"Do anything it takes to win! Losing isn't an option! When you fight, you have to prove yourself! You can't hesitate!" The large nosed man pulled the cigar from his mouth and tapped some ashes off, "You're all here today because you're scum. The only thing that keeps you going is the thrill of gambling. You're here because the moment someone mentions money, you come calling. You're just Pavlov's dogs!" He slammed his fist on the desk.
Kilik was the only one who decided to speak out. He stood up and looked around at the others. "You're wrong. I know why I'm here," he crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm here to prove myself against the others. I'm here to prove that I'm the smartest in this room. I could care less about the money," he shrugged, "That's just a bonus." Kilik sat back down, his arms still crossed. His face was stern - he didn't appreciate being lumped together with the other scum in the room.
The man in the front stood up and took a long drag on his cigar. "You think you're special?" he grumbled. He put out the cigar. "If you don't win...!" he slammed his hand on his desk, "If you don't win...! If you don't win...!"
Kilik woke up suddenly, sitting up. He glanced over at Mitsu, who was sitting next to his bed. The boy let out a soft sigh and fell back onto his pillow. What a vivid dream. He let his heart stop racing and relaxed a bit. Slowly, he reached out his hand and held onto the girl's. "Y'know," he laughed weakly, "You didn't have to stay. You could leave if you wanted. If you have other plans..." his voice trailed off.

Mitsu willed back the tears, not really wanting to have been caught crying. She flinched slightly as he took her hands. Her hands unfolded from their clenched positions, small red nail marks on her palms. She almost wanted to draw her own away, but she found that she couldn't. His hand was warm and it felt nice in hers. She mentally shook her head. This was confusing, and she didn't like things that were confusing.
He had said she could leave. Mitsu could cast away all the confusing thoughts and run away, suppressing those as well. But she truly did enjoy Kilik's company. "I thought we were going to Sinnoh together," she said with a small smile. Though it must have look pretty pitiful. She could feel the tear stains on her cheeks and her eyes themselves probably were a little red. "Besides, who else is going to continually bring you back to the Pokemon Center?" She attempted to laugh, her voice cracking twice.
I wish you'd be more careful.
[x]
"Iron Tail!" Annie commanded. Her voice held an almost metallic sting to it, cold and harsh. Yena complied, she really have no choice in the matter anyhow. The Mightyena ran towards the girl's Cacturne, using the momentum to swing his now glowing tail at the Pokemon. Girl #2 simply recalled her fallen Pokemon as Yena loosed a victory Howl. This was easy pickings, it wasn't fun at all.
Unlike Jun Annie loved a good battle. She hadn't been the best at the task in ther little trio. Grah, why am I thinking about that s**t again? Needless to say she liked the thrill of a victory. But opponents as pathetic and weak as these could provide no satisfaction. A hallow victory with nothing to merit was all that it was.
"Nothing wrong with savoring your own independence," Annie said with a careful shrug. "And will you kindly have your Roselia get off that lovely piece of artwork?" I need to blast that Croagunk into oblivion. No one messed with me. She really, really did want to throw out some taunting insults and the like but that would only put her at a disadvantage in their little game between herself and Jun "Fierce." And that small game was much more interesting that this little scrimmage.

Why is she crying? Did I say something? Kilik's hand held firmly onto hers. "I suppose you're right," he laughed, "Especially if I keep drawing the kind of attention I've been getting lately." He pulled himself up, and in the process had wheeled Mitsu's chair even closer to his bed. He didn't like it when a girl cried, and given the amount of time they had been spending lately, especially if that girl was Mitsu. "We'll go to Sinnoh together so long as you still want to go...with me, that is." She must have been crying a long time, he thought as he looked into her eyes, they're much too red for just crying right now.
He really meant it when he said she could leave, but that didn't mean that he wanted her to. Kilik could feel his heart rate picking up again, and he couldn't conceal that fact - the monitor beside his bed was going crazy. He didn't know how to make girls feel better, but if it worked with his little sister...Then again, he was sure what he was about to do had more meaning behind it than just to perk up the girl next to him. "Don't cry, please," he whispered. Kilik leaned over the rail of his bed and pressed a kiss against Mitsu's forehead. His hand tensed as he held hers.
He pulled away the moment he heard Nurse Joy clear her throat in the doorway, though he had been there a good four seconds or so. Kilik went back to laying down, his hand still holding Mitsu's (albeit a little lighter, now) and sighed. Nurse Joy fixed the machines and scolded him for worrying her so much. The woman took one last look at the two, then left. When he glanced over at Mitsu, a light laugh escaped him. "Is that orange juice?"

