This would be a new place to Kishin as he walked through the halls of the ninja academy . It seemed that he was able to find the gate he was looking for into another world . But before he would or even could explore this vast world he would have to learn their way of battle . With eyes of determination Kishin walked through the halls until he reached what seemed to be a training ground . " This must be it then ." He stated as he started to look around at the other shinobi who were training to become certified . Kishin had a mission to do and couldn't waste time . Resting his palm on the tips of his sword's Hilt Kishin put on a smile as he noticed a man in a green vest approached him . " Hello and welcome to the ninja academy , I'll be your instructor for today's lessons . " The instructor stated with a friendly smile . " Alright then lets get this show on the road , what am i going to learn first ." Kishin questioned as He raised a eyebrow at his Instructor. " Ah , i do like the eager ones indeed i do . The first thing that you will learn is the Henge no jutsu . " Kishin would look at the instructor as if he had no head he had not heard such a name for a skill before . " The Henge no jutsu ? " Kishin would question as he stood there and waited for a reply . " Yes the henge no jutsu gives the user the ability to change your appearance . From the looks of it you dont have any basic ninja training . " The instructor stated as he looked at his student . " I would say you are correct instructor ." Kishin said in a plain voice as he waited for his Instructor to continue his explanation on the Henge no jutsu . " What you need to do first learn the hand signs needed to preform the jutsu , a sort of activation method so to speak . " The instructor explained as Started to slowly string the hand signs together so that Kishin could catch it . " Alright Kishin now you try ." Kishin would nod at his instructors orders And started to form the hand signs . At first it seemed that he wasn't getting the formations right but after awhile his hand signs were perfectly formed and he started to form them at a quicker pace . " Good job now that you got the hand signs down im going to explain how chakra works . Chakra is a combination of physical and spiritual energy . With chakra we are able to use special ninja arts such as ninjutsu and genjutsu .Creating chakra is a natural thing that every ones body does . What your goig to have to work on is how you channel it and the how much to use . Now watch as i preform the henge no jutsu . " The instructor explained as he quickly flashed through the hand signs needed to preform the henge no jutsu . Soon a large cloud of smoke would erupt at the instructor's feet causing his figure to be engulfed in the smoke . Kishin would cover his eyes when this happened with his right arm only to lower it a few moments later . Once the smoke had settled Kishin would looked wide eyed at his instructor as he looked exactly like Kishin . Kishin had never in his life seen a skill such as the one that laid before his eyes . With a grin Kishin would then begin to form the hand signs needed to preform the henge no jutsu . Once he finished the last seal He started to flow his chakra to his hands as a cloud of smoke rose from the ground covering Kishin in a shroud of clouds . Once the smoke settled Kishin too had quickly mastered the Henge no jutsu as he stood before his Instructor as looking exactly like him in every way . " These are some unique abilities . " Kishin complimented to his instructor . " They only get better from her Kishin . " The instructor exclaimed with a smile . " Now that you got the basics down we can move onto the harder stuff . Next jutsu that you will be learning is the Bushin no jutsu . The bushin no jutsu is a great jutsu that allows you to create a clone of yourself to confuse your enemies . But some enemies my have special abilities to see through this jutsu , but never the less is is a usefull skill to have . " The instructor explained as he slowly started to go through all the hand signs that were needed to preform the bunshin no jutsu . He would then flow his chakra through out his body and watched as three clouds of smoke arose around him and three copies of himself appeared . " See this is the Bushin no jutsu , now Kishin you try . " The instructor commanded Kishin as Kishin nodded and begun to string through the hand signs needed for the jutsu . Once that was complete he would begin to flow his own chakra through out his body and watched as two clouds of smoke appeared beside him . Both of the clones looked exactly like Kishin in every way and he was proud of it . It seemed that Kishin even though he was not from this realm had the ability to adapt quick and transfer all his determination and desire for strength into a new form of training . " Great job Kishin your a quick learner ." the instructor complimented before going on to explain the next training . " The final jutsu that you will be learning is the substitution jutsu . This jutsu if preformed right allows you to replace yourself with another object before receiving a attack from a enemy. Now watch closely as i preform this jutsu . " The instructor would then grow silent as he started to form hand signs once he was complete he reached into his pouch and took out a kunai and whipped it into the air. The Kuani would sore high into the air only to come down quickly over the instructor's head . Kishin would watch as the Kunai dropped closer