Natalya 'Talya' Stepanovich Patrovna Unsorted │ First Year │ Eleven Years Old │ Single
Talya was trying as hard as she could to take in all the sights and sounds of her experiences. After hearing about and seeing the pictures of Hesperia that her cousin brought with him to Russia, meeting her, and seeing those fangs was a treat. While she had no compunctions about asking how she injured himself, she felt it rude to ask about the fangs. However, shortly after the train pulled out of the station, she at loose ends, as both Hesperia and Kas were needed elsewhere, as they were Prefects and there was a meeting they were required to attend in the Prefect’s Compartment. Talya had a compartment to herself, a book to read and a large Moscow Watchdog to keep her company, along with her big Russian Blue who was content to curl up on her chest and purr contentedly.
It was already dark when the train pulled into Hogsmeade Station, and Talya needed only to don her cloak and hat to be ready to depart. She slid her school bag over one shoulder and collected Medved’s leash, clipping it to her waist, and Serebro was set upon his usual perch upon her shoulder. As she was about to leave the compartment, Kasamir appeared and he escourted her from the train. When they reached the place where the incoming First Years were to meet before going on, Kasamir took back Medved’s leash, and put Serebro back in his carrier so he could be taken care of by the House Elves, and he reminded her that she had an even chance she would be Sorted into a House where she had a relative, and if she were selected for Slytherin she was to find him and Hes at the Slytherin Table. She was a bit uncomfortable being led towards a forest, having gotten lost in one only a few months ago, however there were other kids roughly her age also being gathered.
The hike through the woods was rather brief, and it wasn’t nearly as scary as the forest behind the Patrovna estate, as it wasn’t nearly so deep nor dense. The hike ended at a pebble-strewn beach where there were several boats, and Talya immediately selected one to board and collected the lantern therein. There was one girl who practically had to be carried into a boat, and Talya offered to keep her company on the journey across the water.
Talya was told there were merfolk and a kraken in the lake, and she was rather curious if they’d see any sign of them or any other denizens of these waters. While she never spotted so much as a fin or a tentacle, seeing the castle all lit up at night made up for it, and fired the neophyte witch’s imagination like nothing else that she’d experienced all day. Traveling across the water, the little First Year was imagining what the rest of her night would entail.
Upon reaching the Great Hall, Talya looked around at the rows of students in their robes, the candles hovering above them, and the magnificent ceiling showing the sea of stars above them. However, when the Sorting ceremony began, there was no torch-lit processions into the forest, no rings of standing stones, nor any blood rites. As she watched it was simply a matter of going to the front of the hall when one’s name was called, and having a hat placed upon one’s head. Granted, it was a talking hat, but that was it; nobody was even called upon to state their lineage, and she was fairly certain at this point nobody would be passing chalices of mulled wine around either.
When her name was finally called, Talya walked purposefully to the front of the Great Hall. When the Sorting Hat was settled upon the bridge of her nose, she directed her thoughts towards the magical construct. ‘I’m guessing you don’t need me to recite my magical parentage, which is probably a good thing. Um, Cousin Kasamir is in Slytherin, and Cousin Alynn is in Gryffindor, but you know that already, right? My older brother, Kusma, is in Punainen, but most importantly, my older sister Raisa is in Keltainen, and I’m very much like her. Wherever I go, I promise to work hard and not bring disgrace upon my Housemates. Wow. So how does this all work?’
Personality:
■ Patient: I know anything worth doing is worth doing right, and taking the time to make it so ■ Dreamer: Oh, I love dreaming about doing things, and how to make things nicer for my friends and my family. Mom tells me that I ‘have my head in the clouds’, and maybe that’s true, but there’s nothing wrong with asking ‘what if?’ ■ Mystical:I've had some very vivid dreams of being in other times and places. Once I had a dream of riding across the Caucuses with a group of other riders, and it felt so real that I wasn't sure afterwards if it was really a dream or actual memory. ■ Loyal: I love my friends and cherish my family, and hope they give me the same in return. ■ Practical: Dreams are cool, but without a way to make them happen, they’re just dreams. Now, if I can just figure out a way to do it, then I’m good to go. I am a planner, and I have the confidence in my plans to carry them out. ■ Will: I’m stronger than I look, not physically maybe, but I won’t yield under pressure. ■ Focused: I’m not afraid to get into a project, and if it means an all-nighter, then so be it. Nothing worth having comes easily ■ Energetic: I can just keep going like a certain overused pink rabbit icon. Dad says I'm vivacious, and some of my friends call me 'exhausting'. If I am doing something I really care about, then look for me to keep at it until its done, or I am.
Likes:
■ Wandering in the forest, collecting flowers ■ Cooking for my friends ■ Nice, long soaks in the tub ■ Soft, pretty clothes ■ Rugelach and my mom’s butterscotch fudge ■ Horses
Dislikes:
■ Crowds and loud people in general ■ Wolves ■ Really spicy food ■ Gossip and drama, it’s all hot air ■ People who lie to me, even if it's to spare my feelings, and empty platitudes ■ Worse, people telling me I can't do something because I'm not old enough, or tall enough or not experienced enough.
Hobbies: ■ Collecting flowers and gardening ■ Drawing and painting ■ Writing ■ Equestrian events, including Dressage, and I've been pushing to do Cross-Country
Strengths: ■ My ability to focus upon a particular project ■ Friends forever ■ Confidence in my own abilities and my ability to plan
Weaknesses:
■ You know that focus I mentioned earlier? Yeah, the downside is it's hard to get me to shift focus ■ I also have issues trying to see things from others’ point of view. I’ll try to understand, but give me time ■ I'm always comparing myself to my older sister, Reina, and trying to measure up to her example. She's my hero, and I look up to her.
Fears:
■ Wolves ■ That I'll never be seen as being able to do and be all the things my sister Reina can and is, and my parents will think they failed in me.

