:: Kain Harvey :: "My father..... he always Hated me... He said it my my fault my mother died.... "Flashback: Kain was a man born through bloodshed. His mother, Cecilia, died giving birth to him, choosing to give him life at the cost of her own. This selfless act left him in the care of his father, a man known as Kluya, to raise him. However, his father had little care for the youngling, as Kain had been born at the cost of Cecilia's life; as only Five Death Eaters could ever exist at once; thus when Kain was born she was to die. Much abuse was taken out against Kain, who darkened his heart in the form of black armor, the darkened armor draining away what light may have remained before. Finally, in the dead of night, Kluya came for Kain in a drunken rage, sword held high over the boy. In self defense, Kain tried to hide, until he could feel the steel of his father's blade inches away from him. At last the Death Eater's own sword, the Darkness Blade, manifested before him and into his hand as it slashed upwards, shattering through his father's blade, across Klyua's neck... Minutes seemed to pass in frozen time, and at last, the father fell to the ground, dead... Kain had killed his own father with a single stroke, and thus ended his torment from the man. After that killing stroke, Kain took up arms against the world, his power flowing out from his darkened armor. His pain became the world's pain, and many in his clan had called him a bloodthirsty, pathological, homicidal maniac.... And they were right. He took joy from killing, and it seemed every slash of pain against his opponents numbed his own pains. They called him many names, though his favorite had always been the Black Titan. He loved the bloodshed, and at last, he finally felt the joy of dying; drowning within his own blood..... But the mountain he had died upon was sacred, a pure white mountain in the center of a forest of pure evil... The Full Moon, a blue moon to be specific..... Legend stated that should the moon repeat such a phase; the exact two days in a single month the blue moon had happened when someone died on it; that person would resurrect should there be no more deaths there.... And there were none.... Three Kage of the time had killed him, but within fifty years, that time would pass; the men whom had fought him would die off. At the end of those fifty years..... The Moon Phase would repeat, an event none had ever expected. Memories of suffering had passed from the minds of many, but there were still three warriors who remained. One stood bound to an oath of immortality, as were all the dragons, two roamed free, waiting to fight again. It was here, under the light of the full moon that the Black Titan rose from the mountain that he had met his doom upon. The memories still left a bitter taste in his mouth. The day when the three Kages and three dragons had fought him, how he had almost won, how The Hokage of the time had pierced his armor. And then... within the depths of hell, the eternal rage of his master... fifty years of punishment within the fiery depths of Hell; but now he had returned from those depths, the powers of a titan flowed through his veins. Undying Evil, the Black Titan, the Dark King; all these names referred to this man... He was once again was encased in his armor of black iron, as black and glistening as ink fresh from its jar, covering his entire body except for a white back with two eye slits. Two glaring red eyes shone through these slits, striking fear into the hearts of mortals... Eying the sky above, he saw two golden dragons circling the cliff. “They’ve been waiting for me,” he laughed, “But these fools are powerless now. Only three of the original group remains, five if you count their dragons.” The dragons lowered themselves at their riders’ command. One of the gold dragons was a male dragon in his mid 300’s. He was the youngest of the dragons that had fought this titan in the past. His name was Shadowbane, and his speed had been valued by his rider, a former Hokage, in present time now deceased. The Raikage of the time now used him as a mount, the last dragon of the war against the Black Titan. The other golden dragon that stood before this titan had only just turned 150 years old. He was young and less experienced, but the back robed magi who mounted him, found him to be an intelligent and noble companion. “So we meet again...” the black robed man growled, his face still held his youth, a gift of the magi, but his eyes showed his true age in sorrow. He held a golden staff with a pure violet crystal glowing within it, the elemental orb and golden weapon he guarded. Tied to his back was an oaken staff with a dragon’s head made of silver with ruby eyes. “This time Black Titan, you will stay dead!” the ancient Raikage said as he dismounted Shadowbane; a bronze spear held in his hand. The spear was powered with thunder and had two spiked extensions neat the spear head, allowing it to be used as a war hammer. Skilled in ninjutsu even without the aid of his rank. The Raikage re-mounted Shadowbane, his spear magically extended to the length needed to attack from dragonback. The Black Titan just stood and smiled beneath his helmet, his staff glowed sickly green with an endless bloodlust. The Raikage’s spear struck The Black Titan’s armor dead center…or it would have if it had not gone through Ñecro-Ellanse, sending the warrior of Hidden Cloud crashing into the ground. The black robed magi's battle spell, a bolt of red light, also passed through the fiend. “I’m no longer of this world, but my master has given me powers beyond yours. Now, watch as I show you what my powers can really do...DIE!!!” As he screamed the word, Shadowbane gasped in horror as he collapsed. His body decayed as if he had been 2000 years old. The Raikage’s eyes widened in horror at the sight, no creature so noble deserved to die such a horrid death. “Do not worry. He will rise…only not as himself anymore…RISE!!!” The dead body of Shadowbane rose from