It was rather easy for Mai to deduce which way the Raichu had gone; it was as simple as follow the trail of destruction. The same grunt and his Koffing were just struggling to their feet now, the grunt holding the Koffing under his arm like the Pokemon were a soccer ball. When Mai's icy glare was shot his way he froze, inadvertently backing up so that his back was pressed up against the wall. Mai passed by without uttering so much as a word - the glaring silence would be all the grunt needed to hear in order to understand just how much of a disappointment he was to the organization.
The Admin came upon the balcony that overlooked the gym arena, the sounds of a dying battle echoing through the corridor. Mai crossed her arms, the Raichu's Pokeball still in hand as she came upon the mouse, now tapping her foot impatiently. Shocker didn't even turn to look at the woman as she knew this was the end, and she simply closed her eyes before the red beam of her Pokeball shot out and pulled her back in. "Troublesome little rat," Mai murmured, though she did admire the Raichu's bravery. Now that the whole ordeal was over, Mai leaned on the railing and looked down at the arena, wondering who the little whelp was that was battling with Giovanni. It seemed her boss wasn't even breaking a sweat against the kid and she couldn't help but think that it was an odd time for a challenger to show up.
=-=-=-=-= The ice-covered Sealeo slammed into the Scyther with a loud thud, more pieces of ice flying off in every direction. The Mantis Pokemon got to its feet, looking as though it was on its last legs. Jaeshan saw this, and grinned, knowing that Shiva could take it out on the next round for sure. Once again the Scyther went forward, though it certainly lacked the energy it had initially started the battle with.
Combusken let out a pained cry as once again the Vigoroth's claws tore into her. "Fight back with Brick Break," Jaeshan commanded firmly, also certain that this could be the final attack. Combusken had other ideas though, and instead she jumped forward, lashing out with one foot and then the other. "I said Brick Break, not Double Kick!" Jaeshan grumbled, shaking his head. He sighed, wondering why Combusken chose to ignore commands sometimes, and he hoped that it would only be a temporary thing.

Jun smiled, not missing the gilded tension in her voice. Oh, he wanted the b***h to come out, come on, come on now! He did adore banter, and the more caustic and scandalous it was, the better. Gotta love the dramz. But no, he would have to be disappointed for now; this girl was a master at controlling herself; better than Jun himself, he had to admit. You had to be, you know, in order to manipulate others.
Jun didn't have to say a thing to Roselia; the flower was quite intelligent enough to move her a** out of the way lest she be blown away too, and so danced out of the way, not showing any sign of undignified surprise when the rabid dog flew past her and tore up her artwork. Well, whatever, the subject matter hadn't been very pretty anyways, and it smelt terrible, even with her lusciously scented Stun Spore. With the haughtiness of a prima donna, the flower strutted back to Jun's side, not even bothering to watch the two girls scamper away after being beaten down by one Pokemon. Pretty Pokemon like herself did not need to mettle in the matters of the commoners, the egotistical flower thought, before allowing recalling herself to preen in private.
Jun came closer to Annie now, genuinely impressed. "You're quite the monster, Ms. Sinclair," he said, still slick as can be. "Power and beauty, what a sinful combination." By now, he was right in front of her, just an inch or two taller than the woman. It was his turn to put a cool hand to her chin, lifting it up just so; he had long dropped his expensive umbrella in the dirt, since the rain had stopped, and knowing Jun he wouldn't pick it up again. His eyes smoldered with mischief and his lips curved up at the side in a crooked smile, but not for the reason one might expect if they saw this scene. "Mind if I taste some of that sin?"
Mm, you never know. Maybe sin tasted good in women too, Jun thought, leaning in and pressing tentatively. Goddamn lip gloss, was his first thought, but he chose to ignore it and do his job properly. And so he toyed with her lip, etc. etc., I'll leave it to your imagination.
After ten excruciating seconds, Jun pulled away -- and gagged. "Holy ********. Never again," he murmured, taking out a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe away the intruding shiny stuff on him. There goes any notion of his being bisexual, anyways.