It was time yet again for a new school year to begin. Phoebe was delighted to meet the new group of first years as they all gathered at the boathouse. They were -as always- a mix of emotions. Some were bouncing with excitement, some looked tired from the trip, and some seemed like they wanted to hop back on the train and go right back home. Thankfully, they were all present and accounted for. "Good evening, everyone. My name is Professor Clarke, and I will be leading you all to the Great Hall for the Sorting Ceremony. Don't worry a bit, it will be a lovely time. Then you can eat dinner. I'm sure everyone is hungry after the long train ride. Come along and lets get everyone inside." She turned and led the way up the path, occasionally pointing out the sights as the group made their way inside.
Once in the Antechamber, she turned to them once more. "Alright, just on the other side of this door is our Great Hall. We will begin the sorting ceremony, then you will be placed into your houses. Just so everyone knows where to sit, let me explain them a bit. Wearing green robes will be Slytherin, where students with ambition and cunning will go. In blue is Ravenclaw, where the creative, intelligent minds belong. Wearing red will be Gryffindor, which houses the brave and just. Finally, in yellow, is Hufflepuff. There you will find the dedicated and hardworking kind. They are also my house." She added, a small grin in place. "Now follow me and we will begin."
Pushing open the doors to the Great Hall, a small hush fell over the students there. She led the way down the center aisle, pausing to stop the new first years shortly before the head podium. Walking up, she turned to address the students. "Good evening, everyone! Welcome to Hogwarts... or welcome back, for those returning. We have a wonderful new group of students joining us this year, so won't you all join me in helping to make sure they are each and all welcomed into their new houses. For our first years, we will begin the Sorting Ceremony. Please listen for your name, then join me up front. We'll place the Sorting Hat here upon your head, then it will place you where best you belong.

Caoimhe Shanahan was the second Shanahan sibling at Hogwarts, following her brother Seoirse and she was, by far, the best sibling. She'd been excited since she received her letter in February, waiting for her opportunity to go to Hogwarts. On the train here, she'd talked to anyone and everyone that she could, probably annoying everyone riding in the train cabin with her. The entire walk up to the Great Hall, Caoimhe couldn't keep her excitement hidden anymore and she was practically shaking with excitement. Walking into the Great Hall, Caoimhe gasped and looked up at the ceiling. It was all so cool. She took in the scenes, then she was ready to be sorted. Thankfully, she was nearly first in alphabetical order so she didn't have to wait long for her chance at Sorting. When her name was called, she took her seat on the stool, then looked around the Hall before spotting her brother. She resisted sticking her tongue at him, since they were in front of the whole school.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx xxxxx⇾Independent Ever since a young age, Caoimhe was a do-it-yourself person. She started dressing herself as a toddler, then moved on to handling her homework solo, to doing just about everything herself. xxxxx⇾Unique Caoimhe values being different from everyone else and standing out. That often reflects in her clothing choices, but also appears in her everyday behavior. It's hard to predict what she's into. xxxxx⇾Honest To a brutal extent. She will just blurt out what she perceives to be the truth and that sometimes gets her into trouble. But you can trust her to give good advice because she's not likely to sugar coat anything. xxxxx⇾Impulsive Always looking to do new things, Caoimhe is likely to abandon something if it gets boring. She makes rash decisions and enjoys being unpredicatable. xxxxx⇾Daring She's one to jump into dangerous situations without thinking about the consequences and is likely to be at the front line of anything dangerous. She enjoys the adrenaline rush of putting herself in harm's way. xxxxx⇾Headstrong Her assertive nature makes it hard to realize she might be wrong about something. She's usually convinced that it's her way or the highway and that sometimes makes her seem abrasive.