its collapsed state. No mind inhabited the body; its only desire was to destroy. The dragon zombie turned to the younger gold dragon and breathed an eruption of black fire; destroying it instantly... With only the Kage and the magi remaining... they both nodded as the black robe began chanting a long forbidden spell; sending a bolt of crystal light onto the dust that remained of Talonblaze, sealing the dragon’s soul within it as it solidified into a golden crystal. drawing upon the crystal's power, the magi send a powerful ray of pure light, strong enough to unmake everything within its wake; and thus obliterating the dragon zombie in its path... The Crystal now bare from the release of energy; the Magi had not expected this to happen and wished he had now used the ability on the Black Titan instead... But there was still hope... Behind him; the Raikage had finished his pattern of Five Hundred hand seals as he chucked the barren crystal towards the Black Titan; a sudden mist engulfing him as he was sealed within the crystal... both the magi and raikage having their souls sacrificed into the afterlife in order to do so... The spell had not only sealed the Titan within the cyrstal however... it had ensured that should he ever escape, it would be bound to take a solid form, thus allowing future generations to fight him on an even front should the power be needed... The seal would last 1000 years... or so the legends stated... But now, several hundred years before its time... the seal had shattered, the Black Titan freed, and now something deadly lurking within his wake... The destruction of the nearest village to him.... Thankfully, for many, that village was his own and when he arrived he found that a Death Eater had died; and there were none born. As of this fate, his seal had shattered, freeing him to again have five Death Eaters in the world. Upon arrival, he found he recognized none of them, though his eyes would mark him as one of their kin; the fifth among their number. Deciding it be best to learn the current traditions of the world, Kain had been sent on an infiltration mission to the Shinobi Academy; his order being to watch and learn, but not to destroy anything unless he deemed it necessary for either his own survival or the survival of one of the other Death Eaters in the Academy; as he had arrived in a young generation of Death Eaters; the elder among them being a man whom Introduced himself as Richard; though something seemed different the second time he saw the man. Perhaps multiple personalities for eating too many souls. Now standing at the gates of the Shinobi Academy, Kain would look at the Academy for several minutes, glancing it up and down before commenting; "Civilization seems to have progressed quite far in my absence... No more home schooling it seems; pity. If this kind of place had been around, I probably wouldn't have had to kill him..." he spoke in reference to his father, shaking his head as the emotion of sympathy faded, again consumed by his darkened armor... Honehime remained silent, not moving either, as she simply enjoyed the peace and warmth of the moment. When Shuku said that she appreciated the flattery, she reluctantly lifted her head somewhat from Shuku's bosom, so she could look up into the Mayonaka's eyes. "No, it is not flattery, but the truth." She nodded after saying that, waiting until Shuku would hopefully return the gesture before she would do anything more. She would have liked nothing more than to return to resting against Shuku, but just then she heard something from beyond the brush surrounding their campsite. Just a quiet sound, it almost sounded like walking. Could the others be back, finally? The fire was ready to go, hopefully they had brought some food. Now that the group was this size, the small amount of jerky and water she had carried along with her would not be nearly enough for a day, let alone the entirety of their trek to find the mandrake. (6486 words + 163 words = 6649 words) Lieselotte passed a bush that would have looked familiar if there was more light, as it was it resembled nothing so much as an immense shadowy mass. Nonetheless, she knew where she was, they were very close to camp. Gladly listening to Sakazuki's humming rather than her innuendo-laden comments, she covered the last stretch of their trek before slowing to a halt. Even though virtually all of them had no experience within the Academy, they were still reasonably well-stocked with life experience. And if she were the one in the middle of setting up camp, and someone abruptly burst in, she would attack before recognizing them. So she motioned largely for Sakazuki to stop as well, her motions exaggerated to still be visible in the low light. "Ze camp is just ahead, shall we announce our presence?" This could all be paranoia on her part, of course. But then again, considering her line of work, a little paranoia was often vital. (7348 words + 163 words = 7511 words) Mei continued to watch Kuroshika and Jakiro work on possibly using alchemy to repair Kuroshika's heirloom. She would be on hand if they needed her assistance. But they seemed to have the situation well in hand. It took a long moment before she flashed a smile when she realized she'd made a joke. Considering what Jakiro had done to his hand, and having the situation well in hand! She nearly chuckled, but after a few recollections of sour looks she'd gotten from older members of the village when she laughed aloud for no reason, she stifled the urge. Instead, she turned to check on everyone else. It was getting late, and the other two still hadn't returned. The one she had only seen, she was a white-haired girl in a black dress. The other, she knew her a good deal better than that. After all, she had been the one she'd gotten to help with her milk problem. Her cheeks flushed slightly as she remembered, and shivered a little as the remembrances of those sensations ran through her. (4119 words + 178 words = 4297 words)

"WE'RE BACK!"
