 30 pullups he switched arms and then proceeded to do 30 more. It took him only a few minutes before he was finished with the exercise. He then began to jog. He jogged off into the forest just letting his feet carry him. He carried on like this for a couple miles before he stopped and began breathing deep. Sweat was running down the side of his face and his head. After he had caught his breath he turned towards a tree. He clenched and unclenched his hands into fists several times. Then he turned his agression on the tree. His gloved fists pounded on the tree with jabs, hooks, and kicks. Wood chips broke off every once and a while and even Irvine's kunckles began to bleed. He hardly noticed. He was so focused on his training. After awhile Irvine stopped. His knuckles were a mess of blood. He looked at them and then licked the blood off. It was kind of sickening though being a Vampire, it was what he did. He spoke to himself after he had cleaned his knuckles.
"It is not the great who are strong...but the strong who are great...I must become stronger if I am to have a chance at defeating Mastema...much stronger..."

Selyna tried her hardest to receive and accept the words of the lord, but visably shuddered as the words stung her. Unable to hold it anymore, she dropped forward on her arms, the ratty hair hanging limply about her head and shoulders. The few tears she shed, she thought disappeared into the grass where they couldn't be seen, but in actuallity it created dark spots on the stone she was really on. Y-yes my lord. As you wish. I'm sure your judgement is far superior to mine........., but......if I may ask...... Why have me fall in love with someone I couldn't have? Was it a test? She looked a pathetic mess on her hands and knees, though her face couldn't be seen through her mud coated hair. She'd need to get cleaned up soon, before trying to get back in society, or more like someone to tell her. Soon she began to sway as the fatigue kicked back in, her short nap had helped, but not much.

Andre eyes literally popped out of his eyes and his jaw hanging as he heard this. What the hell...?!!! His eyes blazed red as he heard this, his anger flaring. His hands rolled into fists as his thoughts raced in anger. So some damn lord wanted this girl to fall for Focht, huh? This guy will not be forgiven. He felt a change in his body and struggled to fight it off. Not now. Not here. Don't you dare make me change!!
He dropped to his knees in front of Selyna, mostly because of the internal inside, but he knew he couldn't leave her sobbing like this. He looked at her in this position before he reached out and embraced her, hoping this was the right thing to do. "Young one, I am not the lord that you have served under... rather I look like him as many has commented. I would never have put you through such a struggle."
Since Andre had transformed to his demon form, his body was bare and his pants in tatters. The only thing other than his pants was the locket he wore around his neck. "Quiet and rest, young one." He said gently and softly, "Rest now and save your strength for the 'morrow."

Selyna looked up to the lord and smiled. I know you're not the one I've been under. I just thought you all got together to decide everyone's fate. Our senior councilman has told us how you sent him down as a lord on Earth to better protect us. He's changed all the rules and everything to better show us how to live our lives. Just like he said you've all decided. Her eyes fell to his locket and she smiled slightly as her eyes closed to fall asleep again. I gave one like that to Spyse once........ She drifted off and fell limp as sheer exhaustion caught up with her.

Unfortunately for Irvine, his knuckles began to bleed again. He sighed as he looked at them and shook his head. Suddenly, out of no where, rage took hold of Irvine. He spun around and gave the tree a powerful punch. So much so that it shattered the trunk and sent the tree falling forward. Irvine side stepped the falling tree and watched as it crashed into the ground with a mighty impact. He suddenly began to lay waste to the fallen tree. He interlocked his blood spattered fingers and smashed downwards, breaking through the splintering wood. He tore off a branch and began to beat the tree repeatedly. He rage suddenly came to an end as he gave one last punch to the tree that shattered what was left of the thing in two. He sighed and looked down at his now blood covered hands. He looked at the tree he destroyed and shook his head. He fell to his knees and looked at the ground with lifeless eyes. Eyes devoid of emotion or any sign of life.
"Why must this pain and anguish linger?! Why must I endure such torment?! I am all alone in this world...no comforts...no one to lean on...I am alone...and still this pain lingers...It is driving me insane. Why can't I rid myself of this?! WHY?!"
Always the question that was on Irvine's mind. Why? The question that had never been answered and may never be. Irvine was a tortured soul. His body could mend itself and heal itself forming scars over where he had been hurt. His spirit on the other hand always had open wounds. No scars formed over them. He was left with eternal anguish and pain with no one to help him.
"When I die...this pain will follow...I shall never be left alone...always this pain will follow..."