Celeste had been happy that her brother was with her on the platform, since she was so short, even for someone her age. Unfortunately her brother had had to patrol on the train since he was named Prefect, but Celeste had made some friends on the train who kept her engaged in conversation. Once it came to the platform, Celly had had trouble making her way through the crush of people, but she was able to use her height to maneuver through the crowd. The walk up to the school was quite exciting, since the school was much bigger than Salem the few times that she'd visited there. When they entered the Great Hall, Celeste gasped a lot with a bunch of other students, simply awed by the sights of the large room. When her name was called, Celeste made her way up to the front, then struggled a little to sit on the large stool. Once the Hat was placed on her head, she said, Hello Mister Hat, it's a pleasure to meet you.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx xxxxx⇾Dependable Whether you need advice, or are in a crisis, Celeste is one you can rely on. She's good to talk to when you need someone to lean on. xxxxx⇾Stubborn She can be a bit of brat sometimes if things don't seem to go her way. While being a stick in the mud, she does it in the nicest way possible. xxxxx⇾Relaxed It takes a lot to get her worked up and even once she is, it doesn't take much to calm her down. On that same vein, she also enjoys lounging and chilling anywhere. xxxxx⇾Musical Celeste, like her brother, can learn instruments quickly and enjoys playing for people. While she doesn't want to pursue a career in music, it is a big hobby of hers. xxxxx⇾Nature lover You will more than likely find her outside as long as the weather permits it. She loves gardening, playing outside, or simply lounging beneath a tree. xxxxx⇾Caring She legitimately cares for all beings and has spent time nursing injured animals back to health. If someone's in need, you can bet she'll be there to help.

Since the arrival of his Hogwarts letter, Owain had been excited to go to Hogwarts and study his mother's favorite subject, Alchemy. He already knew he'd have to wait until third year to take the class, but he had several books on alchemy already and he planned to dive into his study sooner, rather than later. His dream was to build a Frankenstein's monster type creature, like the ones in his favorite movies. His dad had ensured him that was not something he would be capable to do, but with his dedication to his father's science and his mother's alchemy, he was certain he could do it. The train ride was spent reading a book on his favorite subject while snacking on his father's homemade trail mix. On the walk into school, Owain was upset because he'd had to leave his book in his backpack, which was then brought up to the school. He wanted Sorting to be over with as quickly as possible so they could go to bed, then they could start classes the very next day. Classes are what he was most excited for! When his name was called, Owain took his seat on the stool and accepted the Sorting Hat being placed onto his head.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx xxxxx⇾Intelligent Owain is very smart and often remembers every fact or detail told to him. He is very good at solving problems and enjoys both maths and science. xxxxx⇾Curious Always looking to discover new and interesting things, he always takes time to investigate everything. This can often lead to him wandering off whenever he spots something interesting. xxxxx⇾Talkative He's definitely a chatterbox and can ramble on about anything for a long period of time. He's also one to start up conversation wherever he goes. If you want an infodump, you can engage him in conversation. xxxxx⇾Reliable When you need someone to help with something, you can depend on Owain. He will make sure that a task is completed and done correctly. xxxxx⇾Secretive There are some elements of his life and his ambitions that he isn't willing to share. Owain has a tall ambition that he doesn't really plan to share with anyone because it might hamper his ability to complete it. xxxxx⇾Helpful Owain is willing to go out of his way to help his friends and will routinely push aside his own needs and wants to help. He's someone you can trust to give advice or just an extra set of hands.

☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚ Andromeda was still a bit worried about being at school. Sure, her mother dearest had gone here, but ever since she was born, Andie hadn't ever spent time away from home. She didn't go to muggle school, instead being taught at home. It was a fun childhood, but now it left her with quite a bit of anxiety about being away. What if her mum missed her? And what if she missed home? But as she rode on the train, Andie tried to make friends, though she worried she was too nervous around them. She never really had experience talking to people in her own age bracket, and she wasn't really sure what other eleven-year-olds were supposed to talk about. Thankfully she brought her well worn book of star charts to read on the journey.
Once they'd made it to the busy platform, Andie wished they'd had a quieter place to land. Her senses were in overdrive, partially thanks to the nearly full moon in the sky. Her deep blue eyes twinkled in the starlight as she subtly put in a blood lollie. Her mum had made sure to pack about a zillion of them for the semester. Then the first years were called to the lake, where she climbed on a boat with a few others. She spent the ride looking up at the stars overhead. She almost didn't notice when they'd docked until the others politely asked her to climb ashore.
She followed the rest of the group, a pleasant smile on her face. Of course, as she'd practiced, the smile was with closed lips. Her mum quite worried about people getting worried over her being a half-vampire, especially because there was recently a mess about half-vampires being hurt all over Europe. Thankfully, mum said the man causing problems had been caught! Walking into the Great Hall, she looked around, before noticing the ceiling. Somehow, she could see the heavens above! It was that that captured her attention until she'd heard her name being called out.
Walking up to the front, Andromeda looked at the professor for a moment, then she sat on the little stool there. The hat sat over her head, pushing her glasses down her nose a bit. She gasped softly when the hat seemed to speak to her. Maybe she should talk back? 'Hello, Mister Hat. Mum said I should ask you to put me somewhere I can see the stars. I would really love to be up high.' She bit her lip, letting her eyes closed as she waited to find out how the Hat would favor her request. ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚ ☽

xxxxx⇾Wʜɪᴍsɪᴄᴀʟ Andie is rooted in whimsy and daydreams. She often has her head in the clouds and she prefers it that way. It also translates into a rather eclectic fashion sense. Her personality seems less than serious, even when she is trying to be rather clear.
xxxxx⇾Fʀɪᴇɴᴅʟʏ Andromeda loves meeting new people. It’s all part of learning more about the world, and perhaps a bit more special because she grew up rather sheltered and kept safe from the outside world.
xxxxx⇾Dᴇᴄᴇᴘᴛɪᴠᴇʟʏ Iɴᴛᴇʟʟɪɢᴇɴᴛ Despite her dreamy, whimsical appearance, Andromeda is incredibly smart. She spent much of her childhood reading and learning about whatever subjects she could find. She doesn’t have a lot of “street smarts”, but her book smarts are far higher than average.
xxxxx⇾Gʀᴀᴄᴇғᴜʟ Andie never really has been a clumsy person. Even when she’s halfway in a daydream, her feet seem to guide her true. She very seldom trips, even when she isn’t really paying much attention.
xxxxx⇾Tʀᴜsᴛɪɴɢ Everyone is a friend, and no one is an enemy. Andromeda quite loves everyone, and has trouble discerning good people from bad. She thinks everyone has a heart of gold and only the best of intentions.
xxxxx⇾Mᴜsɪᴄᴀʟ Andromeda spent many nights playing music in the darkened sunroom at home. Her mother taught her to play, and she’s spent time dedicated to it ever since.

