Orient frowns a bit, remembering a little bit of old family lore. He knew that something was weird about Uriel but... no. Gaining powers from the gods was a legend... wasn't it?

He finally gets a clear shot, and another beam of dark magical power, only visible to magical eyes, shoots out, obliterating the things eye... causing a really awful sounding screech to be emitted by the beast and an awful lot of wildly flailing tentacles.

Orient just prays that the tentacles don't hit his ship... too hard. He winces as one of the tentacles brings down the mast that was holding the crow's nest.

Uriel wraps his other arm around Orient to make sure the pirate doesn't get knocked loose by the tentacles. The Kraken backs away though. It's not going to stick around after losing one of it's eyes. It disappears back into the the depths that it came from.
Once it's gone, Uriel goes back to climbing the side of the ship, and bringing Orient along with him.

Orient has replaced his sword and once they get to the top, he surveys the damage. "Glad we found that treasure." he says. "Looks like we're headed back to Sangleds Island. No honest folk would mend a pirate's ship..."

Uriel's just glad that only one person saw him do anything supernatural... and that nobody saw them climb back over the side. He wants to ask Orient not to say anything... but the pirate's not even acknowledging what happened.

Orient sighs sadly, seeing his ship. At least none of the sides got broken, so it won't sink. "Back to bed all o' ye!" he calls. "An' sleep in too. I need to think." then he goes down to his room.

The boy doesn't follow though. After that battle, no one will question his bruises, so he doesn't need to hide in Orient's room anymore, so he goes back to his hammock.

Orient finds his room very lonely, and very empty. He'd been hoping Uriel would come down, at least to bounce ideas off of. And then there's the fact that he'd almost... DIED! and he really wanted someone to hold.

Uriel dries himself off from the water, and changes clothes. He was cold from falling in the sea, and worried about the fact that Orient has to know something about his powers... seeing as he can climb up a slick ship side with no hand holds, and somehow destroy the eye of a kraken from quite a distance with nothing but his hand.

Orient had known there was something about Uriel, but since he'd heard the family legend about his great great grandfather, he's not afraid. He might be, if he knew what kind of power it was that Uriel weilded.

And either way they're still no where near each other, and the ship heads towards pirate island. and i have no idea how long that takes.

I dunno either... you choose. XD
Orient feels the absence of Uriel more than he'd like to admit. His bed is cold, empty, and he feels as if Uriel is avoiding him. The only thing he is happy about is knowing that while on the island, he'll get a new tattoo.

Uriel *is* avoiding him, because most people aren't cool with finding out their whore has magic powers. If it weren't a pirate island they were stopping at, he'd probably leave the ship. He isn't sleeping with any of the men though.
And I've decided the island is close. so there

They get to the island in the evening three days after the kraken attack and Orient is the first onshore. Although he has other things on his mind, he makes arrangements for the ship's repair, and then wanders onto the streets, looking to hook himself a man for the night. Uriel hasn't even glanced at him since the attack, and Orient is getting very lonely.
