Jealousy had been trying to enjoy the quiet of the outdoors, letting it calm her down so she could get things in perspective. She unwelcoming air was pushing her to ponder if she should leave......and it only increased when she heard the soft voice question her. It commanded authority, and didn't seem all that welcoming, either.
Turning around, the demoness looked upon a man that held a gaze that screamed power. His eyes resembled those of Alexis' mother.....a relative, it seemed. Her wine-yellow eyes held a confusing mixture of amusement and hurt. She merely shrugged and turned to look back down at the ground.
"Just someone who was invited here......and ended up showing who she really was.....and now finding that she is unwelcomed." She let out a mocking chuckle, speaking the words with such a strange sense of casuality, as though she were used to it. "I suppose I'm just stalling the inevitable......and should be on my way." She stood up slowly and dusted off her skirt, letting the petals and stems she had been picking at for the last few minutes fall to the grass.
"Sorry for troubling your family." She said as she began to walk away slowly, staring at the ground in idle thought.
Song didn't mind letting Raven usher her into the room or direct her to sit on the bed. She watched as she joined her, her eyes never leaving focus as she listened to her speak. Ever word was taken into consideration, every action looked into for meaning....and she took solace in knowing someone understood how she felt.
She looked down at her ring-bearing hand and sighed softly, her eyes gazing at the sparkling gems with confusion.
"I know that.......I've known of the bond, Joes nature, and everything else. And yet I find that doubt plagues my mind." She sighed heavily, not sure if she could explain how she felt in words.
"It just hurts to see the strong hold that he has over Arioch......that something that borderlines obsession. Hearing and seeing what I did.....and feeling Ariochs pain, knowing that Joe caused it....it hurts so much to see that and not be able to do anything about it. I can't ease it or make it better myself, but I can't make the source of it go away either, because that will just cause more pain and suffering."
Her head hung and her amethyst eyes shut as she finally found a way to express one thing she felt. "I feel so.........useless."

His ear twitched as he listened, a slow smile curving his lips.
"Alexis invited you...So you must be Jealousy."
Elric only heard about the demoness. And now he was seeing the female for the first time.
"What gives you the impression she doesn't want your company here?" He was a curious wolf indeed. "My family always has problems....You couldn't have added what wasn't already there..."
Raven smiled a little. She always felt useless at times. Especially with Joe and Arioch both. She never let Arioch touch her the way she would let Joe...Joe brought something out that was insatiable for her...She wasn't always sure about Arioch.
"Doubt always fills one's mind." She always had doubt and she was a little surprised Jealousy hadn't picked up on Raven's own negativity. She figured she had dealt with the situation for a long time that it just became apart of her.

Jealousy stopped when he mentioned her name. She looked over her shoulders at him and gave a light smirk. "That's my name, don't wear it out."
She turned to face him now and raised an eyebrow when he started asking questions. To the statement that she couldn't have added to the situation, she let out a harsh laugh and shook her head.
"You think so, eh? Well, given that I've just warped my own housemates mind with doubt and played upon her hate and envy of her fiance's lover-slash-pet.....is it any wonder no one would want me around?" She shrugged a bit, her wings twitching behind her as she thought over her statement. "I guess when I'm being what I really am and feeding upon what I need to....no one can stand me. I mean.......oh brother, nevermind."
She grumbled a little and sat upon the grass again, looking clearly frustrated and stressed. "You probably don't even understand what I'm talking about." It could be seen that the glow that had once been on her cheeks from her power-trip was fading quickly, her skins vibrance starting to dull as well.
Song watched Ravens reaction to her statement. She felt deeply for the wolf, knowing that her love was unrequitted and would remain so because of the incubus nature. That had to hurt more than any physical wound.
"Doubt comes at the worst times....usually when happiness reaches a peak" She sighed heavily and looked down at her ring again, shaking her head. "I'm sorry.....I shouldn't be bothering you with my troubles. You have enough of your own."

Andras, who had been keeping quiet, simply keeping Zaro company, turned towards Jealousy as Elric mentioned who she was and how she fit in and bowed to her. A sign of respect for his mistress' friend.
For now though, there was no reason to talk. She was talking to Elric and he would not interfeer.

Zaro decided to seat herself on the ground, sitting on her knees. For her, it made bowing just a little more easier. She too remained quiet as she watched the pair talk.
Elric smirked in return. "No need to explain. I can understand what you meant."
He remained standing. "I've had most of my life warped by either fellow melniboneans, the gods, Chaos, Law, Balance...You name just about everything has tried manipulating me. Though...I can't say the voice of jealousy has ever ruled me."
He said the last a bit thoughtfully. "I know....hatred and jealousy are strong and can rule one until that's all they are... but if kept inline, they can be liked even understood....but jealousy doesn't act unless something is... " he trailed a moment, trying to figure out how to phrase what he was saying. "provoking it?"
He frowned and shook his head, his white wavy hair cascading down his back. "Then again, we can only be ourselves..."
Raven smirked. "I've dealt with my own problems since...well school I guess. You however are new to the negative world, at least with what you are feeling. You say you're not allowed to feel such and I don't think that's true.."