Leo was incredibly excited. Not only had they moved countries, they also got to switch to Hogwarts. It sounded way cooler than Durmstrang. Anne really, really hated it there. Besides, Hogwarts was a freaking castle! Not to mention, it'd be a fresh start here for all of them. He wouldn't be going in as "Anne and Matt's little brother", he'd be Leo, the cool kid. Also he'd be Nicko's twin, but he was probably going to be that forever. But that morning, they'd gotten dressed in their new uniforms, went to a train station, then.... rode a train to school. It was a little less cool than he'd hoped, but hey.
Of course, the school tried to make it cooler by having them all ride boats across a huge, empty lake. Nicko panicked, but Leo clutched his twin tight, distracting him with a wild, high-fantasy story about what he was seeing. Nicko had his eyes closed and he kept himself tucked close. Thankfully, the ride wasn't too long and the twins were able to clamber out of the boat and onto shore. They walked in perfect step together to the school, looking around the grounds and the castle. Finally, they were led to the huge dining area, where they had to await their turn. Thankfully, it was based on last name, so they'd be able to go together... with him being first!
'Hey there, hat! I'd really like to be with my twin, since we've been together forever. Also somewhere cool to explore would be nice! We love doing that stuff!'
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx
xxxxx⇾Mɪsᴄʜɪᴇᴠᴏᴜs Leo has always been one who is excited to cause shenanigans. He loves setting up elaborate pranks and trying to make sure everyone has a fun time. After all, what’s the point of fun if only a few people are having any?
xxxxx⇾Sᴀssʏ Leo is always ready with a sassy quip or smart-alec retort. He employs sarcasm like a second language and is always ready to verbally spar. He’s gotten really good at tailoring his sass to specific situations over the years as well.
xxxxx⇾Aᴛʜʟᴇᴛɪᴄ Leo struggles to sit still. He’s always got a ton of extra energy and usually needs outlets to run it off... including running it off. He loves team sports where he can coordinate with others or playing solo where he can feel like the star. Either option works well for him!
xxxxx⇾Cᴏɴғɪᴅᴇɴᴛ Whenever things get rough, Leo’s sure-footed confidence will lead him through. He never lets his fears get him down, and he will always fight to the bitter end.
xxxxx⇾Cʀᴇᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ Even though Leo’s usual method of expressing creativity involves pranks and jokes, he has some really unique ways of showcasing his creativity. He’s also secretly good at drawing, though he usually won’t tell anyone about that part.
xxxxx⇾Sᴄᴀᴛᴛᴇʀʙʀᴀɪɴᴇᴅ Despite being pretty intelligent, it’s not hard to make Leo lose track of tasks. He often walks into rooms and forgets why he went there, or even forgets times and dates. Thankfully, his twin boasts a far better memory.

Nicko was both excited and a little disappointed today. While he was interested in Hogwarts School, he was less happy that the whole family had been uprooted. Besides, he had planned his entire life around an education at Durmstrang. He'd read all of Anne's old textbooks and tried to make sure he was well prepared. But now they were in the UK, away from the home they'd grown up in. The only positive was that they weren't alone. Anne and Matt were still both in school, so he'd have several people to turn to.
The morning of their first day, Nicko was working on finishing up notes out of his Defensive magics textbook, still trying to write while eating breakfast. But the book and notes were packed away as the family went to a busy train platform. Hogwarts certainly had some odd customs, though he also figured that they might think Durmstrang's customs were strange. He spent the train ride mostly discussing adventure plans with his twin and siblings, even though he was itching to study more from the textbooks. After they landed at the platform, the twins were forced to break away from the older siblings, since they had to take carriages. But the first years.... had to take a boat.
Nicko was clung tightly with his twin, trying to keep himself calm as they moved over the water. They should really pick a less horrible way to travel! Thankfully, it wasn't a terribly long trip. Once on the other side, the group walked into the castle proper. The boys whispered quietly about interesting things to notice, before they made it into the Great Hall. The Deputy Headmistress spoke about the school and the sorting, before beginning to call them all up. As they waited patiently through the alphabet, Leo mentioned wanting to be in the same house. Surely he would tell the Sorting Hat the very same thing when he made it to the front. But then, Nicko was called up to the front. He glanced over at his older siblings, then over toward his twin before the hat sank over his eyes.
'I'm sure that Leo just asked you to put us in the same house... but I must offer my request as well. I want to be somewhere that I can shine as Nicko, not as Leo's twin. I want somewhere that I can make certain to stand on my own feet and prove to everyone that I'm not just here to clean up my twin's messes.'