and closer toward his instructors head . But once it reached his head a cloud of smoke would arise and a log seemed to have been placed to take the blow . Appearing behind Kishin the instructor would then begin to speak . " And that is the substitution skill , Kishin now it's your turn. " He explained as Kishin turned around to face his Instructor . Kishin would nod and from the hand signs needed for jutsu . He then started to flow his chakra as the instructor threw a massive punch to Kishin's stomach . Kishin would bend forward as the blow impacted but it would be short lived as he too exploded into a cloud of smoke and log appeared and was forced back . " I think i got it , now . " Kishin explained as he sat in the tops of a near by tree . " Yes you have Kishin and now i have other students to attend to you have completed your training . What village are your from again ? " His instructor would question as he wished to hand Kishin a forehead protector . " Im from kilika ." Kishin explained to his instructor even though he knew it was no use since his village was not of this realm . " Well it's not everyday that we have a person from spira come train with us so i guess ill give you a blank one ." The instructor stated with a smile as he pulled out a scroll and started to form hand signs . Soon the scroll opened and the instructor pulled out a blank forehead protector it looked the same as all the others but had no insignia stating his village. At this time Kishin made his way back over to his instructor so that he could be rewarded his forehead protector . " Thank you Instructor . " Kishin stated with a small smile . " No need to thank me you earned it Kishin . " [ 1317 words ]

 Honehime fed a few more twigs into the just-birthed flame. It was still small, barely increasing in size as it spread from singed piece of grass to twig, but it seemed strong enough to not be blown out too easily. Like Shuku, she too looked deep into the flickering flames. Flame-reading was another form of looking for visions, and as such, was something she had practiced during her travels. The precise dancing of flames, the number of visible tongues, and countless other facts all combined to create a working series of portents that would guide the visionary to their desired sight. It didn't always work, the fire was a fickle window through which to scry. Water was usually more stable, more easily seen through a filter to be granted visions. She was snapped out of her reverie when Mei offered a large piece of wood. She accepted it quietly, before thanking the cowgirl. It would work just fine. She did a double-take when Mei said that she had made it. She hadn't realized the cowgirl was a wood shaper, that was a pretty rare bloodline ability. In fact, if she remembered correctly, the only family to have that skill had lived in Hidden Leaf, and the last member had died some time ago. Interesting. (5238 words + 217 words = 5455 words) Now that the deed had been done, sound returned to the forest around them. Slowly, haltingly, at first just the chirps from a few crickets, but gradually the myriad of quiet sounds that so often went unnoticed returned to their normal levels. With that, the air of remorse that had befallen the young Akasun was lifted. She got to her feet, before orienting herself towards their camp. She nodded when Sakazuki asked if she knew the location of it. "Yes I do. Zat is where my sis-, where my puppet is, I would not forget where she is." With that, she set off, leading the way back to their camp, moving around trees or particularly thorny bushes or briars. It wouldn't take too long for them to return, hopefully they hadn't kept the others waiting for too long. She didn't look for more edibles, with the falling light, it'd be a chancy prospect at best. (6143 words + 156 words = 6299 words) "Um, yes?" Mei smiled again, not realizing if she'd messed up or something. She hadn't thought using her alchemy like that would have garnered that sort of attention, back in her home village, Hidden Alchemy, things like that were somewhat common place. Not enough to be seen constantly, but enough that when someone saw it, they'd know what had happened. But maybe here, away from home, alchemy wasn't quite so well-known? She probably should have figured that out, of course other places would do things differently, that's why they were other places and not the same place! She looked back and forth between Honehime and Shuku, feeling self-conscious suddenly. Rather funny, she could grab a strange girl to milk her, and nearly swallow someone's head with her cleavage, without barely batting an eye, but just having people stare at her made her nervous? Perhaps that wasn't just her being naive, but something more practical? Hard to say, without asking her point-blank. And considering her dimensions, that particular topic, being stared at, would probably have a completely different meaning to another person. 2357 words + 185 words = 2542 words)

"You seem awfully attached to that doll," Sakazuki said slowly, evidently trying to make some sort of conversation between them as they walked. Even if silence had it's place to her, in the oncoming darkness, the Circe would've preferred the audible company of words rather than the chaotic symphony of many unsynchronized crickets. "...But then again, you probably made it yourself when you were a kid, right?" She added, staying only several steps behind the puppeteer, following her path around any harmful obstacles.
