Placing her fingers to her lips she thought of how to exlain how she had become blind.
Usually she would snap at whoever asked, but she really didn't mind. She trusted Dinah.
"You see we have a tradition called "The 7 to 1 light" festival, we set up bright light and candles from 7 in the evening to 1 in the morining and slowly watch them burn. The oils are quite nasty and i had got some on my fingers and wiped my eyes, i thought nothing of it till later the next day. Mother was sleeping and i was exhausted so i didn't go out to train. Just aswell, for i my eyes started to cloud over rather quickly though i couldn't see shapes or faces...just blurred colours. I sat so still and waited so patiently, i know stupid but i was young. Anyways Kenneth came looking for me and saw i was sitting stalk still and immedialtely paniced. Well after that i was tolf that my eyesight was degrading very rapidly would most likely end up blind"
((totally made the festival up))

Dinah felt sorry for Siren, even thought the world could be a harsh place it was beautiful, and once begin able to see it and then not, well its wasn't nice...
"this may sound silly but isn't there a way to reverse it? a 'spell' maybe or some form of healing magic?...i suppose you've already tries some of those..."
Dinah nearly smacked herself for saying any of that, she splashed slightly in the water as she moved over towards a rock which she lifted herself onto and sat on, her feet dangling in the water swinging back and forth.

Laughing she smiled and nodded, greatful for care and consideration.
"I;ve trued a few things...though i've never tried spells. For some reason my father told that spells were evil and best to meddel in them. "
Her voice trailed as she thought of being able to see once more, the colour of the sky, the many colours on wings of a butterfly and the beautiful light of the 7 to 1 festival.
"Though i have to admit its tempting...but im ok, i've grown accustomed to it."

Dinah hadn't intended to tell anyone about her powers and how she lacked control, but she trusted Siren enough to let her know that. Dinah smiled and kicked some water not at Siren just kicked some water...She looked around and spotted other people none seemed to be remotely bothered by the presence of the Neko and her friend. Dinah stood up on the rock and shook some of her white blond hair out of her face, she bent her legs in an agile way and in an almost cat like manner dived into the water. she resurfaced moments later and flicked her fringe back out of her face...

"Yeah i agree, i haven't quite got to grips with my fire manipulation either"
Sighing she submereged herself once more into the comforting arms of the hot water, letting all her troubles simply float away. She sat at the bottom for a bit, just simply resting there and blocking out all else, she managed to stay uner for quite a bit. Then suddenly she resurfaced gasping for air and sending streams of water everywhere from the tips of her hair. Giggling she placed raised her hand in apology
"Sorry didn't mean that"

Dinah playfully splashed some water at Siren and laughed...
"Oops didn't mean to splash you..."
the tone in her voice and the occasional giggle showed Dinah was joking...Dinah swam over to a near bye rock and hide behind it, to avoid any retaliation water splash...
"So anything you would like to talk about?..."
Dinah liked talking to Siren it was fun and often informative, the more see seemed to talk to more Dinah trusted Siren. At least she had made one friend since she had been here, and that was quit and accomplishment considering she doesn't trust many people.

Siren gasp jokingly and splashed her back though she knew she had missed cause she heard her swim off and smirked.
"Running for cover eh?."
Giggling she pushed off from the wall and drifted over to the nearby rock and leaned against it.
"How many people you met here sonce your first day?...i know it slame but these things interest me you know"
Shrugging her shoulders she pushed herself up onto the rock and relaxed letting the cool breeze hit against her face.

Dinah swam back no longer hiding for cover..she began to count in her head menataly who she had met...
"Err, I met, Gothica first then some crazy girl who yelled at me then left. Then i met you when you asked for help, at the other girl but i forget her name. I suppose i sort of met the people in the battle but i don't know there names. I think thats about it..."
Dinah smiled and began thinking on something else. She realised she had only met and spoke too one male, two if she coutned saying hello and leaving to someone, well he was ingnoring her...

Siren raised her head and began to think on how she had met aswell and ended up laughing histerically.
"I met most when i was in hospital...hah first was the guy who gave me the wound in my knee. Then it was this girl who helped my wound but then left. The another who carried me to the hospital on a slab of earth. The Yusake, Maru and Kat...then you"
It seemed quite comical really, the only people she had truly spoken too were Yusake and Dinah...well not bad for your first day.
Then Siren remembered she had overheard people talking about some party and decided to mention it.
"Here did you read or hear anything about some party?"

Dinah had met Maru but she didn't know it, it was the person she said high too and the left...
"the boo bash? i saw a poster for it..I'm not a dancing person but i think i will go after all i will get to see more people..."
Dinah laughed, after all the trouble she had been through in her first days here all she was bothered about was meeting more of the nutters that causes the problems! Ironic really. Dinah's only friend here so far is Siren, Sire was also the only person Dinah had properly talked too, she was more hidden with other/new people.

Slinking back into the water Siren thought for a moment. She never really was one parties or being sociable with. In truth in the whole of her life Her brothers were her best friends and always had been. Dinah was the first person she had made friends with that wasn't related to her.
"Hmm i dont think im gonna go...not really it's not my scene"
Slipping further into the water so that it was up to her eyes she sat there, her hair drifting in the water, and the heat rising all around them. She felt the warmth seep into her skin everywhere.

Dinah didnt want to force Siren to go to the dance so she wasn't going to...Dinah swam around for a little bit, before she just sat down in the shallower end of the hot springs, the warm water of the hot springs rushing around her in a calming matter. this place was almost hypnotic with its relaxing and calming ways. Mind you if it wasn't it would be much of a hot spring would it?

Siren sat up slightly and smiled happily. At least she wasn't going to be pushed into anything and if she did go there would be one person who she knew and would be able to talk to.
"Thanks. So you going with anyone then?"
She asked grinning. She knew that the boobash was the oppurtunity for girls to ask the guys. Knowing Siren she would never do that. She didn't have that much confidence and preferred to be by herself most of the time.

Dinah laughed...
"No I'm going alone...I didn't know anybody to ask and its too late now well to get on the official list, i suppose i could still go with someone...I don't mind too much anyway..."
Dinah smiled and stood up before swimming to a deeper area of the hot springs, Dinah liked swimming but she didn't swim often. She dived backwards stretching her 'tummy' muscles and her arms to make an arch shape when doing so. Finally she swam back to siren to talk some more...She found a rock the was under the surface if the water and sat on it. this made the water level from under her chin to about waist height.

Siren chuckled and flicked some water at Dinah as she leant back against the rock and let the water ripple around her.
"Im sure some one would to go with you...unless they are nutters. Then your stuck"
She nodded jokingly and laughed as she rubbed her fingers together and felt that the skin had crinkled up from the heat. Scrunching her nose she patted the water and hosited herself up onto the rock and flicked her feet sending sprays of water at Dinah to catch her attention.
"Heh, im getting all pruney. How about we get out and go back to the dorms to talk or go for a walk somewhere."
((i know really bad posts..but im stuck and i would end up repeating myself))