xxxxx⇾Lᴏɢɪᴄᴀʟ Nicko has always been the “brains” of the twins. He always thinks things out and plans for every eventuality. His logical thinking is often deferred to helping his twin plan out pranks with the least number of injuries... or detentions.
xxxxx⇾Aᴍʙɪᴛɪᴏᴜs Nicko wants to be better than the best. He has his whole life planned out and has every intention to exceed every step. He will do everything required to boost himself to the top, even if it means late nights and early mornings.
xxxxx⇾Sᴛᴜᴅɪᴏᴜs Nicko really loves learning through reading and writing, more so than through exploring his surroundings. He tends to learn through books far easier than hands-on, but perhaps it’s more to do with his love of reading.
xxxxx⇾Hʏᴘᴇʀ-Fᴏᴄᴜsᴇᴅ Once Nicko is working on something, it is really difficult to get him off topic. He usually hones out any distractions, working tirelessly until the task is done. The downside is that if he is distracted, it takes a lot to get him back on the task.
xxxxx⇾Rᴇʟᴀxᴇᴅ Unlike his twin, Nicko prefers to chill. While his brother is wild and easily excitable, Nicko would much rather read or do puzzles quietly in the house. Sure, he likes wandering and adventuring, but even then, he’ll go at a slow pace and look at everything nature can offer.
xxxxx⇾Uɴᴅᴇʀsᴛᴀɴᴅɪɴɢ Even when people worry about trouble, Nicko is quick to accept flaws and try to help people. He will always opt for cooperation and compromise, rather than trying to be right. He figures there’s much more to being kind than to being the winner.
Lylah was fairly certain her hands had never been so sweaty in her life. Yet her throat was all dry. Lylah wasn't usually the kind to get caught up in nerves, but since they had started their journey to London, then to Scotland, that morning, her stomach had been twisted up in knots. She was admittedly glad sorting would be happening soon because that hopefully meant she could go to bed soon. It had been a long day, and she was ready to sleep. She did have to admit, the castle was amazing. Since the moment she laid eyes on it, sitting above the dark lake, she was in awe. It was crazy to think that she'd be going to school here for the next seven years. Hogwarts was quite prestigious as well, so there was that.
Lylah flexed her hand several times as she and the rest of the first years made their way into the school and through the halls. The group came to the antechamber, where Professor Clarke took a moment to more fully explain the houses and what would be happening in the Great Hall. They then moved into the Great Hall. Lylah couldn't help but let out a little gasp as she saw the room in front of her. Candles twinkled above them in what looked like the night sky. This was really happening. She was here. In just a few moments, Professor Clarke began calling names and having people come up to the little stool to be sorted. As Lylah waited, she scanned the crowds of students, picking out the few faces she recognized, and then, she heard her name. She jumped ever so slightly at the sound, but quickly came to her senses and moved up to the stool.
Lylah sat down and snapped her eyes shut as the hat came down on her head. It was certainly fascinating getting to wear a mind-reading sentient hat. This was more than a little different than Salem. "Uh, go for it," she thought, not exactly sure what she was supposed to tell a hat.
CURIOUSLylah wants to know everything about how the world works. She's consistently trying to learn new things and loves to go down rabbit-holes of new information. She can never know enough and isn't afraid to ask any question that comes to her mind. FRIENDLYLylah tries her best to be inclusive to everyone she comes across. She wants everyone to feel comfortable when they are around her. She's empathetic and tries her best to relate to others and is a great listener. She can always be counted on. ORIGINALLylah isn't afraid to be who she is. She tends to think out of the box and come up with her own ideas. She's open to new experiences and just being herself. PERCEPTIVELylah tends to notice things other people don't. She's very aware of the world around her and tends to notice small details about other people. If someone tells her something about themselves, she'll remember it. She can usually read people pretty well and is especially aware of others' body language. PERFECTIONISTLylah hates messing up. She holds herself to a specific standard and tends to get annoyed when she doesn't meet that. She's pretty good at hiding it, but it can lead to too much stress sometimes. IMAGINATIVELylah is often lost in thoughts, creating new worlds and scenarios. She's been told she "has her head in the clouds," but that doesn't bother her. A person can't improve the world or themselves if they aren't thinking of new ways to do it. Nothing is ever solved with stagnation.