If confusion was something Mitsu hated, well, Kilik was definitely there to provide. His hands tightening around hers were already causing enough for her own heart rate to skyrocket. Luckily she wasn't attached to the heart monitor, not that she really registered the insane beeping emitting from the machine anyways.
Needless to say Kilik's light kiss threw into a whole new array of emotions, her skyrocketing heart rate zooming off to another level. It was a simple act, nothing more than that. But it made her heart flutter and her eyes snap shut. Her hand held onto his as well, giving it a light squeeze.
And just like that it was over. Her eyes opened as the Nurse returned to check up on Kilik. "It's really not a problem," she said quietly as Joy scolded Kilik. Though she wasn't even sure if those words ever left her mind. Mitsu wiped her eyes with the sleeves of her new jacket, a small smile peeking from under the green cloth.
"It is," she replied, "I thought you could use the energy after you woke up." Keeping her voice even wasn't as difficult as she'd thought it would have been, but hiding the pink shade in her cheeks was. She handed him the glass with he free hand, it was cool to the touch. . . That was. . nice.

"Well, lets head off to the contest hall. We can get our pokemon ready over there." Sarah said as she fiddled with her phone some more.
"We made it with just twenty minutes before registration ends. Lucky." Jayme commented as they walked through the doors. This contest hall wasn't nearly as big or impressive as the one in Saffron but this one was also for beginners and that one was for professionals.
Robin and Luffy though were still impressed and excited for there first contest. Robin didn't expect to win this, she still thought that she might do pretty good. Luffy's appeal looked good in her eyes anyway. Waiting behind the other two as they registered Robin took a look around. People were filing in chatting about the upcoming contest and who all would participate in it. When she finally got to the counter Robin smiled wide and handed her pokedex over. "Could I sign up please?"
"Of course you can sweetie, you can have the last slot." The nice woman from behind the counter said. She quickly scanned the pokedex in before she took a small button that had a 16 on it and handed it to her. When the pokedex finished up the woman smiled at her as she handed it back. "Good luck darling!"
Spinning around Robin giggled as she and Luffy went into the changing area. Robin didn't have an outfit to wear for herself but she could put on some makeup or something. She also needed to brush Luffy's fur and fix Hat up a bit. The dressing room was more like a locker room with a few mirrors in it and a tv that showed the inside of the arena right now. Taking a seat on one of the bench chairs Robin reached inside her bag and pulled out some of her make up. She hadn't had a chance to put it on this morning and now that she did she had to make it count. With her new outfit on she needed a new color.
It was a good thing she happened to have lots of colors on her. Selecting a grayish purple color and using her tiny mirror Robin did her best to make herself look good. When she finished she looked in one of the larger mirrors and smiled. She looked pretty good, or rather she thought she looked pretty good. Shutting the compact she put it back in her bag and turned to Luffy. The little Aipom was playing with a cute little Togepi, that didn't look like it would be entering the contest and was just hanging around. "Luffy can you come over here?" Robin called out.
Upon hearing his name being called Luffy's ears perked up and waving goodbye to his egg friend he scampered over to Robin. It was then that Hat was pulled from his head and he was put on Robin's lap. He was a little confused at first not sure what exactly was going on. Unlike most Aipom the hair on Luffy's head was a bit longer which made it look like he had some messy bangs. The messy bangs that Robin was currently trying to fix with a soft brush. She was brushing the rest of his purple fur til it was glossy but she was having the most problems with the top of his head. It didn't help that Luffy was squirming around a lot to.
Robin spent the rest of the time trying to get his fur into some sort of niceness. When the announcer announced the contest was starting she stopped. Sighing she put her brush away and placed Hat back on top of Luffy's head. Holding him out to get a good look at him she couldn't help but smile. He did look adorable and win or lose Robin wouldn't trade him for the world.

He smiled, taking note of her pink face. He kept his mouth shut, however. Kilik took the cup into his hand and took a sip of the orange juice. "Thanks," he said, "I really appreciate it." He put his hands in his lap. His fingers were cold from the glass and he lightly touched his bare stomach, shivering to the touch. It was soothing, though. Kilik ran a hand through his hair and let out a heavy sigh. "I really hope the cruise to Sinnoh isn't going to plague the two of us with big burly guys who like to beat me up." He downed the rest of the cup and set it on the table.
"Did you see it?" he asked her, looking at her now, "Cable's evolution? My face was down in the mud. What was it like? Was it amazing?" If he regretted anything at that moment, it was that he wasn't able to see his favorite Pokemon evolve. He imagined that it was the most glorious thing that a person could lay their eyes on. He scratched his nose with his free hand, still noticing that their hands were still locked together. He smiled. I think...No...Maybe.

