Unknown Variable Nami: Not saying your computer isn't decent. Just that it could probably stand to be a little better to meet today's requirements for many programs. Graphic intensive games wouldn't run if you had an incompatible computer, so it wouldn't really crash it. If you have a game that requires 768 MB of RAM and you only have 256 MB, it'll either not even install, or just not run at all. Well...I can run Sims 2 without a hitch or a hiccup. I'd give you my computer specs, but I have no idea where to find them. I bought this computer in May. It's not old enough to not meet "today's requirements." sweatdrop

SF: Looks good. :3 Good luck with that.~
Nami: At the rate computers are being developed, I'd seriously say that computers are pretty much in need of an upgrade after three months or so. I can run Sims 2 without hitch or hiccup as well, but if I go into my graphics specs in-game, they're all set to very low quality. Moving them higher seriously strains my computer to the point of lag so very bad. More RAM would fix that, as my video card is able to handle Sims 2 fine.
Basic computer specs can be found by right clicking on the My Computer icon on the desktop and clicking on Properties. There you'll find your processor information and the amount of RAM installed. To find your hard drive capacity, double click on My Computer, right click on Local Disk, and click on Properties. Then look at the capacity for it. 3nodding

@Alex- But smacking the PS2 seems to fix it :'D (seriously though, don't smack your Ps2, it breaks as easy as it is)
Well, I cleared the index.dat file and got around 900 MB back, so I have around 4 MB back again(after removing some other programs I don't use too). Now to clean out more of this piece of junk *pats computer*
@SF- It's so cute 4laugh I think it looks really nice :3
@Cardi- I cheat ALL the time in Sims. I wanted to make my roleplay characters family, so before I actually upgraded to Unleashed, I used a program and changed all their jobs to the highest xd (not that I don't use rosebud anyway) I play for the amusment in them, not really the challenge. That's what Busting Out is for on my PS2. I still haven't found a good cat girl skin yet >>' But yes, I use the rejuvenator all the time(Infact I don't know how I managed to run that crazy family without it before). I even have a pet rejuvenator xD
Does anyone know if there are any cat girl skins for the Sims 2? I don't want to buy it until after I get all my computer upgraded, and I would love to download any now if there are some around x3

Konami Shojou I have the graphics set to high, I believe. surprised I'd have to check. Yeah, do check. Because on my computer, the graphics do indeed look high quality, but it's still set on low, and the quality could look even better. Konami Shojou 1.83 GHz. 512 MB of RAM. 233 GB. surprised Yay! I don't know if that's bad or good! @_@ Yeah, my computer is a year old, and it's got better specifications than yours. I have an Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.2GHz, with 768 MB of RAM. So while your computer is decent, and able, it could be much better compared to the demands of up and coming technology. Of course, money's always an issue. I'd love to upgrade my computer more, but I'm broke. x_x

I don't want to buy it until after I get all my computer upgraded, and I would love to download any now if there are some around x3 xd i haven't found that program that gives you the top job. that sounds mighty useful. my sims always have to scrap to get the top job. i believe only one of my sims ever became mad scientist. that pet rejuvenator sounds really nifty, too xd i miss playing sims now, with their pets. but i don't miss having stray pets coming into lots and messing up things xd in sims 2, though, the only cheat i've used is motherlode, so my sims don't have to worry about money. they do have to scrap for promotions xd i started playing bustin' out, but i was sorely disappointed when my sim baby grew up to be a clown toddler, complete with the make-up and hair gonk that's what i get for marrying a gorgeous townie: he's actually a closet clown gonk edit: on the topic of computer specs, i'm completely hopeless (maybe alex can somehow take a peek in my computer and find out xd ). i just run sims 2 with the lowest graphic quality. but i don't need to turn off my anti-virus and stuff when i play 3nodding

@Cardi- My kid was REALLY ugly in the Sims Busting out gonk I'm just glad I can change how it looks after it's born, unlike the Sims 1 where I had to use programs(which might I add, still might not allow me to use the skin I wanted) to change their looks D:
She came out sort of like a clown too D:
edit: Oh, and the program only worked up to living large @_@ Thus why I used it before I upgraded to Unleashed *nods*

Eclipsed: Yeah um... Your computer is uh... Really outdated. >.>;
Cardi: I could look into your computer if you use the "Remote Assistance" that Windows XP offers. Unless you don't have WinXP. Then I can't look.~

@Alex- I know xd It's an old computer(like...6 years?) It's better than my boyfriend's computer, which is all that matters to me. His computer is just awful, I don't even think his old computer(I gave him one a year ago, the one before that I mean) was even a Pentium I o_o'
