The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... A frown flickered over Raevyn's face at Ashriel's answer. He wanted to question her more but she was shutting him out. And with Lucian talking at him, he couldn't focus enough to say much to her. He sighed and answered the other cat quietly. "Yesterday, I was sitting in the park with Ashriel. She got upset and her.....aura, I suppose would be the best word, aura started glowing, becoming visible. Not exactly a normal occurrence for humans." He had no idea what it would mean for Ashriel, or him for that matter, but it was weird nonetheless. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian rose his eyebrows at this fact, thinking for a moment. He said only one thing which his tone implied didn't need to be answered. "Not a normal occurrence for any species known to me." He whispered, leaning back in his chair to think about this. The siblings fell silent between Lucian's befuddlement and Jennalin's shear...debating with herself. A crash came from the kitchen, and Ashriel walked out, going to get the broom. She took it back to the kitchen silently, without saying a word. If someone were to look, they would discover that she'd dropped a plate - presumably while she had been drying it, taking the fact that it was mostly dry and a towel was placed haphazardly on the counter.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn left the siblings to their musings. He had more important things to worry about - Such as Ashriel hurting herself. He rose and padded to the kitchen, taking the broom from her. "Here. I'll to that." He murmured to her. "You go sit down. Unless you want to tell me what's wrong?" He asked quietly. He wanted to know why Ashriel had shut him out so suddenly and so thoroughly. He swept up the broken glass as he waited for an answer. Though he wanted to know, he left it up to Ashriel as to whether or not she wanted to answer. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel shook her head, doing neither thing he told her. Instead, she moved back over to the sink and continued cleaning the pans from the eggs and bacon. How could she explain it to him? No, she couldn't. It was something that was best left...untouched. Yeah. Untouched. As she finished cleaning the pans, she set to drying them, not knowing anything to say to Raevyn.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn swept up the broken dish and put it in the garbage. It was clear Ashriel wasn't going to answer him. He sighed and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. He nuzzled her neck. "If you won't tell me what's wrong, will you at least tell me if you'll be okay?" He asked quietly. "I hate it when you're upset. I want to make it better." He admitted to her in a whisper. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel sighed quietly, nodding. "I'm sure I'll be okay - I just have some things I need to think about." She said softly, looking back at him.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn nodded slightly. "Alright then." He nuzzled her neck again. "I'm always here if you need to talk." He told her before letting go and backing off. He was getting the impression that she wanted to be left alone to think. So he returned to the living room, glancing at Jennalin and Lucian. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment before she followed Raevyn into the living room, leaning against the wall. "Actually, I have a single question that I think both Jen and I need answered." She said, looking at Jennalin.
Lucian looked at Ashriel curiously. "And what is it?" He asked, glancing to his sister for a moment.
"What is the standing of fairies among Were's?" She asked, and Jen nodded. If Raevyn thought about it for a bit, he might figure out what was bothering Ashriel now.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Hearing Ashriel's question, Raevyn had to wonder if she was referring to his 'nasty critters' comment earlier. "As far as I know, the two groups keep to themselves." He answered her honestly. "Fairies are known to play pranks and stuff but they do that to everyone equally, not just Were's." He'd ended up on the wrong side of a few of their pranks before, which is what had prompted his earlier comment. But he didn't think the pranks had been set specifically for him. Raevyn glanced at Lucian, to see what he had to say about it. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian nodded quietly. "Yeah - fairies know about Were's and Were's know about fairies. Otherwise, they really don't end up messing with each other although I've heard of some mating." He commented, musing to himself now. This meant he was probably out of his trouble for defending his sister - after all, there were repercussions for Were's messing with fairies. Huh. Convenient. And it also meant that Jen was probably no longer in danger.
Ashriel sighed, nodding. "Okay. That's...all I needed to know." After her question was answered, she set off into the bedroom, her mind open again.
Jennalin watched Ashriel walk off, making an 'o' with her mouth. She knew what had probably prompted her question - and also that the answer was one that she'd been expecting to hear.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn watched Ashriel walk away, his gaze thoughtful. "Any particular reason for the question?" He asked her silently. He wanted to know if it was his earlier comment or if it was something else. He left it up to Ashriel to answer verbally or mentally now that she knew the trick. He simply hovered at the edge of her mind, waiting. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel sighed. "Yes." She answered, glad she didn't have to answer aloud. And that he didn't need to come in there. She locked the bedroom door shut, laying down on the bed. Jennalin was a fairy - meaning the guys wouldn't get in trouble for her knowing. But if Ashriel knew - both males were still in danger. It was her fault.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn waited for a moment but when it became clear she wasn't going to continue, he prompted her. "And the reason is?" He asked gently. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel stared at the ceiling, holding back a tear. Maybe she would just...go away. That would fix it, right? "I wanted to know if fairies were allowed to know about Were's." If this didn't make it clear to Raevyn as to why she was upset, she doubted anything would. If he didn't understand it now, he was an idiot.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Things suddenly clicked into place for Raevyn. He was dense sometimes but he wasn't an idiot. He sighed and rose to his feet. "I'll be back." He murmured to Lucian and Jennalin. He tried to enter the bedroom only to find the door locked. He growled in frustration. "Ashriel, open the door." He called out softly. If she didn't open the door, he would do it himself. Unlocking doors was one thing he could do with his telekinesis. The tiger that should be....isn't....