=======
Shuku stared at Mei for several moments. Was the girl nervous by the sudden attention? Believing this, the Mayonaka redirected her gaze towards the fire, watching as the feeble flames licked at the air, yet with ever passing seconds, the fire seemed to grow slowly. "How exactly did you make it?" She asked softly, beginning to add some of the larger twigs over time before she turned to look back at the cowgirl once more.
"Some sort of ninjutsu?"

 Honehime looked at the piece of wood that the cowgirl Mei had crafted. It looked as natural as if she had picked it up off the ground, save one detail. There was no sign of a break or fracture. Any branch this size, when taken away from the tree it had been attached to, there would generally be sign of a split, or a fracture, some sign of where it had been affixed to the main body. But this, it had nothing. It looked like nothing so much as a single flawless piece of wood, grown whole and without imperfection. Such a thing would not normally occur in nature, so it had to be crafted in some manner. But how? She was fairly sure that Mei was not related to the wood shaping bloodline from Konoha. Instead, it had to be another method. But what other methods were there? Elemental techniques? Possible, but unlikely. Many of the techniques which could do such a thing would be beyond the skill level of the novice student Mei appeared to be. And what would be the point for anyone of higher rank to appear amongst the riffraff like this? Not to mention, Mei just didn't seem to have the mental faculties to be a higher rank. (5455 words + 213 words = 5668 words) Lieselotte half-turned her head to send a sharp glance at Sakazuki, but in the dim light it was likely the Circe never noticed it. She didn't lash out verbally, the air of somberness that had passed between them was still keeping her civil. "Yes, I did make her when I was younger. Zose were better times. But she is far more zan a mere doll, she is my sister." Lieselotte didn't expect the other girl to understand. Even this long after it had happened, she scarcely understood it herself. Of course, that problem was only made worse by her inability to recall just what happened that fateful day... Her entire family, save her, had been killed. Her sister, Elfriede, had somehow remained in the world, entering her puppet to remain with her. So as far as she was concerned, her puppet actually was her sister. And that was all that mattered. She'd never told much of that story to anyone, she considered it to personal to speak of lightly. But perhaps now was the time, perhaps Sakazuki would listen? (6299 words + 180 words = 6479 words) Mei felt relieved when Shuku and Honehime stopped staring at her, and her embarrassment slowly went away, allowing her to return to her earnest, and rather ditzy, self. She smiled, almost reflexively, but shook her head when Shuku guessed it was Ninjutsu. How to explain it? Alchemy was a rather difficult subject, there was still so much about it she didn't understand. She was a mere beginner, how could she explain it? Her eyes lowered for a moment before she willed herself to be cheerful again. Maybe she couldn't do a good job explaining, but she'd try! "Well, I don't think it's Ninjutsu, although I suppose it's probably closer to that than anything. It draws upon scientific... stuff, so that the people who use the technique, they're called alchemists, can transform one item or material, into another. It involves drawing or marking a specific circle upon or near the object you want to change. Like this." With that, she crouched down once more, picking up a small stone that was coincidentally located nearby. Using one of it's rounded edges, she drew a simple outline in the dirt. It was of a circle inside of a circle, with a pair of overlapping triangles within that. Once she was done, she set the stone in the center of the array, and touched the edge. Like before, a light flared up, and the rock began glowing, before it seemed to shrink in upon itself, shrinking down to less than a quarter of it's original size. With that, the light faded, and she picked up the new rock. The fire was now producing enough light to make a difference, and it twinkled upon the rough facets of the piece of quartz she held in her outstretched hand. Most rock wasn't very different from quartz and other silica based crystals, it all had to do with the arrangement of the various elements and how they were combined. The array had streamlined the rock, compacting it into a smaller, more dense form. She held the quartz out to Shuku, to let the Mayonaka take a closer look at it, to make sure it was real. "Your sister?"