Upon hearing the word 'announce' from Lieselotte, the Circe was quick to follow through as she served as their own personal herald as she burst through the foliage, rabbit in hand as he set it down near the fire of giving both Shuku and the Kaguya each a jerk of her head, or rather, a bow, in greeting before she emptied out her pockets, allowing dozens of little nuts and seeds to little the floor as well. Staring over her bounty for several moments, she then looked over her shoulder, towards the familiar sight of the cowgirl and the other boy... And a newcomer. Quietly then, Sakazuki raised her brow.
--------
Shuku's head had instantly jerked towards the bushes at the sound of rustling leaves and the snapping of a stick, and several moments later, the familiar sight of the witch girl came as she let out a faint sigh of relief. So it wasn't a bear... Or a monster... Or Bigfoot. She then turned, watching as the witch spread a plethora of bite- sized morsels across the ground beside the fire.
Would it be enough for all of them?

 Honehime started when she heard Sakazuki announce, quite loudly, that the hunting party was back. She watched as the two re-entered camp, bringing the bounty of their expedition. A rabbit, and assorted nuts, berries and other assorted edibles. She hadn't thought to bring a pot or anything, so what would be the best way to prepare everything? She thanked Sakazuki and Lieselotte for the efforts, and returned to thinking of what to do next. There were a few options, but which would work best for feeding a group of their size? That might take some thought, Hopefully someone else would have an idea to help get things figured out. She looked back to Shuku, wondering if the Mayonaka had any ideas. (6649 words + 124 words = 6773 words) Lieselotte's eyes widened slightly when Sakazuki abruptly announced their presence, in a louder manner than she had expected. Adjusting quickly, she followed Sakazuki back into camp, looking around to see what all had happened while she was gone. The fire was fully prepared, that was good, no waiting for that, then. As well, some of the group were working on a broken sword. She didn't have any idea what that was about. So instead, she just followed Sakazuki's lead and began emptying what she had gathered into a small pile by the fire, setting down the various herbs, mushrooms and berries. She cooked on occasion, but she didn't do it too often. So hopefully somebody else could handle that particular chore. (7511 words + 121 words = 7632 words) Mei nearly jumped when Sakazuki's cry rang out, sending a series of slowly decreasing tremors through her bust. A moment later, she got to her feet and approached the returning two, welcoming them back. She hadn't thought of it until they started bringing out what they had gotten, but she hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, and she was getting a little hungry. She was pretty sure that the others would be, too. Looking over the trove of what they had returned with, she started mumbling out loud in a soft voice, considering a few ideas for cooking. She could lend a hand if needed, she hadn't really done all that much to help yet. Sure she'd provided some wood for the fire, but she liked being helpful, she wanted to do more to help the group. She didn't really know what things would have been like if she had actually gone to class. what she did know, was that she was enjoying her time here with the others, and that was enough. If they'd have her, she'd like to stay with the group, continue on with them. even though she had no idea what their goal was, or where they were going. (4297 words + 202 words = 4497 words)

Kuroshika jumped slightly the blade fragment bobbling in his hand and promptly falling into the center of the fire. "Oh crap..." Kuro sat there poking at it with a stick for a few moment before he felt a pair of eyes bore into his back, it seems that their companions had taken note of yet another male joining there group. While they fretted with the food and the newest addition to the group Kuro looked into the fire, he'd managed it well enough the first time when he retreived the flaming stick from inside the fire, but could he duplicate the results again, this time the fragment was much deeper into the fire, he might have to stick his whole arm in to retreive the important fragment. It was a skill he'd spent four summers working on under the tutelege of his biological uncle, he lived on a floating isle that seemed to make the rounds over their contenent and each summer would pass over alchemy for a period. His mother and his adopted host of aunts didn't have many practical skills, unless you count... well he'd rather not think about their professions. No one back home even knew he could do this, it was his own little secret and that made it special to him. Looking back over to see where everyone was looking he quickly turning, focusing his chakra and moving his hand ever closer to the flame, he reached out the flames licking his hand and he winced, it wasn't pain, just a strange sense of discomfort that went through his body, his face flushed and his body became tense and then relaxed his muscles smoothing out. He took a deep breath and pushed his hand farther into the flames reaching for the piece of metal, he tried to acomplish all of this without drawing the