"Allllllllll right contest enthusiasts! Today we are here to welcome some beginners in the contest world. So lets get the Cerulean contest started! Our first round will be appeals! All 16 of our contestants will be showing off there pokemon's skills in a set of moves they picked. Its our first impression so be nice!" The announcer paused and the crowd clapped ready to cheer the people on. "Ok first off we have Dakota and his Squirtle!"
The two appeared on the field jumping up excitedly. "All right Squirtle lets show them your appeal!" The Squirtle jumped excitedly up into the air and Withdrew into its shell. Safely in its shell and high in the air now it started to spin letting out a bunch of bubbles from each hole. Just as it was about to land on the ground Squirtle popped back out and landed on one foot arms high in the air.
"Well! That certainly was a good way to start this contest! Lets hear it for Dakota!" The crowd clapped and cheered at the two as they left the arena and the next contest pair stepped out. "Ok everyone lets welcome Gabby and her Pichu Shockie!"
"Come on Shockie lets show them how cute you are!" The baby pokemon just nodded. Ready now the Pichu pulled out a Present and started skipping out into the middle of the arena the hearts from a Charm floating around it. When it reached the middle of the arena it held the Present up in the air and the top blew off and confetti flew everywhere.
"Wow what an amazing display! We are seeing some great promise from these beginners!" The crowd exploded into applause again. "All right preforming next is Paris and Paras!"
The trainer and her pokemon stepped out into the arena. The poor bug pokemon looked really nervous and after standing there for a moment it started to cry and ran back to hid behind his trainers legs.
"Uh-oh! It looks like the bright lights were to much for poor Paras. I don't think that will impress the judges to much..." The crowd wasn't to happy that it didn't get an appeal from this trainer, though they weren't to hard, they were just beginners. "Ok well then lets move onto contestant number 4! We have Aaron and his Swinub!"
Wanting to impress the crowd after the last display the Swinub dashed forward with determination in its stance. In his hands Auron had a few rings that he tossed out onto the arena. They landed with a clack on the ground. The moment they landed the Swinub let out a small cry and used Powdered Snow. Soon the arena was blanketed and the rings were hidden under the snow. The two weren't done yet though, Swinubs nose started to glow and using Oder Sleuth the ice pokemon dug up all of the rings and went trotting back to his trainer proud of itself.
"Wow finding those rings must have been tough! Lets hear it for Aaron and Swinub! Next up we have Sandshrew and Abigail!"
The two ran out and started there combination right away. Jumping up into the air the Sandshrew spun around like a drill and dug into the dirt. It was a little odd of a start what with people not able to see the pokemon. However when the Sandshrew burst out high into the ground on the other side of the arena it was pretty impressive. It didn't stop there though while it was in the air it let loose an barrage of Poison Stings. Landing like a ninja on the ground the crowd was slightly confused for a moment. That was until they realized that the Poison Sting needles formed a picture on the ground.
"That was a very interesting use of Poison Sting!" The crowd cheered as the field was cleaned and the next trainers stepped up. "Ok up sixth we have George and his Growlith!"
The two stepped onto the field looking confident. Not saying anything George pulled out a whistle and started to blow on it. At the first blow the Growlith ran out onto the field and stopped smartly. What followed was a bunch of well disciplined moves to the blow of a whistle. It had to be the best trained pokemon a lot of people had ever seen.
"Wow that was an impressive display we just saw! Now lets welcome Caterpie and Horris!"
Horris seemed pretty nervous but determined to go through with his appeal. The Caterpie moved onto the field as fast as its tiny body could move. There wasn't a lot of moves this pokemon could do and Tackle wasn't that impressive. This Caterpie's String Shot though was something that was truly amazing. The small bug started to let out the string crawling all over the pile he was making. It didn't take long before the pile started to grow pretty big and it started to take shape. After a full minute there stood a String Shot version of Venus the goddess of beauty.
"Wow! I have never seen anything like it! That should be in a museum that is for sure!" The crowd cheered as the statue was taken off of the stage. "Ok lets welcome Steve and Ghastly!"
Steve appeared like a ninja in a cloud of smoke on the field Ghastly fading on next to him. They started there appeal with a Night Shade causing the whole field to become covered in darkness. Unable to see the Ghastly now they were able to see a bunch of blue flames start to dance around the darkness. The Night Shade causing the flames of the Wil-o-wisp to glow in an unsettling way. The flames formed a few shapes on the field before the Night Shade wore off and the appeal finished.