The tone was a mix of surprise and curiousity as the Circe stopped in her tracks to stare at the girl in front of her. In the darkness, her brow was raised, slightly confused, yet the topic seemed mildly familiar to her in some sense. "Possession?" In witch archives, the term was not unheard off and was fairly redundant in myth legend, often exploited as a cheap way to bring someone back to life in some incomplete term. Whether this was the case or not, the scenario had evidently peaked Sakazuki's interest.
---------
Having dropped to her knees to examine the circle on the same level as Mei, a slender hand reached up as Shuku took the stone, examining it quietly before she passed it on to the Kaguya. "I'm convinced," she said finally...But then again, being new to the ninja arts somewhat, she was rather easily amazed as far as some techniques went. "Nonetheless, it's an amazing talent!" She said, evidently curious as she seemed to move onto her hands and knees, creeping towards Mei with a face of wonder on her face.

"So wait you're Mei?" his voice came from behind Mei, the sticks and branches that he had collected for the fire scattered from his arms as his jaw hung a bit slack, this is the part where the world would usually spin around three hundred and sixty degrees with Kuro stuck in place. It was no surprise that he knew her name, their sensei had sent him out in to this deep forest to look for his wayward classmate, because they were related if even vaguely. He knew enough of his families practice that the circle arrayed in front of Mei was a transmutation circle, but beyond that he had no other evidence to support that it was indeed her. Strangely, it had never crossed his mind that one of the females that he had found himself in the company of might have been the one that he had originally been sent after. It was a strange and unfamiliar feeling for someone who routinely counted their actions as failures to have even the smallest thing go right for them. He may not have made it back to the academy for class, but at least he had found his target even if it was by accident. He didn't know what to say how to react, or how to explain that his surprise was born from the rare occurence of him getting something in his life for once.

 Honehime looked up to see Mei pass a small crystal to Shuku. Had she made that too, with her, what was it called? Alchemy? If so, that was a very versatile talent, she wondered if it could work with other materials or elements. If so, she might very well have to look into it, see if it was something she could learn. Even to a lesser extent, it seemed that it would be very useful. She was just about to ask when she saw Shuku start to crawl towards Mei. With the flickering firelight washing over the two, it lent them an atmosphere that could almost be called... romantic? She remained silent, once more taking the role of voyeur, to see what the two had planned. (5668 words + 126 words = 5794 words) "Possession? I suppose it is somezing similar to zat." She didn't understand the details, all she really knew was that it was the way it was, and that she liked it that way. For rather obvious reasons, Elfriede couldn't talk, but even so, she could basically understand her sister when she needed to tell her something. It went the other way, as well, often, Elfriede would react even before Lieselotte had to instruct her verbally. They shared a bond that went beyond a mere puppet and it's master. She mentioned as much to Sakazuki, wondering if the Circe's experiences as a witch might lend her some insight into how Elfriede managed to reside in her puppet. (6479 words + 116 words = 6595 words) Mei saw Shuku crouch down onto her knees to look her straight in the eye. When Shuku began to crawl closer, she leaned forward a little as well, looking closer at the girl, wondering what she was doing. When she tried to hand the crystal back, Mei shook her head, making her ears flop lightly, as well as sending a tremor through her chest. "No, you can keep that." When she heard the voice behind her, she nearly jumped. Only nearly, because she was currently kneeling, and it was very difficult to jump in that position. Instead, she only barely avoiding flopping over onto her side. Looking behind her, she saw Kuro looking at her. "Um, yes, my name is Mei. Were you looking for me?" Perhaps it was just her ditzy nature, but she didn't recognize Kuro, nor did she know why he might be looking for her. (2901 words + 149 words = 3050 words)

This was ryu's first day in the academy and he feel that he is in a good place and once he graduate from the academy he can go out and see the world for what is has to offer but first i have to learn move to get me through the academy so i can fight stronger opponent. The teacher came in and what do you know it's the world famous kakashi hatake ryu was amazed that someone with he's strength and potential is teaching Ryu how to Tree Climbing. "well well what do we have here" kakashi said while he was read a book and then he closed it and looked at ryu "well we should get start shall we go now" kakashi said as he was walking to the door ryu then got up and walk after him as he walk he saw other academy student using ninjutsu ryu looked in disappointment "I can make in this world without that type of ninjutsu." then ryu and kakashi walk outside then kakashi faced