Newt seemed way too happy for what they were all doing. He practically skipped where they were going and even dipped his hand in the water as they were in the boats. They waited a bit before entering the great hall. He liked the cool ceiling. He was brought back to reality when someone bumped into him. He was very forgiving; it was easy to get lost in the excitement. As he waited he swayed side to side and once they got to the Vs and his name he skipped and sat on the stool slightly bouncing as he sat wondering which would his house
SILLY Newt likes doing weird stuff to get people to smile. Weird or eccentric clothes, Jokes really anything to bring joy SMART He learns very quickly. School was never too difficult. He enjoyed learning new things. FOOLHARDY Newt is one to do things his own way, he may realize something is a bad idea but that won't necessarily stop him. LOYAL Newt will be the best friend anyone could ask for. He's willing to take the heat and start fights id needed but also be there for emotional support ESCCENTRIC Newt is often seen as unusual or quirky, but not necessarily in a negative way. He's just a little oddball CREATIVE Newt is an artist who always got some sticker-covered sketchbook on him full of doodles and drawings. Sometimes just his imagination and sometimes things he can see.
Sure magic was explained but it still was all so much and overwhelming. Though it became exciting once they actually got to the castle! They were still too nervous to chat with classmates but there would be time for that. Once they entered the great hall they were mesmerized by the sky ceiling and floating candles. They didn't watch where they were going and bumped the kid in front of them. After apologizing the kid was very forgiving. They had a bit to wait as they were going alphabetically last name. The kid in front also had a late alphabet name. When it was their turn they walked up to the stool and sat. Thankful they had opted for pants cause they didn't want to show their undies. “Hopefully I will get put somewhere without too many idiots….” Lynx thought to themselves.
SHORT TEMPERED Lynx will go 0 to 100 in seconds flat if something bothers them enough. They are not one to stand down even when it's the smart thing to do. PROTECTIVE Lynx will protect those they call family or friends to the death ASSERTIVE lynx typically say what they want when they want. They listen to No often unless the punishment isn't worth it EMPATHETIC Lynx is attuned to other emotions and will try to make someone who's sad happy again. Or piss off a bully more so a punch is more justified. FEARLESS very few things are scary to Lynx. They weren't even scared of the dark as a small toddler. This can also lead to some bad decisions LOUD quietness is a foreign term for Lynx. Usually by accident. Their volume is naturally high and they have to actively try to be quiet

In the spring, we made a boat Out of feathers, out of bones We set fire to our homes Walking barefoot in the snow Distant rhythm of the drum As we drifted towards the storm
☸ڿڰۣ Jonah had to admit, the castle visuals-interior and exterior-was pretty much worth the ridiculously long train ride just getting to it. He didn't count the boat ride since that had honestly been a bit fun; he'd even gotten to hold the lantern! Afned all the unfamiliar faces looking for his brother and found him at a far right table wearing his Slytherin robes. He brought his eyes back forward to avoid accidentally making eye contact, not wanting to deal with whatever may come from that. After their parents had dropped them off at the platform, Rian had informed him that he had two options: he could sit with him and his friends but he wouldn't be able to make a sound or he could find his own carriage and not look for him the entire ride. He had wisely chosen the second option and wondered briefly if this counted as looking for him. He truly didn't want to know.
Luckily for him, his name was rather early in the alphabet so all too soon, Jonah was called to the stool for his sorting. He gave the professor a nervous smile before he hopped onto the stool and was only given a brief moment to fix his skewed glasses before he was plunged into darkness as a hat was placed onto his head. "Uhm...hi? I know you're probably very busy so I'll be happy wherever you think-or say?-I should go." he mentally said to the apparently cognizant hat.

◊ FORGIVINGJonah has never truly understood holding a grudge or staying angry or upset with a person or people after a certain amount of time. It just took way too much energy rather than just forgiving the person and moving on. ◊ RELATIONALJonah could be described as a "people person," always doing and acting his best around other people. He enjoys collaborating with others on any given thing and is grateful for others to bounce his numerous ideas off of. ◊ FARSIGHTEDThe fut ure always comes is a principle he lives by so he tries to prepare for it best he can. He hates being being caught off guard, especially by something simple he could've fixed beforehand, and can occasionally overprepare to the stress of himself and others. ◊ OBEDIENTJonah has been raised to follow any order or object with limited or no question or complaint and for the most part, does so without even thinking. He's learned that sometimes it can be a matter of safety and privacy and other times, just a means to finish a difficult task (or be done with a difficult person). ◊ COMPLACENTIt's not hard for him to admit that he's gotten pretty comfortable with his place in life and he recognizes the privileges that his family has afforded him. He doesn't see a point in rocking the boat unless it was completely necessary and unavoidable. ◊ ALLOCENTRICJonah doesn't really mean to do it, but he will sometimes omit certain things or explanations with certain people if he thinks it will make them more comfortable. Not so much a chameleon; he doesn't change who he is or how he presents himself, he just chooses what parts of himself he thinks would work at that time.

The Professor set the hat down carefully on the student's head. For a moment the hat was silent before speaking.... Brave in the face of danger, Honest almost to a fault, With a touch of impulsivity, You'll do best in... GRYFFINDOR!

The Professor set the hat down carefully on the student's head. For a moment the hat was silent before speaking.... Greetings, and the pleasure's all mine. Friend to all, and a nature lover to boot, I think you'll find this choice to be best, Move to the rhythm of your own beat in... HUFFLEPUFF!
