Bakura told Kira, connecting with her mind again. Nobody takes away my hikari.> Bakura untangled his hand from Ryou's hair, but smoothed down the boy's silver locks instead of letting go of him all the way.
Ryou was tempted to get out of Bakura's reach. But all he knew about the room was what Bakura showed him, and that wasn't much. So he could bump into a machine or something that was needed by Kira. He didn't want to risk her life or anything because of his carelessness, and stayed by Bakura's side, moving out a foot to his right to see if anthing was in the way. He heard that the beeps in the machine had changed, and Bakura spoke to Kira, supposedly, but he thought that it was just a trick by Bakura. Kira must've been drugged or something to remain sleeping, and Bakura had fallen silent. It must have been a trick.

Kira let go of bakura and dident repond to him angry enough already.Her hand then gently reach out taking ryou's hand.He would be able to tell right awy this was kira.He was the only person kira was this gentle with.

"Kir..." Ryou wasn't able to even finish her name. His voice was thick with emotion, and he gently squeezed her hand back. "I'm so sorry..." He whispered, knowing that he had given in. He had tried to promise himself that he wouldn't break down in front of Bakura, but he knew that he would be sobbing right now. He remembered what Bakura had shown him as Kira's state, and knew that she couldn't talk because of the tubes or mask. And he couldn't even see her. How fitting was that?
Bakura's eyes narrowed as he grabbed Ryou's wrist and tore it out of Kira's hold. Both were weak, Ryou from emotions and Kira from the drugs, so it was easy to do. "Very well. I shall have to inform a doctor that you are awake. I assume that Khalid will want to see Ishizu again. I do not want my hikari around you, Kira, since I have found another method to get him back to what he was before. And to think that I was about to settle on his state when he was with you." Bakura chuckled darkly as he started to lead Ryou towards the door.

Kira was glaring daggers at bakura as they left.She couldent do anything,she was too weak.Her mind reached out to ryou using the last of her energy she told him before her eyes sliped closed the link breaking.

Outside of the room, Bakura allowed Khalid control of the body, but kept a watchful eye on what he was doing. Khalid felt Bakura's presense, and kept his mind blank enough. Stopping a passing nurse, he told her in English that Kira had waken up, as unstructed by Bakura. Khalid would've liked to speak with Kira himself, but knew that Bakura would've just taken over the body and done something else. So Khalid went down to Ishizu's room, gently leading Ryou along, who was silent. As he walked down the hall, Khalid noticed an odd taste in his mouth, and gagged when Bakura cheerfully informed him of what he had done with Ryou. Using Khalid's body. Khalid felt uncomfortable around Ryou after that, and had to stop at a water fountain to rinse out his mouth repeatedly.

A nurce came in to do test like moving fingers and follow the light.She couldent understand a word the women was saying.The the doctor who knew japanese came in and traslated for her.She hated doctors and hospitals in genral so she fliped them off closing her eyes,falling asleep.

"Khalid!" Ishizu was sitting up in bed now, and beamed when he walked into the room. It vanished when she saw the disgusted look on his face. "What's the matter?"
"Bakura." Khalid snapped shortly, ignoring the look of slight hurt on Ishizu's face. He ripped off the Millennium Ring then, the cord snapping, and thrust it towards Ryou. "Here. He's your bloody yami, so just take it," He snarled at the boy, tying a knot where it had snapped and putting it over Ryou's head. "And Bakura," He said, knowing that the yami was listening, "The Millennium Items are still mine. You're have to win them from me if you wish to have them, but don't expect to win. I have more power without you." It was true; now Bakura was reduced to sharing Ryou's body, blinded, and had only one Millennium Item. Khalid had the Millennium Key and Scales now, along with the inner strength from before. And Khalid knew that his body would heal without having Bakura around and if he was with Ishizu.

Kira was now sleeping peacfully.She had used up alot of energy she just dident have.

(A few days later, dun dun dun...))
It was almost as though Ishizu and Khalid had adopted Ryou. Ishizu was allowed out of the hospital now, but her muscles were still too weak from being in a coma to really allow her to be fully released. Khalid spent a lot of time either at the hospital or with Ryou, just to keep an eye on Bakura, who never showed. Now the trio were at the park, arguing. At least, Khalid and Ishizu were arguing. Ryou was silent, retreating farther and farther from others since seeing-- well, not really seeing, but you know-- Kira.
"I overheard a nurse saying how that 'girl from Japan' could be moved into another room today. But she was speaking a little low, and it's a little hard for me to understand English when they speak fast," Ishizu was saying, her eyes on Ryou to see any emotion. She didn't want to fight with Khalid right then. "I think the tubes are gone. Would you like to go talk with her?"
"Of course he does, Ishizu," Khalid snapped, not wanting to stop quarreling with Ishizu. He was just about ready to snap back at her in any way he could think of. "C'mon. Why didn't you tell us before?" He helped Ryou to his feet, since they had all been sitting on a bench. Ishizu tried to defend herself from Khalid's sharp words as they went down to the hospital, near tears.

They had moved kira out of ICU into a normal room.The breathing and feeding tube had been removed.Now all she had was the I'Vs in her.Kira was asleep in her bed her face burried into the pillow.She couldent move her legs or her left are because they were broken and her right arm had the I'Vs in them.

"I don't know why you're so rude to everybody now!" Ishizu was saying gently, glad that Ryou was in between the both of them. She wasn't sure if she was going to try and punch Khalid in his mouth or hug him. "What happened to you?"
"Oh, just shut up!" Khalid snarled. They were in front of the hospital doors now, and he suddenly broke away from the other two and stormed down the street, grumbling under his breath.
Ishizu sighed. She wanted to go after him, but wouldn't dare leave Ryou alone. "Come on, then..." She muttered, going into the hospital. She got the room number for Kira easily, but had to assure the nurse there that she wasn't a reporter of any kind. It was slow process, since she had almost forgotten her English. "Thank you." She said finally, and then led Ryou to Kira's room. Without even bothering to knock, she opened the door and went in to find Kira sleeping. "Oh. She's sleeping, Ryou," She told the boy, knowing that he couldn't tell that. "I'm going to go get a drink or something. Stay here in case she wakes up."

Hearing Kira's faint voice, Ryou was able to move over to the side of the bed. He stretched out a hand and found her face, where he brushed a few strands of hair away. "I don't want to..." He said softly, in response to her statement. "The ice-cream is all mine. None for you. Don't lick my nose."

"Well, maybe about the ice-cream part, but not really..." Ryou murmured, a trace of a smile on his lips. He moved his hand up and rubbed his thumb over Kira's hand. He paused for a moment like that, then his face flickered back to it's blank look. "Khalid gave me the Millennium Ring back..." He said softly, not mentioning that Khalid had actually forced the item on him. His hand moved away from Kira's to trace a finger along it. When he spoke next, his voice was choked. "I'm so sorry. I wanted it so that nobody would be hurt by Bakura. He said... He said that it was my fault you got hit. That if I had stayed in Domino you would be there. I'm so sorry."