London saw that wall of water coming and quickly initiated his plan - Rhydon was recalled and another ball was tossed out. After all, he hadn't used his one switch out yet. An Absol appeared, looking vaguely confused as to why it was called out. And then it saw the wave.
Oh shi-
Sorry about that, Samael. But we gotta beat this guy.
The wave crashed right into the white creature, sending him stumbling back, but other than being utterly soaked now he looked fine. A little warning next time would be nice, Samael thought as he shook himself off then stood ready for his command. Sorry. I'm having to play this by ear, I can't read this guy's mind. Anyway, get in there and Slash that Dragonite. The Absol gave a slight nod in response and dashed toward the dragon, going in for a Slash attack with his claws.
"Well that's what I was trying to do, but you're making it a little difficult for me. But whatever. I don't need Pokemon to tear a place apart. Just because you are able to resist my power, Giovanni, does not mean that your gym and employees can.." London paused to glance up at the balcony for a brief moment, offering the blonde woman who was watching a sardonic little smile before looking across to Giovanni. "So know this: if I lose and you reject me, I will not hesitate to destroy everything myself."

Sneasel seemed to be quite confused as to why Riza was leaving her new friend behind, but she didn't really question it. He may not have been a very nice human but he seemed to know a lot about being a trainer and stuff, and she thought Riza could learn a lot from him. The walk back to Slateport was short, and Sneasel would grin each time she caught Riza looking over her shoulder to see if Crenu was following or not. Sneasel never looked back herself, so she didn't know for sure, but she thought it was kind of funny. Riza didn't seem to get along well with other humans but for some reason this one was different. At one point Riza glanced down at Sneasel and sighed, seemingly understanding what the Pokemon was trying to say. "Yeah, I know. But I don't like how he was treating that Snorunt. Power isn't everything, is it?" The last part of that sentence she said mostly to herself, like she was a bit unsure of it.
She arrived at the pokecenter rather quickly and she went inside and gave the nurse all three of her pokeballs for treatment. It wasn't as busy as yesterday had been, but it was busy enough and there would be a bit of a wait before her Pokemon would be returned. Riza grabbed a sports drink from the vending machine and went outside. She didn't plan to stray far, since going anywhere without her Pokemon would be a pretty dumb move and she decided just to walk around the immediate area. It didn't take her long to stumble upon the battle going on nearby, though by the looks of it, things were almost over. She recognized the two boys who were battling side by side, particularly the redhead and she smiled. She'd spent some time with him the day before, and he had been a lot of fun to mess with. She strayed a little closer to the duo, leaning up against a tree to watch the rest of the battle.

"Cable's evolution?" Mitsu repeated, "To tell you the truth I didn't quite see all of it." She paused, "But what I did see was amazing. I think a bolt of lightning crashed into Cable. And then there was just this massive ball of electircity. It was just though, I couldn't see what was going on inside. And then it exploded (she failed to note that a few bolts had almost struck herself), and there stood your Electabuzz." Mitsu smiled, she wasn't the best storyteller, and she hoped this was all right.
The purple haired girl smiled. "The evolution was incredible, but the look in his eyes was even better. He looked so determined to help you. You really are a lucky trainer Kilik."
She thought of her own Pokemon. None of them had evolved, determined to save her. But that didn't make any of their evolutions any less magnificent. Especially Karri. She didn't have to evolve to save me. "Damn right. I saved your a** so many times Mitsu!" Karri spoke sharply. Or at least Mitsu imagined that's what the witty Gardevior would have said, a small smile appearing on her lips. As she thought she hardly noticed that she was drawing idle circles on his hand. "Anyways, it was probably the most amazing evolution I've ever seen," she said. Well, not counting my own Pokemon of course. So she was biased, could you really blame her?
[x]
Annie recalled Yena back into her Pokeball. Good job darling, she thought. While she was no longer the strongest on her current team, she was always a main and necessary member.
Annie grinned as Jun came closer; it was obvious, what he was trying at that is. She'd play along though. The 'monster' placed a hand on the side of Jun's face and kissed him back.
Brushing her lower lip with her thumb the woman mused, "Mmm." Yes, he wasn't bad, not the best she's ever had, but hey. "I'll give you credit for trying something like that. Not bad either," she taunted after a moment or two of pausing, "But you're gay aren't you?" The woman folded her arms across her chest, a smug look on her face. Did being kissed by him bug her because he wasn't straight? No, not at all.