attention of any of the others. His fingers could barely brush it, but he managed to scoot it closer to him and then he curled his fingers around it and slowly extricated his hand from the flame. He cradled the important piece in his palm and shook it slightly as it began to cool. "Maybe a stew would be best?" Kuroshika said as he turned and tossed the still glowing piece of the sword back into the pile, it was only then that he noticed the bottom part of his sleeve was still aflame, he quickly shook the flame off hoping no one noticed the odditity in that the cloth neither burned or harmed his skin. "Since our numbers have increased and supplies are limited." he couldn't claim he was a good cook, but it wasn't unusual for him to help out in the kitchen when it came to preparing meals for large groups or parties that frequented his strange home. Still not wanting to draw undue attention to himself, he busied himself with his blade scooting the various shards and fragments around into different combinations that might lead to the reconstruction of the heavy weapon. He started with the transmutation circle and began to work his way outwards.

"I have water if you all need something for the stew," Sakazuki piped up almost automatically after hearing Kuroshika, her hand raising to point a single finger in the direction of her gourd, which lay abandoned near the side of their camp. While her gaze then fell upon the container for several long moments, the thoughts of washing herself soon arose as well as she sighed.
Was there a river somewhere back there...?
As chances were, a sponge bath just wouldn't get the job done after roaming through the forest... And in Sakazuki's case, falling... After getting soaked by milk.
==================
Upon hearing the word 'stew' from somewhere behind them, Shuku gave a nod of agreement. Even if the two girls had evidently done their best in searching, they still didn't really have enough to divide out 'real portions' between their group. "...To just mix it all in a pot would be best," she started, her gaze sweeping over the rest of the group. Of course, while even then, the meat would be sparse in the meal, in the very least, the chances of things being 'equal to all' would be slightly more likely.

 Honehime looked around as everyone discussed what to do. True, Lieselotte and Sakazuki had returned with food, but with the size of their group, they were limited in just how far they could stretch it. A stew, like the others said, sounded like the way to go. But there was one little problem with that. Looking around to confirm her worry, she found out she was correct. Waiting for a lull in everyone's comments, she forced herself to speak up, before raising what she thought was a very good question. "A stew sounds fine, but did anyone bring a pot?" She knew she hadn't, and she didn't recall seeing anyone else carrying all that much in the way of supplies. (6773 words + 120 words = 6893 words) Lieselotte crouched by the pile of herbs, beginning to work towards separating the various types and removing any stray leaves or particles of dirt, things that wouldn't belong in their meal. She would leave the rest of the planning to the others. Glancing up at the Kaguya, she realized that she was right, nobody did seem to have a pot. She knew that she didn't have one. No matter, though. Something would work out, probably. And if not, they would survive. Maybe not in the most comfortable manner, but they could manage. After all, they were all presumably training to become ninja, a little hardship should be par for the course. (7632 words + 111 words = 7743 words) Mei looked around as everyone began talking about what to do for supper. A stew sounded like the way to go, she wondered if she could help. Then, the quiet girl with blue hair spoke up, saying they needed a pot. She looked around, thinking it would sure be nice if there would just happen to be a pot lying around, ready for them to use. But of course, there wasn't. She glanced around one last time, then turned her head back to take a second look at Kuroshika. Had his arm just been on fire? No, he didn't look like he was in pain or in flames, it must have just been a reflection or something. She rubbed her eyes, wondering if she was getting tired already, and took another look around. Kuroshika was beginning to try to piece his sword together again, she moved closer to see if he needed any help. At the same time, she'd try to listen to everyone else, so that if they could figure out something to do, she could hopefully offer to help. It was possible she could make a pot with alchemy, but it wouldn't be easy. And they'd need a supply of metal to work with, that would be too much of a stretch to try to draw upon the earth beneath them for. She never once considered the idea of using Kuroshika's sword for such a purpose. Both because she wasn't the sharpest tack in the box, and also because it was a precious keepsake, it could hardly be put to such an ignoble purpose. But mostly the first option. Instead of taking his eave from the academy, Zetsumei remained there. He figured it would prove valuable in the long run if he stayed in this facility for a while longer. He simply would learn all the basic jutsu and then take his leave or at least he would attempt to. Besides, he might even meet another of his kind