ryu and said let the lesson begin...ryu prepare himself for one of kakashi's test and he got into his fighting stance that his master taught him and kakashi looked at ryu with some amazement then he said alrights your going to have to see if you can get a hit off of me but you can only use taijutus moves only. kakashi then looked at ryu with a smile under his mask ryu then got in his fighting stance ryu looked in amazement he said in his head "this is a great honor im fighting the great kakashi hatake...this is awsome" then kakashi says "ready....go kakashi comes at ryu very quickly and ryu was ready but kakashi speed is great and ryu punch at kakashi but kakashi dodged it and punch at ryu but blocked it and said i win then kakashi then looked in amazement "what?! How?! ryu then told him o look down and ryu's foot was on kakashi's knee then kakashi was amazed "wow your can be a genin with talent in taijutsu your pretty good but now on to the lesson your going to learn...your going to learn how to walk on water ryu looked in amazement "walk on...water ryu looked so confuse "will this improve my fighting skill?" yes you'll be able to fight on water just as well as you fight on land kakashi said very smartly ryu then said "yeah let's get started" Kakashi "yeah lets get started. then kakashi and ryu then walk over to the lake and they got started with their lesson then kakashi turns to ryu and tell him what and how to walk on water kakashi then said it is a variation on the Tree Climbing Technique, Water Walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water now i will give you a demo on it" kakashi then walk to the lake and steps on the water and he starts walking on water and then kakashi starts to run on the water as well to show him how easy it was to walk on water then he asked ryu to join him on the lake ryu look and analyzed what kakashi did to walk on the water ryu notice that in order to walk on the surface of the water he had to give the right amount of chakra into his feet and balance it at the same time and you have to have great chakra control which ryu has since he was trained by his master in the way of the hadou to learn how to masters ones ki force. so ryu then focus his chakra into his feet and then he walked on the water to get the feel of how it feels to use chakra for other purposes beside hadou. then ryu walk on to the water "wow this is kinda easy im doing it perfectly" then ryu starts to run and jump and fliping on the water and came back down in front of kakashi "Hmmm....not bad kid u have some skill since your learning so quickly i'll show you how to run up trees it should be easy when i show you ryu then looked at kakashi "it's is a honor for you to be my teacher' ryu says with a smile on his face but it was a very faded smile then kakashi looked at no problem kid you have some skill can't let it go to waste like that..."kakashi then looks at ryu and thinks what else move can he teach home after the tree climbing but then kakashi just said to heck with it you can learn any move you want to learn i am your teacher and i know i can teach you things just ask me ryu gave a blank stare "well i don't have anything in mind but i would like to ask you some thing? kakashi looked at ryu with a confused face "what's that" ryu notice that he always had his left eye covered all the time and he asked "why do you have your eye cover what is it because of an bad accident or some thing? then kakashi gave a sigh ".....yes it was a accident back in a war.... i lost my eye in battle. ryu looks at kakashi and said did you ever find your eye kakashi? kakashi then looks at ryu then says nope never did but someone was nice enough to give me their's. ryu looked in shock and said looking around the fleld of trees umm so how does your eye look now? kakashi then rised his hand towards his head band and then lifts it up the reveal that he had the Sharingan eye. ryu looked at kakashi in confused "so your a Uchiha"? kakashi then put his hand on his head and says no im not some one gave me this eye from the uchiha clan that was a friend of mines....he die in the war. ryu looked at kakashi in sadness that must be hard to bare. kakashi then looked up toward the sky and murmured some words the ryu could not hear and the kakashi says well that enough going down memory lane now lets get back to your training ryu got up ready for his next training then kakashi tells ryu how he's going to learn how to ryu up walls and such like that "this is called tree climbing. The Tree Climbing technique serves a dual purpose. The first is that it helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. The second is that it teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls or walls period. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise but it looks like you have that already ryu i don't think i have to teach you because the ablilty you showed me with the walking on water was great but let's see if you can do it going on that tree over there. then ryu looked where kakashi pointed and there was this large tall tree. "hmmm let's see what i can do then ryu focus his energy into his feet then he started to run then he ran up the tree without stopping and then he reach the top of the tree and said "their i did it yes!!........ now how am i going to get down? then kakashi said you have skill kid figure it out.

