"Leave her alone Zeng Hen!" Kusargi yelled. "It's my fault she's here!" She felt her left arm lose feeling, but she didn't care at the time. "Or are you gonna pick on an innocent kid?"

Zeng Hen rolled his eyes. "Innocent or otherwise, you're both still human. Why should I care about either of you?" he said scowling.

"Cause it's the humans that keep the demons in check and your existence depends on us. Your son seems to under-" Kusargi stopped talking and bit her lip. Did Zeng Hen know about Kuroi? She kept her mouth quiet as her entire left arm went completely numb.
Great; I've lost an arm. How can I fight this guy?

Harmony shuddered the closer Karait got. Though she made no vocal sound to go with it---she was clearly good at not making a peep or had forgotten how or quite possibly both. It was clear that she was afraid of what Zeng's minion would try to make her do as the images in her memories replayed in her mind, and each step closer Karait came to her, the more vivid the memory became..

@Princess1e12I had an idea for a plot to bring Melody more into the story but your PM's are disabled and so is adding you as a friend to be able to pm you.. n.n;; Just an idea that i'd like to throw at you for more plot for Melody..What if Harmony wasn't completely human---perhaps half human.. and she was somehow related to Melody, like a younger half sister or something.. but neither knows of each other but Melody's companion knows of Harmony--though doesn't know that Harmony is a host.. n.n;;just an idea that I thought i'd share with you and see what you think.. It could help get Melody more involved.. n.n;;

Kusargi snarled at him; she always had a problem with authority.
"Hmm, nah. I like talking; it annoys creatures like you." What she didn't realize was the moisture coming from her mouth was freezing and stopping the snake slowly. She had no idea she had that kind of power.
Icia couldn't wait anymore; she materialized behind Kusargi and melded in with her again, like they were supposed to be.
Just stay calm and we'll get out of this, she thought to her corporeal body.

"Why you little-" he was cut short when he sensed a sudden change in mana level from Kusargi. Fearing another uprising from her he turned to Karait. "Change targets and fire!" he ordered quickly.
With that, the snake hoisted itself up in the air and shot a concentrated ball of dark energy at Kusargi.

Uh Icia, now what? she asked as the ball came towards her.
Surrender youself to me. I'll take care of this. Right before the mana ball hit, Icia shut Kusargi down and took over her body. She broke the bonds and dodged the ball.
"Hello Zeng Hen. Long time no see. Enjoying abusing my human?" She smiled then put her hand up. "I'm not sure what a safe message is here. Pirates use parlay, so I'll use that. Parlay."

Zeng Hen glared at Kusargi. "You damned spirits just never give up, do you? As for safety you might as well die here and return to the realm of spirits where you belong." As he said that he raised his hand and several balls of energy scattered towards her.
Karait, seeing as this was about to get dangerous, disappeared.

"Eh, I knew it was a long shot to get you to listen to me. What if I said I know where your son is?" She saw the balls come towards her and used a different style of fighting, taking the positive energy out of the mana blasts and instead letting the blasts go through her unnoticed. "I know Kuroi and where he is. But I won't tell unless you let my human and the Thunder One go."

"Hmph, you really think I'm that ignorant?....Guards!" as he called them his group of soldiers came rushing in. "Let's show our....guests a new feature of the prison that one of their friends helped build, hm?" With that, the guards pointed their short spears at the two with one hand and readied a blast of mana with the other. Zeng Hen then rose from his throne and opened a large metal door. "If you'd please, come this way."

As you wish, Icia said letting go. She floated away, hoping Zeng Hen would take it easier on a plain human.

Sugar followed behind Kai, keeping surprisingly silent. This place gave her the freights! When Kuroi returned with armor, Sugar seemed to not fit in the armor at all--the armor was twice her size.. She could barely wear it let alone walk in it.. "Eh..." She said quietly..

Kuroi noticed Sugar was having problems. "Oh right, I forgot to tell you, the armor does have some tricks to it. Such as this." he placed his hand on Sugar's armor and it shrunk to fit her. "We make our armor as well as weapons with a special metal infused with mana. It's pretty much magic equipment."
Upon arriving at a wall, made of a strange material. Zeng Hen placed his hand on the wall, and a doorway appeared. "This....wall if one of our best features. Using magi-technology, it only opens upon recognizing my specific mana signature. Please feel free to look inside." he said, stepping out of the way.
