The Bellsprout swayed for a moment before attacking again with Vine Whip. The attack was fairly weak, compared to the others, though. Sentret got back up slowly, nonetheless.
"Alright, Sentret! One more attack should do! Scratch!" Kurine commanded. Sentret ran at the Bellsprout and swiped at it, leaving more scratch marks on it's stem and leaves. "Be-e-e-ll!" The Bellsprout cried before falling over, fainted. "Yay! We beat it, Sentret! We beat it!" Kurine said happily, jumping up and down with glee.
Sentret paused and looked at her. A small smile was hinted on his face as Kurine returened him to his pokeball. Since she didn't know where Miharu had gone, Kurine decided to go to the pokemon center and heal up her pokemon real quick.

Ky thought about this for a second and sighed. "True. I did feel better when my dad said not to worry. But it's 'remembering what she gave' that's been bothering me. And honestly, how can I not worry about a tidal wave?" Ky said, a little irritated. While taking a few more bites of his sandwich, Ky couldn't help but mind wander. "My sister, she's so... different now. Was that really her?" Ky asked himself softly. It really hurt to think about her, to the point that he was losing his appetite. "Hey guys, it's on me," Ky called as he threw his remaining sandwich out to Sting and Little Guy. Sting was all for it, gobbling it up in mere seconds, but Little Guy only stared as he always did, which brought a smile to Ky's face. "I wonder if Little Guy plans to give me any more of these 'dreams.' I think he's more of a riddle than my family," Ky said with a smirk.

"He is a Psychic Pokemon," M.A. said, looking over at the quiet Natu. She'd heard about Hypnosis and how it could set people and Pokemon alike to sleep -- what about penetrating that sleep and setting a dream into it? Too much thinking, though; she was still too spaced out to deeply ponder and start making philosophies about this and that. There was only the what-to-do-now factor, really. "Hey, maybe we can visit your sister. Do you know where she is?" the girl suggested next after a moment's worth of thought and the end of her sandwich. Wouldn't that clear some things up, after all? What if his sister hadn't really changed in real life? Maybe there wasn't anything to worry about. . . Although the notion that Little Guy might've actually started Ky's dream gave it some gravity, some authenticity -- the Natu wouldn't have brought on something nonsensical, right? "Or maybe you could call her, if we can't find her and she's not at home."
At this pace, they were probably forgetting Bugsy and his gym (or at the very least M.A. sure had) with the current situation at hand. Oh well, Daemyn thought with a slight slump that was his version of a shrug. He wasn't eager to remind them of it, or to go back and have to fix things. C'mon now, it was only a little tree and some. . . okay, a lot of water, the dog thought before turning to the small bowl in front of him. Of course, in his opinion he never found himself at terrible fault.

Mike held his tongue as Nina presented her half-apology. He knew her well enough that she still felt angry, and with a pretty good reason. Team Rocket was a bad group, but from what he heard from Kilik, he only asked for Giovanni's help to protect Nina. Talk about miscommunication. He rolled his eyes, wondering if those two would ever advance in their relationship to listen to each other, rather then one or both of them jumping to conclusions. It wasn't really his business, but he felt it a shame seeing two nice kids smashing up against walls of immaturity that prevented them from an otherwise, nice friendship.
"Well, I was just in the mood for some training, so I called up Kilik and found out he was heading here for the same reason." Mike cracked his knuckles, still a bit edgy on the news of Anna's capture. Wait. "One second." The boy narrowed his eyes in confusion, holding up a finger. "Why in the hell are we wasting time with casual conversation while your Pokemon is held captive? Let's get to work!" His fists lit up with green flames, which quickly sputtered out as the boy darted outside, preparing battle strategies in his head as the automatic doors of the Gym closed behind him.

Kilik ran his fingers through his hair as he listened to Mike's words then jumped back when the gloves on his hands ignited. As Mike bolted out the door, Kilik looked back at Nina and opened his mouth to say something when footsteps began to echo on the Gym's floor. He wheeled around to see Giovanni headed their way from the door beneath his balcony (the very door Beacon had entered).
"Your friend is quite right," he whispered, his hands behind his back, "This has become a race against time and what might be the only chance we have to hit him hard enough to....end him." Giovanni directed his attention at Nina from the corner of his eye, then looked at the front door where Mike had blazed through just a moment ago. He dropped his hands to his sides then looked over his shoulder at the two behind him. "I've got a helicopter set to go wherever you feel Maorde may be."
Words escaped Kilik's mouth that he'd never thought would come out again.
"Thank you, Giovanni, sir."

Nina felt a brief feeling of her guts wrenching about when Kilik thanked the man. Being too proud to ever thank that man, she instead skipped instantly to the point. "Mind telling me where the helicopter is? After all, I would just love to be inside of a large, loud machine to draw my father to me. It'd just be awesome!" She giggled like Whitney and idiotically flicked her hair, before a sarcastic smile washed onto her face.
"I can manage with a Pokemon of mine that I've raised and I trust, as opposed to that helicopter. And what makes you think that flying around aimlessly will draw him to us? After all, he seems to be able to find me just fine without any aid from something like that."
She turned and walked out the door without another word.

Mike's head was buzzing with situations that he could face in his next encounter with the seemingly immortal killer. While he had never met this 'Maorde' in person, he figured he knew what to expect: Some crotchety old b*****d with a taste for blood. No problem. His main problem wasn't the man himself. If he was as old as they said he was, then he wasn't even worried at all. If all he had to do was pummel some rickety old fart, then this would be a cake walk. But that wasn't the whole matter. His Pokemon must be monstrously strong. s**t. Mike thought to himself. He was a tough trainer and he knew it. Nut even he, as headstrong and stubborn as he was, knew his limitations. The boy looked up, dark clouds began to roll forth, providing a delightful bit of a foreboding atmosphere. "Lovely." Remarked the boy as a bit of wind played with his already shaggy mess of hair.
He heard the doors behind him whizzed with activity: Nina. He tilted his head to the side, a serious expression on his face. "What's the game plan?" Mike tucked his hands into his jacket, taking a long hard look at the sky. It's going to rain soon. He thought, his rather tall figure standing strong for whatever the future would bring..