here, since they all were being birthed at the same time he figured that another Death Eater was bound to be here in the ninja academy. "Now what jutsu shall I acquire to improve my arsenal?" He questioned himself as he sat up in a shady tree over a small training area. The area was rather small but had enough room for a good battle to take place. A few training logs, a couple trees, and a small pond were the only items that were within this arena; Zetsumei figured he could practice all the techniques he needed here because it had all the equipment. He had acquired a small booklet from his former Hidolf Sensai that was somewhat of a walk through for learning the jutsu available at the academy. "I shall begin with this water walking technique." Zetsumei thought as he leaped down from the tree branch and walked over to the small pond area. "It says here,' Water Walking 101: Begin in a shallow area and focus your chaka into your feet. Once that has been done, begin walking towards deeper areas of water. You should be able to walk as if on solid ground. If you are to break the focus, you will fall through; though over time this may become second nature to a ninja." Zetsumei looked around in search of a shallow are to start off, but unfortunately there was no such place because the pond was man made and was some what bowl shaped. "Damn." Zetsu thought as he began to focus his chakra into his feet. He would slowly place one foot in front of the other, gradually walking atop the water. He could feel himself slightly droop into the water a bit with each step, probably because he wasn't focusing to much chakra into this art. After a good half an hour, Zetsu noticed that the sun had began to set and it was staring to get dark. And being a Death Eater in the dark, meant a huge power boost. As he stood atop the water, without even noticing he was focusing chakra to his feet anymore, his body started to emit a black aura. It was dark energy, not only did this look cool, it also made the water ripple, giving Zetsumei's presence some what of a god-like scene.

:: Kain Harvey :: 'Mission is to infiltrate the Academy so that we can forge our own training program without others needing to lean of who, and what, we are.... Priority is given above this mission in order to protect and intervene against any other Death Eaters I come across...' Kain repeated his mission mentally before entering the academy, his hands twitching on the hilt of his twin blades; Kotetsu and Kiku-Ichimonji; a pair of katanas forged of Damascus steel; the black grains of metal glistening when drawn. As they were, for the moment, sheathed, Kain had no reason to show them off; as the blades' quality would likely bring attention to himself if he were not cautious to begin with. His senses caught the vague aura of another Nin, he inhaled the air and grinned, recognizing the scent.... It was the small of darkness, an environmental effect to be specific. The aura was certainly present within the area; and not his own, as he was taking caution to keep it suppressed, as not to draw attention to himself in accordance with his mission. Sighting the other Death Eater, Kain quickly spoke towards him; "...Quell the aura! Lest you bring attention to our order!"This must be one of the younglings that the his Lordship Richard had mentioned; one he was supposed to keep an eye on. Kain's own armor was forged from his own soul, a darkened version of it, granted, yet still a powerful house of stability; the darkened armor shielding him from emotion and the motes of light that may have sprung up from his heart. In opposition, this Death Eater's armor was only in its early forms, various plates of armor popping up on the more vital locations, most of it greytones as opposed to black; and no hint of the bloodstained armor joints that his own armor housed. He was likely a youngling confused on his path; something that the Death Eaters could not afford to have... Nodding, Kain decided it best to keep an eye on him to ensure he did not prove a weak link in their order. Quote: Kain Harvey Before: 1623 + This Post: 357 = New Total: 1980

Zetsumei turned at him being addressed, but instead of turning completely around, he only looked over his shoulder to see a dark figure with several protruding plates of armor emitting the same dark aura as Zetsumei did. "Another of my kind." Zetsumei said with a slight grin as he turned around completely. He could see that his fellow Death Eater had his entire body in cased in armor, while Zetsumei only had certain sections. But rather than what appeared to be skin on Zetsu was a special flexible material that is also durable and can sustain massive damage. So even though it doesn't look like armor, it proves very protective. At first sight a foe might think of it as skin, but it is rock hard and extremely difficult to pierce. "So, fellow Death Eater, I presume you have also just been created. If so, we are all in the same, birthed from darkness, destined to be the true reign of chaos." Zetumei said to his fellow Death Eater as he leaped from the center of the pond over to where his fellow Death Eater Stood. "I am Tsukaite Zetsumei." he stated in his cold, death-like voice. He stood and placed his hand on the black sheathed katana that rested upon his back, for no reason. He waited for a response from his fellow being.

