"And Mai...?" he said as he snapped his fingers, the exit door opening, "Bring his carcass back to me in fine condition." The man took his seat, snapping up Kilik's file and turning the back of the chair to face her. His eyes faced the opposite wall.

He knew exactly what Pokemon he was going to use. Feeling confident but not stupid, Mike wasn't going to let his natural underestimating of his opponents to let him lose this time. "Gym Leaders first!" He said, stepping back onto the trainer's area of the arena.
Ready set?

"Lets go then." Norman said pulling out a pokeball and tossing it out into the arena. The pokemon that appeared was a Furret, the five foot long pokemon pranced around a bit nibbly running around sometimes making loops of its own body. "Your turn now Mike." Norman said across the arena. He was confident that his Furret would have a few supprises instore for Mike.

Mike gave a confident half smile while reaching for a Pokeball. He pondered for a moment before releasing his more than loopy Pokemon: Beacon. Not having any time to waste, Mike commanded the twirling Ampharos to unleash a Thunder Wave attack. "Make sure he doesn't get to move!" the boy shouted.
Beacon rubbed his flipplers together and shot them straight forward, a small bolt of electricity traveling down the Furret's spine. The attack connected.

The Furret gave a small cry at the fealing of the electricity and the paralisus effect take ahold of him. Norman upon seeing his pokemon paralized smiled slightly, "Furret you know what to do." He shouted out to his pokemon. The Furret nodded and glowed slightly befor charging at Beacon in a powerful Facade attack, due to the parlisus the allready powerful attack's power was doubled. ((I have no idea how the facade attack looks like I just kinda made it up...))

(You got it right. biggrin ))
Mike staggered back a bit as Beacon was hit with the attack. Thankfully Furrets were never known for their muscles so the attack wasn't deadly. "Beacon, blast it with your Thunderbolt, put it out of comission!" The trainer ordered, noting Beacon's health. The oddly cheerful Pokemon waddled forth, and suddenly blasted the Furret with a powerful strike of electrical energy.

(Oh glad I got that right. Did you really think that just one Thunderbolt would kill it? I have had my Furret whipe the floor with all of the Elite Four befor.) Upon getting hit with the Tunderbolt attack the Furret stumbled slightly but didn't fall. "You think just a Thunderwave and an Thunderbolt attack is going to bring my Furret down?" Norman taunted from the other side of the arena. "Furret lets get rid of that Paralisus now. Use Defense Curl and follow that up with Rest." Norman comaned from his part of the arena. The Furret gave a small cry befor curling its long body in on it's self and falling asleep healing all the wounds it had aquired in the battle and ridding itself of paralisus.

((Gah. I really wish Loki could evolve. >_>;; )) "Alright Loki!" Keegan called, raising his hand. "Poison Sting!" he called.
"Come on Mankey!" his trainer retorted. "Focus Energy! Now!"
Mankey struggled within Loki's coils, trying to do just that but between the paralysis and its predicament, it was unable to pull it off. Loki struck with another volley of venemous needles, and Mankey cried out in pain.
"Scratch!" she hollered again, and Mankey flailed its arms wildly, trying to get free.
"Let's end this Loki!" Keegan said, a grin across his face. "Finish it with Sludge Bomb!"
Loki unwrapped itself from Mankey's body, shoving it a few feet away, following it up by coughing up a large wad of toxic sludge onto the normally energetic Mankey, putting it out of the fight.
"Drat," the trainer sighed, recalling him. As she did so, the light from the torch got noticibly brighter, increasing the range of vision. "Each time you beat one of us, you'll be able to see further," she replied. "If you want to get to Brawly, head that way," she pointed, before retreating.
"Thanks," grinned Keegan, recalling Loki. The Ekans had looked quite pleased with itself. "Let's keep moving."

((Of course not, I'm not a lame RPer Melph, I've been at this a while. xD))
Mike frowned at the annoying tactic. "God I hate that move." He tried to come up with a counter as a voice rang out in his head.
You idiot! His Pokemon is asleep for a few turns, use your stat reducers!
For once Milo decided to be helpful, an abnormality Mike wasn't going to question. "Beacon, Growl then Cotton Spore, let's see him Rest that off!" The Ampharos clapped in excitment as it launched some sticky spores and growled cutely, Furret's stats drastically lowering.