Song looked to Raven and shook her head. She wasn't entirely new to the negative world.....but for her to feel this strong sense of disdain for someone was uheard of, except for once.......and she would have rathered to put that memory aside.
"I am inspiration to many....I bring joy, meaning, and so much more to those that call me. I bring music to life....and my judgement can't be clouded by my own negativity." She looked to the side for a moment. "I try to be accepting, welcoming, and true.....for if I stray from my joy, I could hurt those I inspire."
Jealousy had taken note of the familiar dragon and the bird woman, who was new to her. She nodded to them both in acknowledgement before turning her attention back to the man before her. He claimed to understand what she meant......heh, how strange.
She listened to him speak of his life experiences. Hearing him mention that her attribute had never ruled him, she expressed a bit of curiosity. How could someone have never been ruled by envy or jealousy, even for a moment? This was a puzzle she'd have to solve at a later date. For now, she let him ramble in thought. Hearing him explain the traits of hatred and jealousy, she smirked a bit......and then it quickly faded as he came to a very correct conclusion.
"You could say that I was provoked......or rather, called to." She shrugged a bit as she watched him, observing his mannerisms. "I mean....when my housemate felt strong hatred and jealousy towards another, it attracted me. She was calling to me...and my soul has been starved of the negative energy for so long....my hunger overruled my common sense, so I pounced on the open prey."
She shook her head a little, running a hand through her spikey hair. "I'm Evil, dark, and malicious....it's just who I am. I need attention from others or my darkness is starved. Even after toying with Songs mind, it's not enough......I feel the weakness returning. I crave more....and while I know it's around, I shouldn't do more damage here. So...I don't know what to do, except waste away.....yeah, I know that was martyr-speak." She shook her head and went quiet, not sure of what else she could say.

Elric smiled. He had been wrong after he had given it some thought. Jealousy and envy had touched his life...he had envied many in his journies because they had something he desperately craved but never really gained...or so he thought he had never gained.
"Just as an incubus strives to keep fed through it's hunger, so must you." He observed. An odd comparison but one he was sure was good. He had watched Alexis struggle with that hunger and she was only really half of the incubus...
Raven smiled a little. "Sometimes, it's a good thing to feel what others have felt...It may give you more..." She searched for a word and came to the only one popping into her head. "power I guess. Inspiration to others."
Raven just wished she could erase a history she knew could never be erased. To her, it was like trying to keep Joe to herself, a constant hope that he would stay with her and her alone but she knew it was impossible...

Song shook her head a bit more fervently to Raven's statement. It held truth to it....but not for the muse. "The last time I let dark mortal emotions take hold of me....the one I inspired ended up playing his piano on and on and on until his fingers bled and broke." She shuddered a bit and shook her head again.
"It was many decades ago, yes....but I don't wish to do that again. I can feel and allow the dark emotions to help me inspire others....but I cannot allow myself to feel them, or things will get truly ugly." She looked up to the wolf with a gentle smile. "I suppose you could say that I sacrifice myself, in a sense...."
The smile had caught Jealousy's attention. It held realization in it. She shook her head a bit and returned her gaze to the ground.....until he spoke again.
She looked up to him with a look that clearly said astonishment. He was perceptive....to the point that it seemed as if he almost really DID understand her, where no one else did. Comparing her to an incubus, she could have laughed at the complete irony of the situation that had spurred all of this and his lack of knowing it.
"Well, at least you seem to get the idea...most people just think I'm being cruel by choice." She smirked a bit. "Granted, I could if I wanted to be.....but I already drive enough people away."

Or try to be, he thought. He knew self doubt very well... it always crept into his mind when he least suspect it, even when he was aware of it. In most of his adventures, he was suppose to be dead...
Raven smiled. "It seems we have a lot in common..."
She was always sacrificing herself for something. Whether it was her own happiness, her memories....or something.

Jealousy smiled.....not a smirk, grin, or any other form of twisted delight......but a genuine, contented smile. A strange, unfamiliar sense of solace came over her.
"If everyone thought like you did, the world would be a much nicer, more welcoming place." She said simply, picking at the grass a bit. "But....sadly....the world and the people in it are flawed, and that's where creatures like me are born."
Song smiled to Raven and nodded.
"Yes, I believe we do.....not necessarily in the best sense, but at least we can understand each other."

Elric gave a small smile. "If everyone thought like me, they'd all be in peril to each other...more so then they are now I guess."
He gave a little swish of his tail which was as bushy as his hair was flowy.
Raven nodded. "An understanding will be a good thing. Even if it is the worst of things that we have in common."
She smiled a little and looked to the muse again from having to shift her gaze a little. "Feeling any better?"

Jealousy shrugged a little, looking up at him curiously.
"I don't see how, but if you say so..." She flicked her wings a bit in thought. "Well, you know who, or rather WHAT, I am.....but I would like to know who you are, if you don't mind."
Song smiled a little to Raven and nodded.
"Yes, a bit. Thank you."

Elric blinked, wondering how he could say who he was. Rather then the typical I'm so and so and this is my title, he decided to go with the simplest.
"Elric. You've met my granddaughter, Raven and of course you know my great-granddaughter Alexis."
Raven nodded. "Good..." She gave a little smile. "So now what shall we do?"

(( -tosses a randomly injured Testament into the mix- XD ))
After the encounter of that foolishly stubborn feline Chi, he had found himself eye to eye with one of the gears... Well, she wasn't one... but she was a hunter of them. The female with a claw... it wasn't their first encounter.
He had gotten pretty messed up from Baiken... she really was quite the tough female.
Dried blood scattered his torn figure, stomach and arms torn with woulds hat looked like a bear had mauled him. He was weak, and dripped with the repeatingly opened wounds that spilled his darkened blood on occasions of shifting from his perteched position under a large tree.

((Wheee!!! Tosses a just conceived Alexis at Testament* >3 ))
Alexis was enjoying the break from her house. Having an upset uncle, upset aunt-to-be, and a friend not really helping the situation, and everything just kinda piling up on each other, Alexis wanted out of the house.
She was reclining in the tree as she yawned softly. She hadn't fed for a little while but she wasn't feeling the effects of her hunger just yet either. The scent of blood drew her attention and she looked down, her hand pushing her hair back as she studied with the temptress's eye as to what lay beneath her.