Andre still didn't get it the whole lord this and how a bunch of old fogies could decide a person's fate. Even the soul that resided within his body agreed with him and let it be known, that will probably be the only thing they agree on. He said nothing though when she looked up into his eyes and smile. I could fall in love with those eyes and that smile. He found himself thinking.
When Selyna's eyes fell on his locket, he also looked down on it and blushed. Andre knew how he got, but the soul vividly remember who gave it to him. His heart ached deeply as regret flooded inside. You can't live full of regrets. What's done is done now. Let her go already. Andre thought, speaking softly to the soul.
Andre only nodded when he heard Selyna's final words before she fell limp in his arms. He craddled her in his arms and didn't really mind her muddy appearance. He thought she was pretty cute this way. He sighed though as he gently laid her down near the remains of the fire. He walked out of the cave, exiting out in his demon form.
His eyes wandered around the surroundings before he walked up to a dead tree as he flexed his claws. In a matter of minutes the tree had become small blocks of wood. Taking only a few back, he rebuilt the fire, lighting it with his magic. Wrapping his wings around his body, he looked down at Selyna before he turned and walked away taking a seat on a large rock.

"I find no happiness in life. And I will find no solace in death. Am I doomed to walk this earth for eternity and wander it with such pain in my heart...in my soul? Am I forever cursed to follow the path of death and destruction, having no comfort except for the dead faces I carve out of the living? There is nothing worth living for...and yet nothing worth dieing for...Torn am I between the double-edged blade...Should I fall then may God have mercy on my bleeding soul...for no one else has shown any..."
Irvine sat there on his knees. All alone in the wilderness. His hands bleeding. A tree demolished beside him. He wore nothing but tattered jeans. He closed his eyes and looked skyward. It was as if he were waiting for the executioner to take his head. In a sense...he was.

Selyna felt herself as if she was falling back to her world, but in actuallity the man was just putting her down. After a while she felt warmth andas if someone had hugged her. Drifting off even further, she felt safe for a moment,........but only a moment.

Irvine staggered to his feet. He left the tree and went back to his waterfall cave. There he stepped through the waterfall into the cave. He didn't bother to dry himself. He walked to the back of the cave and bent down. He felt around for awhile before he felt somthing cold touch his hands. He wrapped his hands around it and dragged it into the dim light that filtered through the waterfall. It was Nightmare in cross form. Irvine closed his eyes adn suddenly Nightmare became it's sword form. The onyx blade looked deadlier than ever in the dim light. Irvine took a seat with his back up against the wall examining the blade.
"Blade of darkness...What evil deeds we have done together...no more...I shall find no heaven in my hell, however I am ready to face the demons. I have faced the demons here but now I see it is my time to move on. Nightmare...send me on my way back...back to the darkness..."
With that Irvine took the blade and slit his left wrist. Blood started to ooze from the now open wound. And man was it oozing fast. Irvine turned the blade to his left hand and slit his right wrist. Both sides of the blade were stained with Irvine's blood and itwas only a matter of time before Irvine himself fell into eternal darkness. The beauty of it was that no one would be able to stop him in this secluded place of his. Irvine closed his eyes. He felt numb. He began to murmer to himself.
"Death is nothing new...I come before you again...as your master..."

Kuro glanced down from her tree, down at a man she had only seen once. She blinked in curiosity as he staggered to his feet, his hands bleeding. She descended from her perched and followed him cautiously, watching as he disappeared behind a waterfall.
She wondered if he would feel her presence and chose to remain silent.
The metallic scent of blood hit her nose, causing her to sway momentarily. That scent always brought back painful memories. The death of her mother, her father, and. . .and. . .
She shook her head, she would no longer think of them, each of their deaths were avenged. That left a lingering question of what she would do next in her life. Would she find happiness? Was there a reason to live on?
She looked to the waterfall. She felt a sudden sadness and wondered why this one had given up. She closed her eyes and urged back tears, this like so many other things was impossible to stop.