((I know your not Mike. That isn't going to stop me from distroying your team though. heart )) Norman stood patiently on the other side of the arena for his Furret to awake. "You think those puny stat reducer's are going to help you?" He said as his pokemon woke up fully recharged. "Furret use that TM I tought you! Brick Break now!" Norman called to his pokemon. The Furret gave a small cry as it charged at Beacon the Cotton Spores hardly slowing the allready speedy pokemon down. When it got close enough it reared back and preformed Brick Break on the Electric pokemon.

((I don't think any of us would object to it Andy...I'm sure you've gained enough levels by now for him to evolve.))
"Yeah! That's the way to do it, Keegan!" Kasiya cheered loudly, clapping her hands together. "Keep that up and you'll have that badge in no time!" she grinned, flinging her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly. "You're really good at battling!"
She could already feel her mood improving, and she felt relieved. "Yeah, let's keep going. You'll give Brawly a run for his money, that's for sure!"

Poor Beacon took the shot straight on, but managed to stumble back into an offensive (as much as he could) stance. "Hey, that's not too nice!" Mike muttered some choice words under his breath as he worked out a battle plan in his mind, brushing the hair out of his eyes. "Thunderbolt!" He commanded, not liking the pain his enemy was dealing to his poor Pokemon.
The Ampharos's normal giddy and lightheaded exterior did not give way whatsoever as he preopped for attack. "Maiden if you please..." He sang in his high squeaky voice as he blasted the now very close Furret with a sharp jolt of electricity. "That will be the matter of which I ask you to take!"

((I just want it said I that I like Ampharos's but like Norman I call them like I see them. 3nodding )) The Furret shook slightly at the attack and stumbled back a bit but shook off the electricity attack. The cute Furret eyed the whale in yellow spandex befor him caustiosly waiting for its masters next comand. In the poketounge it taunted the Ampharos. "Hmph! You think that's just going to take me down? Think again whale boy." She flicked her long tail.
Norman smirked from his part of the arena. "Your going to have to do better then that if you want to beat me. Furret combine your Slam attack and Fury Swipes to show that whale in yellow spandex whose boss here!" Norman comanded. Personally he had nothing against Ampharos but he also called them like he saw them.
The Furret smirked slightly befor launching itself at the Ampharos using it's full body weight in a slam attack as it extended its claws to get ready for the Fury Swipes when it landed.

Ryka and Jaeshan walked out of the small cafe, their stomach's filled. "Mmm, that was great!" Ryka exclaimed, streching her arms up in the air. "So, off to Vermillion?" She asked the boy excitedly, eager to get another badge.

"Thanks," Keegan grinned, feeling his confidence boost a little. "It definitely helps having my own personal cheerleader," he added, putting an arm around her and holding her close. Together they made their way down the corridor, the torch flickering lightly. After taking several wrong turns and back-tracking many times, they seemed to stumble upon the correct path. Keegan was sure of this as another trainer stepped out of the shadows, holding a Pokeball.
"You know the drill," he grinned, and released his Pokemon - a hardy looking Makuhita. It slammed its small fists together, looking quite ready for action, and Keegan was more than happy to oblige.
"Let's go, Althena!" he called, and released his young Psyduck. She appeared before him, holding her head in her hands. "Let's waste no time. Use your Confusion attack!" the fiery trainer called.
Althena gave a nod and a quick "Psy!" as her eyes glowed with an eerie purple light, which soon outlined the body of the Makuhita. She raised him several feet of the ground and tossed him backwards and into the wall. He came crashing down with a loud thud, and looked slightly dazed. "That's the way!" Keegan called encouraginly.
"Fight back with Arm Thrust!" called the other trainer, unphased by the Psyduck's ability to use Psychic attacks. Makuhita got to its feet, and dashed forward, lashing out 4 times with its fists, each landing a blow to the Psyduck.
