Ai-ni-o, kwen-chah-nah-yo, he answered, slowly moving his arms to hug her. The boy was finally feeling a bit more secure being near her as he shifted in her lap, resting his cheek on her shoulder.

Okay, Mi-sook said lowly, cradling the boy protectively in her arms, giving him kisses on his cheek as she sighed, rocking him back and forth.

But you sighed, he pouted, trying to stop his sniffling. Everytime mommy or daddy sighed, they were always mad at me. Kang closed his eyes tightly as he began to shudder. And-and-and they would... hit me, and I cried. They were so mean, he whispered, his shuddering becoming more violent as his breathing became louder.

ShtrDrNGry That'd be fun! Kimiko giggled, wiggling just slightly in her seat. She liked meeting people, and if the redhead's sister was about her age, then she'd have someone who could potentially be her best friend! And that thought made Kimiko's eyes sparkle. Does she like to read? That'd be even better - Kimiko's family kept quite the library of books!

Mi-sook frowned, shaking her head. Kang, don't be sorry. I'm not mad at you!! I just don't want you thinking about them anymore, I don't want you talking about them anymore. Don't you understand that they were cruel and horrible people? Can't you see why you should forget about them? she asked, tears welling in her eyes.

Kimiko's smile faded just slightly and she frowned softly. Should you head home? she asked, tilting her head slighlty as she looked to the boy. She wanted to ask if she could go with him, but she thought she'd wait a moment longer, and give him the chance to offer her that first, if he was comfortable enough with her for that.

The boy looked past her and out a window. What season is it? he asked, tilting his head, trying to change the subject. He couldn't help that that was all he could bring up. It was, after all, the only way to live. At least, to him it was; under the thumbs of his horrible parents. Kang moved to look at her. What is the date?

Kimiko's eyes brightened again and she blushed softly before nodding happily. I'd love to go with you, she started, clasping her hands in her lap. And lunch sounds good! she purred, blushing as she realized it rather sounded like a date. Does your sister bake a lot?

Aiden smiled happily. "Bake a lot? Only when she's not studying, reading, or bugging me." Finishing off his drink, Aiden stood up and stretched a little then brushed back a strand of red hair. "She's actually pretty good at it. She can't cook worth a flip but that's where I come in."