"Oh, you are?" said a semi-dejected voice from the partly opened door. A tall, rather proportionate woman came out, any hope in her eyes fading entirely when she saw the challenger there. "Oh! Sorry, sorry. I was expecting the magazine delivery guy," she said with a sheepish laugh, trying to explain her conduct. Whitney had left her with this job; she wasn't supposed to mess it up like that and be so unprofessional!
"Sorry, but Whitney isn't here! She has like, a lot of stuff to take care of, so she won't be back for a while. I am her replacement, though, and my name's Bee -- I mean, Blanca; if it so pleases you, I can still accept your challenge, and we can, like, continue as any other official gym battle," the woman rambled, pulling out a roller from her green hair that she had forgotten. Whoopsie. Well, she hadn't been expecting anybody today, it had been pretty slow around Goldenrod lately. Blanca smiled shakily at her challenger, just as nervous as she was in all honesty. She hadn't been in this post very long and so she'd only been challenged twice; one was a win, one was a loss. The whole business still sorta freaked her out though, I mean, oh my god, she was a replacement Gym Leader! Crazy.
---------
"You caught me red-handed," Jun confessed, raising two hands to his ear-level. A moment later, however, he put his black-rimmed glasses back on, and bam, there was attitude-filled Jun again. "Hey, but you /did/ get kissed by a gay guy, so technically it's not your win either," he teased, his normal tone of speech returning. "But just not bad? You women are way too hard to please, I feel bad for the straight men of the world."
"And I've been just /dying/ to say, although you have such beautiful skin -- what's your secret, would it be too rude to ask? -- oh, don't mind my bluntness -- your cuticles, horrendous. I only say this 'coz you're so close to being flawless, and I feel obliged to tell you so."

