I was thinking of leaving that up to the Sou-taicho, whomever it is. But at the same time, I will enforce that Vizards are not to be accepted in Soul Society, and that it is a crime to allow it to happen.

The Classes are to help people with their stats, as well as give them focus. For instance, subclasses get bonus techniques and powers none other do. Like, one subclass of Quincy is Artillery Specialist, meaning they specialize in using other types of ranged weapons instead of the bow for quincy powers. You could have a Quincy with guns :3

And of the semi-common shinigami with "dormant" hollow within?

Or the vizard with the "undefeated" hollow spirit?

Iono. I guess I'm just being bitter at this point, so you can probably disregard that much while I go nap and think about what I say before I write it. Like a doofus. Hur hur, shoe goes on head.

Here's the thing. No shinigami in this guild can have a dormant hollow within them. That's not how we're doing it. And yes, you have to overcome your hollow to defeat it.

Monica's Strange Minded Contribution to the
Topic at Hand

I honestly have no idea about half this stuff. I know what I need to know about Bounts, and that is the gist of my knowledge of Bleach. I have only enjoyed this race of people so for other matters concerning the other races I will not be giving any intel or thoughts for my lack of knowledge; it's only fair.

Classes: Though the D and D aspect of a class system is preeeetty sweet. In fact, I am damn near excited for it. BUT. I am not sure how effective it can be in a guild where people were upset with placing little diamonds in their profiles for stats. There is 23 posts in that forum you are making. And though I have no issue with that what so ever, because I am not afraid of reading whatever the length, I have to wonder what lengths are going into it. If you were going to make it very straight forward and precise and to the point in a few posts, it wouldn't be an issue. Just remember, you have to cater to the fact people naturally don't like to read in great details. That's not being harsh, that's being honest.

Banking System: You know me. I am all for this. But there is a small matter to discuss in that it cannot be in just ONE location, and that is going to make it a bit more difficult. Since certain characters aren't allowed in that one place. And vice versa. PM me about any ideas and we can discuss them over chats if you need more help on this important matter. I can lend any advice I may come up with in the future.

Stat System: Eh. You know my thoughts. I guess I have nothing more to discuss on this matter. I really don't care if you have it, it's not a concern of mine.

If I need to have thoughts on other stuff. Let me know.

..s.k.i.t.t.l.e.s..

I told Lanny to cut the training regimen, so stats would pretty much be awarded for events and ranking up.

Yeah, training is off. Also, Skitz, I only made that many posts cause I need one page per race. And it's taking forever cause I have to make fourteen posts per page.

I don't know. DnD does do a lot to moderate player power, but it would take giving the subforum mods a dm's power to make it work on such a huge guild.

The thing is, though, the thing that makes the dnd system even work is the dice.... and so without the dice it seems that ranks in skills will be fairly arbitrary...which could lend to arguments over exactly how much stronger someone with 7 points is to someone with 6. The stats in that kind of system are useless without the framework in which they operate. In a d20 system that is the dice... here we have yet to specify what the stats represent, and how they apply to all possible circumstances.

Intellegence above a human level requires giving extra knowledge to a character. In a dnd like system this would be accommodated by the dm giving the character information. It would be hard to moderate this as a stat without knowledge checks of some kind. Again, having a framework for the stats to function on is more important then the stats themselves. I know, you gave a guide there, but applying it to the game is going to be very difficult with guide-points like "average teen human intelligence." That makes the character's knowledge based on what the player perceives intellect of a teen human, so someone who hung out with jocks would have a stupider character then someone who hung with nerds. (bad example, but i hope you get my point)

as it stands, stamina and intelligence mean very little. Strength can be used to lift things, but what system are we using to convert that to damage? what happens when a character is carrying too much?

I'm not trying to be difficult, i'm just trying to make sure that things are clearly addressed to the players, as the players will need to have a good enough understanding of this system to work out disputes, and mods will need to know everything about how hypothetical circomestances work...otherwise, delays happen as questions are pumped up the chain of command, then back down. meanwhile the player is off playing skyrim because they are bored waiting for the mods to discuss whether their character can break down a door, and in how many hits.

this is part of why i was anti stat system before. I love dnd, and i love stat systems, but there is a hell of a lot of work to designing one, besides adding diamonds in a row and comparing them to other people.

The stats are a guideline, my friend. This isn't Dungeons and Dragons, nor do I intend it to be. But we have to give a general example of limits, and having a character who is the fastest, smartest, and strongest is a common trait in Bleach guilds. However, with the stat system this is impossible. Perhaps I can have someone assign IQ points to the intelligence, but that won't mean much unless people know what number an IQ range would stand for.

In general there really isn't a way to force people to specific limits. Hence these stats are a guideline, to show where your area of expertise is. If someone with a 4 Strength arm wrestles a 5, the four has a tiny, tiny chance of victory. However, someone with a 3? They would lose, no contest. In this scenerio the players have to decide what they want to happen, and have it accepted between the two of them. Otherwise we make this into a Dungeon and Dragons guild, and no on desires this.

But we need limits. Hence the stats we do have, to enforce to people just what their limits are.

if you say so, sir. You're the captain. I'm just wanting to have a level of understanding.

First off... We need to orchestrate a to-do list. After we figure out needs, divy up the duties and possibly set some dead-lines. That's probably one thing I'd say to get things off. Rough drafts. Possibly environments and the like.

It looks like a pretty decent draft of to do's. I could talk to Vuc about a treasure system, if you've got general ideas of currency, and perhaps draw up a small list possible drop items, too.
As for the encounter system, you'd probably need to be in on that.

My cookin''s pretty bad a**, actually. Just ask Vuc. You should be making them eat Vuc's cooking, if you wanna make an impact. Eating mine will just be more motivation to be lazy. xD
