Maddy got a lady at the counter to get her pair of earrings and paid for them.
"I guess the only thing I have to do now is get my hair cut."
She walked back over to Misery, who seemed to be having some trouble picking out a pair of earrings.
Maddy scanned through the display case she was currently in front of and pointed out a few pairs.
"Hmmm... There's a couple black amethyst studs over here... Oh, and a cute pair of black diamond skulls with little emerald eyes... And some basic earrings encrusted with little tiny gems..." She just get listing off everything that she thought may suit Misery's look.

Maddy told the lady at the counter to fetch Misery's new pair of earrings.
"Hopefully you have enough money for them. If not, I can put it on my credit card and Dark can pay me back later."
The lady went to fetch a nice little black box to put the earrings in. She soon returned with them, all set.

"The woes of life. You can grab food back at the hotel, if you want. It's all paid for by the money I nabbed from Archie's safe in his office when we were back at HQ."
They left the jewelery store.
"I need to get my hair cut and then I'm done shopping for the day. It's getting expensive."
She took out her TADS and they continued down the street. She sent a message to Dark:
Successfully taught your Gardevoir how to spend money. You may want to send her some more.

Maddy replied to him.
BUT I NEEDED A SHOPPING BUDDY TO GET READY FOR OUR DATE! Fine, I'll pay for everything else.............
She pocketed her TADS.

Soon enough, they found a hair salon. The lady inside greeted them happily.
"What kind of look would you be going for today?" She asked Maddy as they approached the counter.
Maddy thought for a moment.
"Well, my hair is way too long." It was true, it was almost down to her knees. "So if you could chop it off so it just reaches down to the middle of my back, that'd be much more manageable."
She tried to think of what else she could get done and then glanced at Misery's new do.
"Highlights. I like my natural hair colour, but I'd like two streaks of color on my left bang. One emerald green and the other a nice bright blue."
The stylist smiled. "It shall be done!"
Maddy was pulled off behind a curtain and a few moments later, arrived with her new hair cut. It was a pretty big change, but it looked just as she had wanted it.
"I guess we're done for the day. Do you think Dark will like my new look?"

Maddy didn't really expect that kind of response, but it definitely wasn't something she didn't want to hear. "Yeah, back to the hotel." She said, paying the stylist.
The venture back to the hotel took quite some time, as they had traveled pretty far around Lumiose City. Once they got back, Maddy led Misery to the dining room. Buffet tables lined the room, covered in food.
"Pick out whatever you want. It's all paid for as long as we remain guests here."
Maddy wasn't very hungry herself, so she chose a small plate and picked out a few pieces of fruit to munch on in the meantime.

She sends out Brick, who takes three massive plates of food and sits at a table by himself.
Misery takes mostly vegetables but grabs a bit of fried Magikarp and she sits with Maddy. "(It feels weird talking with another human.)"

"(Don't be sad.)" Misery says, being able to sense Maddy's emotions. "(I'm sure he'll come back. That's why Brick and I are here, right?)" She takes a large mouthful of mashed potatoes. "(And I'm pretty sure he has feelings for you anyway.)" It was weird seeing something with it's mouth so full talk normally.