:: Kain Harvey :: "Nay... not recently created. I was recently Freed... The legacy of the Death Eaters only allows five in existence at a time; as I'm sure you're well aware. For a new one to come into the world, one must cease their life... I was lucky; I didn't die. I was sealed away.... According to m'lord, there was a death with no birth; thus the trigger to my freedom of the seal. As the only Death Eater left to possibly make the number five, I was freed from my imprisonment... Kain explained his story simply and to the point, not bothering as to mention his age, an irrelevant fact of the matter for now. Upon closer investigation, he could see that this younger Death Eater, while cocky, hd some knowledge of what they both were. Despite his armor lacking the same tones of dark taints his own had, with time it would likely become as strong as his own. He still had doubts, but for now he would allow it to quell, deciding not to worry about it for the moment, instead deciding to test the boy's swordsmanship. "I am Kain Harvey, Well met Tsukaite... Tell me, are you trained in the art of the Dark Blade? Or are you merely wearing it for decor?" Had his armor a mouthslit, Tsukaite would see the Dark Knight's lips curling into a smirk. Kain's own blades, Kotetsu and Kiku-Ichimonji were of an older design, each requiring a slightly different swing. Kotetsu was his faster blade; designed like a Tachi; the length of a regular katana with a slight curve to its edge; allowing it to spin and slash easier than an ordinary katana. The other, Kiku-Ichimonji, was slightly weighed and shorter than Kotetsu. Its blade was thicker and designed for stronger hits and to take blows acting as a shielding sword as well. One for speed, one for power; the basic balance of a dual swordsman. Quote: Kain Harvey Before: 1980 + This Post: 331 = New Total: 2311

"A game of sword play. I do accept." Zetsumei said as he would clinch his other katana in his other hand. No with both of his blades ready, he slightly withdrew them from the sheath revealing only about half an inch of a black obsidian metal. With the blades already slightly unsheathed, it would prove easier and faster to withdraw them quicker and with much more force. Two katanas, both light weight, durable, and sharp. "But of course, we are not here to kill each other, remember." Zetsumei stated," And please, refer to me as Zetsumei." With both his katana readied, he simply waited for his opponents first action. He had a strong feeling that this little game would indeed help his training in the academy, even if it was actually practicing jutsu. The two stood about ten feet away from each other, perfect starting distance. 144+675=819

:: Kain Harvey :: "I'm not worried about you trying to kill me, kid. I'l give you advice, it's not the fast blade you want to watch out for." Kain grinned as he unsheathed his twin blades from the single sheath he kept them in at his side. Unlike most dual swordsmen, he did not keep the blades on his back; rather keeping them in a singe sheath on his side. This both allowed him the comforts of mobility in his back, and the convenience of being able to draw a single blade without becoming unbalanced in his upper body. Kotetsu and Kiku-Ichimonji now in his hands, the longer of the blades, Kotetsu arced above his head while the shorter was in a defensive poise; Kain readied his stance and slowly began encircling his opponent. His circular pace both examining his opponent and marking the boundaries of their battlefield. "The goal is a strike on your opponent with the flat of your blade... Three hits for the win, no jutsu to be used." Despite initial appearances, Kain's armor was actually quite flexible. The red lines upon his armor were able to bend and flex like the jointed portions of his armor which would appear on a natural suit of armor. With the normal jointings, plus the red joints of his own design, it allowed greater mobility in his armor, and it was one of few armors with a layered back plating, allowing him to curl in his back when needed and to arch backwards; the platings shifting among one another like the movements of a serpent.
