My hair's a bit longer now. XD;; A lot of people comment it.
Naturally straight hair. cool And it curls very well. I love my hair, so versatile.
The girl in the red's actually pretty buff. XDD We like to make fun of it and make manly jokes. I'm the skinniest out of them all excluding the preteen with glasses being hugged.
XDDD EWWWW!!! They're my classmates. And I'm not remotely interested in any of them (rather annoyed or freaked out).
And the one lady hugging the girl is my teacher.

Teacher from Viet school. But yeah, just started. That's our leadership class (minus the little girl, that's the red girl's sister to help bake) and we do a lot of activities outside school. >>
And that's not my house, mine's much bigger. XDD I have 2 ovens, thank you very much.
I think I forgot to mention that I'm usually not fond of people with Vietnamese pride or are gangster-y like those guys in my class (most of my friends are either white or white-washed). I don't know what I have against my own culture. >__> I just don't like it minus New Years red envelopes and the food.

'con gots teh mad baking skillz? whee I know how to make burnt brownies XD *is not very good pastry maker* but my apple pie is very awesome, when I'm not lazy and actually put effort into making one xd
OMG 'con I'm not fond of people like that either. I think it's even worse with Filipino kids my age, they're either totally fob and azn pride OR they're all wannabe gangstas; what's up with that? XD I'm partially white-washed, but seriously I find better conversation/relationship with people OTHER than people of my own ethnicity whee

I usually make cake or quiche or something. >__> I don't even like quiche much. Oh! And crepes. and pancakes. And Vietnamese-authentic eggrolls biggrin DD and spring rolls. And claypot fried rice. And other foods. My brother's a really good cook (he leans towards the American cuisine more, though), but he can't bake as well.

I saw this thread in Fashion & Style about Fob fashion (didn't seem very fobbish to me, but maybe I'm just thinking about the immigrant definition).. I had to look up Wiki to get how Fob was used in this context.
I don't understand how it is used to describe Asian American youth that display contemporary East Asian youth cultures, which I have to admit, may be somewhat appealing to me (not from Vietnam, I don't think they have any fashion sense). x__x
XD I'm partially white-washed myself, though I do show interest in a bit of Asian culture (it's from the anime, food, and music- good, but not enough to make me go "OMGG-fangirlscream-<3333" unless it's Miyavi).. but I adore European fashion and culture. <333 And yeah, I like having conversations with a ethnically diverse people, more to learn.

I find it really funny when fobby fobs just start talking in their native language during class or whenever, and they're just total idiots. They talk about other people in class in their language, thinking no one can understand, but white-washed Kai can and I just laugh at them xd if I ever try to speak Tagalog I'd sound so white XD though I'm perfectyl ok with just listening and answering in English whee
Fob fashion? what the heck XD my Asian Culture fix comes from the anime/manga, food, and music too domokun I kinda had a fanboy!moment when KOTOKO was in Toronto for Anime North last year xd redface and European culture <3

I know! XD I'd be walking down the hall and two guys in front of me start spewing rapid Vietnamese. I'd be translating parts to my white friend. XD
I answer in English too, depending on who I'm talking to, though. I swear, they should make sure that everyone knows English- such a hassle to translate documents and to communicate with non-English speaking citizens. And personally, because I hate playing translator (I don't even know enough Vietnamese to translate everything).
XD I was thinking the same. Never heard of Fob fashion.

We define fob as "Fresh Off the Boat." Meaning immigrant. I don't think the general Asian people are that bad. I mean like, sure, they have all these pens with some kinda doll hanging off them and clothing and such, but they're not stuck up. Some of them are and only have Asian friends, speaking in Asian almost 24/7 and even have an accent when speaking English. I hate that. D:
I'm Cantonese and I have these people who constantly speak in Mandarin when they know for a fact that I don't understand them. I'm not close to them so I understand if it's some secret. But they talk about normal everyday stuff in Mandarin too and it pisses me off. 'Cause I can catch a bit of what they're saying sometimes.
