Before Ambrose even said anything, the answer was written on the dodgy expression on his face.
All truth be told, the pain of the transformation was probably the most physically painful experience in the sheltered man's life. But how could he say that?
So he dodged the question. "I heard that the Dude got morphine or something before his first change from the clinic..." But that was an answer in and of itself. "I know you don't want to take medicine from them.... but if it can make it easier for you..."

Angelina frowned. To her that was silent way of saying yes. "Morphine?" She shuddered again. She looked carefully at her nails and sighed dramatically. "I just wish I could get it over with/"

He nodded. She could think on it if she wanted. And... if he had to, when she started to change, he could run and get help.
"I... I know the waiting is hard. I never knew in advance of the first change... and I wasn't expecting the second change when it happened either." He hugged her, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I... well... I wish I could help you not think about it... I'll be happy to keep bringing food, keeping the movies playing... or anything else you'd like me to do." He said with a soft, sincere smile.

Ambrose nodded, snuggling up next to her and grabbed something from the tray to munch on.
"I'm sorry." He whispered again, laying his head on her shoulder and pulling the comforter around them, doing his best to make her comfy.
Ambrose watched the movie with her that he had seen with her many times before... in a very different world.

Colche cried for a long moment, expecting it to startm, the horrible pain, the remembered pain, when suddenly theer was just a weight. her blue eyes opened,. ever so slowly, they rested upon the unconcious body which was squishing her. She gasped, her heart racing as she wriggled out from under him, dropping on the floor with a rather unhappy thud. She looked back up, expecting at any moment for him to grab her again, but he was gone, dead to the world.
Looking aropund in a frantic manner, she edged towards the door on ehr bottom, slowly creaping for her escape, everything else was forgotten as she dove to ehr foot paws and raced out the door, tears falling down her furry cheeks, she wanted somone, anyone to help her. She didn't even know which way she was running, but she ran only for a short time, the fright of the experience had exhausted her and she soon fell to her knees in the dust of the villiage her whole fram trembling."nono" she whispered in a chocked voice "not never"

Avery had just been on his way to the cafeteria for a late night snack when he saw someone crouched down on the ground. As he walked closer to the girl he was able to see her more clearly, recognizing her as the cheetah girl he had seen transform in the jungle. "Hey, Colche!" he greeted cheerfully.
But his smile faded when he noticed that she was crying - sobbing, and he quickly went to her side, kneeling down beside her. "Colche..? Are you alright?" Avery asked, worry clear on his face. Was she transforming again?

Chubbs shuffeled towards the cafeteria. He had awoken with a giant appetite and was looking to kill it with a feast of food. He was still trying to get use to his feet, the claws on them were huge. His body buzzed from the painkillers he swallowed, they did help him greatly.
He looked up and saw a glint of something fast take off past the duplexes, a familiar smell in the air. He couldn't quite make it out. Heading towards the cafeteria, he kept an eye out for anything. It wasn't until he got inside the building that he noticed it. It took him a minute though, he was busy looking at the menu, then hearing a sniff, he turned to look Colche, and someone by her side, a girl, ummm no wait a guy? Chubbs just blinked for a moment, taking in Colche for a moment, had it been that long? He slowly made his way over, one, because he wasn't sure how his appearance would go down with the pair of them, two he was somewhat worried he would be intruding.

Colche's big blue eyes fled in a panik to Avery, her mind was muddled, wa avery a girl or a boy? She couldn't remember, she panted, stareing goggle eyed at the man, she wasn't exactly sure what had happened, she had certainly escaped from the experience with only a fright, but it was a fright none the less. her tongue lolled out as she looked at the blond haired man, barely even noticing Chubbs approach she was so focused on one person.
"not good" she whispered her voice sounded strained and frightened, she trembled her body shivering as if she were freezing yet she was hot to touch, she was obviously aggitated and really didn't know what to do about it.

Avery glanced up when he heard someone else approach them - if he had not seen other islanders before, he would have fled in fear. He was still startled at the other man's appearance, but he wasn't afraid. Right now, he was more concerned with Colche. He nodded at the other person in a brief greeting before looking at Colche again.
"Hey... it's okay... whatever happened, it'll be okay," Avery said gently to her. He started to reach out to her, but he stopped, worried about frightening her. Instead, he just held his arms out for her. Better to let her make the choice. "Do you want a hug? You're safe here..."

Chubbs could smell a hint of the smell in the air, it overided thescents of food, he knew just what the smeel was too and he wished he never knew the smell of fear. Chubbs drew a little closer, staying about two metres back and looked between the pair of them. Chubbs quickly thought about the situation and how animals that appear tall can look threatening. So with some pain he lowered himself to the floor.
" I err... what happened? do ya know?"
Chubbs wanted to try to help, he kind of needed it, it helped him function. On closer expection, the new person looked like a guy, just well, pretty. Based on the reaction, Chubbs figured he'd gotten a hold of the news from someone about the changes.

colche's tail twitched in a nervous manner, for a moment she was still, was Avery a boyu or a girl? She couldn't remember her nose twitched, she couldn't smell anything it was like the world had vanished in to a single minded tube. She almost fell in to Averys arms sobnbing quietly, her big wet tears dampening his lap "badbad..never not..never no not" she mumbled between broken breathless sobs. Her arms and body were a bit sore and no doubt what little skin she had left would be bruised when she got up in the morning. For now though, she was just glad somone was here. Aubrey would have beenbetter, or ambrose maybe..somone she had known for longer, but Avery, yes avery had helped her when she transformed. he was a good, nice person. She still trembled though obviously lost for words now as she tried to cast away the horrible experience.

Avery hugged Colche gently when she fell into his arms, and he rubbed her back, trying to calm her.
He looked up at the other man and shook his head. "No, I don't know what happened... I was just going to get a snack and I found her this way. I'm Avery, by the way," he said.
He continued to hold Colche in his arms, and he looked back down at her. "It's okay Colche, no one is bad here..." He wasn't used to dealing with this kind of situation, he didn't know if he should push her into telling him what had happened, or if he should just comfort her for now and find out what happened later. "I promise, okay?"