"Well," the girl replied, "apparently Giovanni has prepped a helicopter for us if we wanted to go look for my father. But... heh. I think that'd be too noisy. I mean, Maorde seems to be drawn to me well enough without aid of me being in some obnoxiously loud flying machine. I mean, jeez, he was able to find me twice earlier tonight when I was with Raimundo and Whitney! I'm surprised he's not here in Viridian already!"
Whoa.
Wait.
Back up.
"If he wanted... I think he'd be able to find me right this instant. So, why isn't he standing before me, taunting and teasing and threatening me?"
Oh god. s**t, s**t! What if it never was about Nina herself? "Mike, hold on. I need to call the both of them to make sure that everything's okay." Taking out her Pokenav and inputting Whitney's number, she pressed the Talk button, eliciting a ring coming from the other line. Please pick up, Whitney! Please, let me know you two are okay!"
Nina could have been standing there for hours, listening to the ringing, as that's what it felt like to her, her terror beginning to get the better of her. She did find relief when a semi-groggy voice gurgled a "Hallo?" into the receiver.
"Whitney! Thank god you're alright-- what're you doing? And where are you?" "Well, we were trying to get some sleep in Lavaridge's Pokemon Center." "But, you two are safe, right?" "Well, all things considered, I suppose you could say that." Raimundo said something in the background, but Nina couldn't decipher what. "Listen. I found it odd that much of the time I was with the both of you was when Maorde seemed to show up. That got me to thinking that it could have been one of you that he was after. Listen. I'm in Viridian City, so I want the both of you to Fly over here as fast as you possibly can." "Nina. You are the absolute biggest pain in my a--" "Love you too, bye now."
She hung up.

Mike raised an eyebrow at Nina's jumpy realization. If it were anyone else, the boy would have been nervous or scared, but seeing as it was his blue haired friend, who seemed blessed with the power to create drama and conflict at sheer mental whim, he felt less inclined to buckle at the knees. "So, they headin' over?" He asked, crossing his arms. "Where were they staying? Will it take long for 'em to get here?" Mike waited for a response, and went back into his mind, hoping they his seemingly random planning would help in some way.

"While Whitney seems to seriously disapprove," Nina said, stifling back a little giggle, "yeah. They're gonna head right on over, and knowing them, it shouldn't take long for them to get here. As far as where they were staying, though? Whit said they were sleeping in the Pokemon Center over in Lavaridge. That was a good place for them to stay at, considering it's fairly secluded."
She put her hands on her hips, kind of shaking her head a little. "I can't wait for this chaos to end."

Mike's eye twitched. That might have been the worst place for them to stay! "Heh, Lavaridge eh?" The boy chuckled, hiding his true anger quite well. "Let's hope they get here soon, because if you were right with Maorde looking for them instead of you, then that'll be one hell of a bit a' motivation for them to get moving."
Mike's worry then turned to Flannery. What if Maorde had actually found them, and somehow she got involved. If anything happened to her because of that old monster, he...he wouldn't know if he'd be able to restrain himself.

Kilik had discussed a few things with Giovanni, mostly apologizing for Nina's sudden snap at the man, then headed outside alone. He approached Mike and stood next to him, slipping his hands into his pockets. "Giovanni says that since this is Nina's deal, we should just follow what she wants to do. He's decided to keep the helicopter at the base in case we need to escape suddenly." He looked over at Mike then at Nina.
"So what'd I miss?" he asked.

"Trust me, they'll be here soon. Once the two of them get motivated, they'll be here in no time flat." Noticing Mike's eye twitching, Nina wondered just what was fluttering through his mind at that moment. The safety of Flannery was likely the first thing he thought of, as she was the prime figurehead in Lavaridge. Everything will be okay though, she thought. Just... get the group together, get everyone in one place, we'll be more than enough of a threat for Maorde. It doesn't matter how powerful he is, because he won't be able to stand up to our forces.
The girl was snapped out of her thoughts as she heard three consecutive squawks from a bird to the northeast. She didn't need to look to know that it was Rio.
Instead, she looked over to Kilik. "Not much. I called Whitney and told her and Raimundo to head on over here, and after some convincing, I was able to persuade them to do so." Nina looked up, nodding at the bird that was 'flying' through the air. "And here they are now."

The Geodude got up and floated a few inches away from the rock, staring at Oddish. The wild rock pokemon seemed to be surrounded by a tannish-brown colored ball for a moment, raising it's defense. Train paused for a moment, trying to remember what attack's an Oddish would know. She thought of one, and decided to try it. "Oddish, Acid!" She called, hoping the little grass pokemon would be able to.
Which she could. Oddish sprayed the wild Geodude with a purple, gooey acid, which poisoned the rock pokemon. Oddish swayed back and forth for a moment purposly, wondering what the Geodude might do next.

Kurine walked out of the pokecenter not too long after she had gone in. Her pokemon were fully healed, and now she was ready for some more training! But...she'd head over to Violet, too. Why not train and actually get somewhere, right? She decided to keep her pokemon in their pokeballs for now, too. Thought, she'd have to let them out a little later for some excercise. It must not be fun to be cooped up in a pokeball all day, and only be let out to be fed or battle. Kurine would have to be sure to play with them a lot.
