The sensation of combat rushed over Rath in the aftermath of victory over his first opponent. It was a feeling that seemed almost unfamiliar, despite having experienced so much of it in the past. He had definitely been sitting behind a desk for far too long, though apparently had not yet lost his touch. Not even a single drop of sweat had formed. He found his focus narrowing, his mind quieting, and he yearned for more.

The last opponent was faster, but lacked the strength needed. Perhaps if it had been against a magician, the outcome would have been different. Rath knew how to hunt, a skill he then taught his own daughter. Facing a shifter was by no means the same as hunting a wild animal, predominantly because they weren't wild animals, nevertheless many of the same attributes still remained. For a moment, Rath recalled that several beast shifters had joined the second investigation team...

Magic: a stinging, burning, tearing sensation that can sometimes even grasp and sap the very soul. It is a chaotic art, even in the more orderly form of light, and thus often unpredictable when faced in combat. The result could have easily been different. A drop of sweat slid down the side of Raths face.

The opponent was clearly trained in a form of sword fighting created by Lord Arajudia, very commonplace amongst swordsmen throughout the land, but he had a long way to go in mastering it. Rath was unsure how much time had passed, but knew the next opponent would be his last for the day. He didn't want it to end.
