"Eh?" Cyrwys asked, like she was frightened. She began to back into the cave but she tripped and fell, letting out a strangled yelp.
When the man heard Cyrwys cry out he knew it was his target. He began to move quickly to the cave, with nearly superhuman speed.

Muon stepped out of the cave when he heard the man moving. He knew exactly where the man was and moved to bring him down.
Garin was up and moving towards Cyrwys to protect her.

The man had his knives out and he slashed at Muon, trying to get past him towards the cave.
Cyrwys let out another yelp. "What's going on?" she asked Garin.

Muon moved out of the way of the knife and moved to punch the man in the stomach.
"Quiet," Garin said, urgently. He lifted her up and moved her farther back into the cave.

The man grabbed at Muon's wrist and tried to throw him back.
"What is it?!" Cyrwys demanded in a furious whisper.

Muon was practically unmovable. He simply adjusted his stance and, brought his other hand to grab the man's face.
"I don't know, but shut up," Garin said again, getting up to go help Muon.

The man tried to cut Muon again. He moved out of the way of his hand.
Cyrwys gave a little gasp but she shut up. She watched Garin go.

Since the man was still holding Muon's wrist, the vampire did not allow him to get far and he moved to sweep the man's legs out from under him while he attacked.

The man then used a little bit of magic to attack Muon. His magical abilities weren't wonderful, but they were enough for what he needed.

Muon would have had him on the ground, since he did not try to avoid the attack. "You are a coward," he said simply, as he twisted the hand that had been holding him.

The man cried out and used more magic to try to attach Muon. "Demon spawn," he hissed.

Muon sensed the magic and twisted his hand more to break his concentration and the wrist, if need be.

The man cried out when he felt his wrist break. He tried again to stab Muon.

Muon grabbed the hand coming towards him and squeezed it painfully. "Now, now," he said. "Only a coward hides behind weapons and magic."
