I had a similar kind of character drawn up, but she was a full robot and she had this super futuristic cold sword.

I'm trumping KB next year, I'm entering a 12 year old girl with no armor or weapons. Granted, with how things are going I'm going to have to plan carefully how to overcome the next deus sent my way... Last year it was a mage who could spew napalm from his hand for shits and giggles, this year it was a man who could overcome a scalpel in his collarbone to go on and stab a spear into stone deep enough and without losing momentum to perform a 6 1 9 (With his neck). Honestly, part of me thinks I'm just unknowingly uber butthurt and trying to comfort myself while another part is screaming for things to make sense. I hope next year I face Tres, partly because I think it'll be a great fight that I won't have to worry about deus in, and partly because I want him to get beat by a kid two years in a row...

Your character also lost his nose and apparently gave zero ******** he died to an attack that probably wasn't fatal by intent or design.
So it probably evens out.

While I disagree, I would have been content if that was the explanation I was given. I was just told I had a somewhat dry character and Vin complained that both of our posts were confusing as all living hell but mine was a bit worse. When I asked about it, the explanation summarized was "It didn't really matter."
So even if I don't really agree with you, I can respect that and if the judges told me that I can be like "Huh... Well I can see it." Regardless, with every new GTB my expectations rise a bit. Not sure if they should, but at least this year we have Sokoya... Thank god we have Sokoya... v.v I mean hell, were it just Vin... Well I think I would have just lost faith all together v.v