"All right that was a fantastic use of those two moves! Now lets move onto Peter and his Pidgey!"
Peter jogged out onto the field Pidgey flying out to the middle. The appeal started off with a Feather Dance, brown feathers floated around the arena. Before they could touch the ground though Pidgey started up a Whirlwind causing them to be tossed around in the air. The flying type pokemon finished up the appeal with a Quick Attack into the center of the whirlwind and spread its wings wide.
"Wow those were some strong winds! Now lets welcome our next competitor! Cloe and her Grimer!"
While the Grimer did smell bad it seems like Cloe had done her best to minimize the smell. The sludge pokemon moved its heavy body into the middle of the field. When it was there it used a Sludge attack to make its globby body bigger. Then the poison type pokemon formed a large #1 and using its Harden it froze itself in that pose for a moment before falling back down ending the appeal.
"I never knew that Grimer could be used like clay before! You learn something new everyday! Ok lets move on! We have a lot more contests to get through today! Right now we have Ricky and Geodude!"
The two burst out of the field with a mighty roar. The rock type pokemon floated down onto the field. Using its muscle filled rock arms it grabbed a chunk of the arena and smashed it over its head.
"Ok... that was certainly something else. Now lets move on to our next contestant Mary and her Heracross!"
The large horned bug flew onto the middle of the appeal field its horn shining in the light. Suddenly in the top part of his horn started to glow and an amazing looking Hyper Beam was fired off high into the sky. The bright beam was pretty and very impressive.
"An amazing Hyper Beam appeal from Mary and her Heracross! Now we have Darcy and his Delcatty!"
The two walked out for everyone to see, the cat pokemon's head was held high as it pranced about. They audience waited for the cat to start its appeal, the normal type didn't seem to want to do anything though and just yawned and layed down on the field.
"Ooooooh It doesn't look like this Delcatty wants to do an appeal. Well then lets move on to our next contestant! Jayme and Dart her Charmeleon. Let's see what they do!"
The short haired girl ran out into the arena her Charmeleon at her side. "All right Dart lets do this like we practiced!" Dart just grinned and blew out a bunch of Embers into the sky. As the flames fell down to the ground the fire type started to go into a Dragon Dance the flames adding a sort of exotic affect. The strong pokemon wasn't done yet though, when the final flame fell the Charmeleon let out a loud roar and it started to glow as it finished off with Outrage.
"Wow what an AMAZING appeal! We can tell that this isn't Jayme and Darts first contest! Ok moving on we have Sarah and her Ludicolo named Elite Beat! Lets see what these two can do!"
The moment Sarah and Elite Beat stepped out onto the field a loud music started up. The two came out dancing and looking extremely energetic. Dancing out onto the middle of the field the Ludicolo used a very different version of Astonish and Uproar and Mist. Instead of a bunch of loud sounds a song started to play through the arena, a song that many people recognized as Thriller. The Astonish added on the affect of sparkles coming out to embellish each of Ludicolo's movements to the songs trademark dance. The mist blanketed the bottom of the field just like it should in the video.
"Wow that was an amazing version of Thriller! Ok! Well so far we have had a great contest so far! Now last but not least we have Robin and Luffy her Aipom!"
In the back Robin was nearly shaking she was so nervous. Gulping she looked down at Luffy and he just grinned at her trusting her completely no matter what. Feeling a bit of her unease lift Robin grinned back at him a bit and nodded. With that they both ran out onto the field everything was going great in the first few seconds before Robin tripped and fell on her face right in front of everyone... The audience 'ooh'd'. Robin could feel tears pricking at her eyes as she picked herself up. Sniffling somewhat she forced a smile on her face and lifted her arms up. She wasn't going to let that get the best out of her. "All right Luffy lets go!" The little Aipom looked somewhat worried at first but seeing his trainer get up and was fully ready to go on. He grinned and started his appeal ready to do his best to help make up the points Robin had lost them. Doing his back flip the Swift stars flew up high into the sky forming a bigger version of a star and a happy face. Figuring two shapes was enough he brought them down into a tight ball and threw all his weight into his Brick Break. The ball exploded in a bright sparkling bunch of lights.
"Wow that was a good appeal, however lets hope the trainer didn't ruin there chance to make it to the next round! Ok that was the last contestant lets let the judges decide which of the 16 trainers will make it to the next round!"

Crenu felt a little rise from Riza's sudden retort, what was she mad at him for? And what did she mean 'Power isn't everything', what could be more important than that? The weak get crushed by the strong, it was simple as that and as sure as 2+2 being 4. But he was certain that Snorunt could become strong, that she would become strong. He felt rather strongly about it, but he understood how trainers with different views could get upset over something like that, especially with him not being the nicest guy to his pokemon. It was a fact that he'd shrug off and forget about, but for some reason he didn't want Riza being upset with him. She had already begun to leave when he'd noticed, but Crenu decided to give her some distance for the moment. He packed up his things as well and held out Snorunt's pokeball, but looking at her he clipped it back onto his belt and pointed with his head as he began to walk back. Riza was still somewhat in sight, and Snorunt followed behind her new trainer. "...You know, I blame you for this." Snorunt looked up at her trainer a little confused, but preceded to giggle as causing trouble was something she liked doing. "And you're walking to slow. I already lost sight of he...not that I'm trying to catch up to her or anything..." He looked at the little orange cone shaped pokemon hobbling behind him on her short legs and sighed, turning around and picking her up. She seemed very confused and surprised by this, the scary trainer suddenly lifted her up and placed her on his head, where she got comfortable. Crenu sighed and continued on his path back to town, figuring that Riza would head for the center. His own pokemon were fine, Snorunt was practically good as new thanks to the super potion so she should be alright for a while as well, so he had no reason to go to the center other than to fin her...which he'd never admit to. Snorunt was making his head cold, but he didn't mind it much as they walked, the center coming into view. Not far off there seemed to be a battle going on, and not surprisingly his black and while clad companion was nearby. He slowly made his way over to the scene, but remained silent as he leaned up against his own tree with his attention on the battle. He didn't want to upset her anymore than he apparently had. Snorunt on the other hand was very happy to see the nice raven haired trainer again and started waving her little hands like mad to try and greet her from her perch on the blond guys head.