Life...A breath of existence so faint, yet so....devious. You never know who you might end up born as. But no matter who or what you appear in this world you end up knowing one thing, you're here for a reason....
Jakiro softly smiled, an innocent genin he only was. In front of him was a group of comrades, fellow genin that came into this world with the same goal as he did. He did not understood them, not even like them, but to survive the only thing he could do was....adapt. "Hi there, you guys are genins too?" a fluttered sound blew away from him. It reached the party instantly and in turn, waiting for their reply, Jakiro decided to move in closer and stand almost in the middle of the pack. His soft hair slightly waved in the wind almost as it was a flag, proudly showing off it's colour to the rest of the world. His slightly risen, emerald eyes glittered in the rays of the sun that seemed to shine brighter in his presence. He was a monument to peace, if he could believe that for now it perhaps would be best. His clothes, now colored dark green let the rays of the eye of heaven bounce off into the ground, giving plenty to the prospering grass. While the reply did not come the boy kept up his silky smile, leading deeper into the desguise of happyness... Words:240 Total:240

"It's not uncommon," Sakazuki started, her tone coming as if she were reading right out of a book. "I mean, sometimes, if a person has a strong bond towards someone else, that bond can persist, even in death... And to give itself a form in this dimension, it will either haunt the being in spirit or animate some object via possession," she continued, her eyes shutting for a moment. "There's a clan in my village who serve as living... Or rather, un-living examples of that very concept. Have you ever heard of the Descartes Clan in Hidden Twilight?" She asked curiously then, her head tilting as she loosened her grip on the rabbit's corpse slightly.
===========
While Shuku was rather intent on discovering more about this foreign technique, once Mei's attention was pulled away by the boy, she let out a sigh, a mix of disappointment and mild jealousy as she then turned towards the Kaguya who had become rather quiet in this conversation, her hands shifting as her knees moved to face Honehime. If her clothes were as tight as the cowgirl's chances were that a swaying chest would be in clear view as well... Yet the loose sweater did well to cover that.
"You're awfully silent, Hone-chan..."

"Sort of, our sensei sent me out here since classes were going to start soon, but things kinda got sidetracked so it doesn't really matter anymore." he crouched down next to her looking at her work, there wasn't any particular reason for them to have met before this point, she had grown up with her parents, his talents had been inherited from a man he'd never met or even knew his name. Two completely different sides of the tracks really. He looked away his face turning red, there was something he wanted to say, something he wanted to ask, but he didn't know if he could get it out. What if she laughed at him, like everyone else did for his horrible skills, he wasn't sure if he wanted to ask if she was going to laugh like all the other alchemists did. She seemed nice and gentle, if just a little bit different, maybe just maybe she could different then the others. Something that came so naturally for everyone else around him was such a difficulty to master, it didn't really make sense that he couldn't get his alchemy to work right. "Ummm... Mei-san..." he paused now not even sure how to phrase his question. "Do you think you could show me your method for alchemy, I mean if it's not too much trouble, actually I don't want to waster your time, just forget I said anything." he had started off by tracing his finger around the outside of the circle, but the end he'd pulled back his hand as if the circle was red hot. Then yet another player entered into their strange comedy of a night. The sudden words startled Kuro so much that he couldn't keep himself upright, he toppled over in an attempt to stand up quickly, his legs becoming caught underneath himself. "Uh, no I'm a student here at least from now." he said from the ground in his tangled heap.

 Honehime sighed, a little disappointed, as Mei and Shuku pulled away from each other. She wasn't sure what exactly she had been hoping would happen, nor did she know why she got such a thrill out of merely watching. Perhaps it was due to her continuous attempts to peer into the future? During those attempts, she was always looking, never taking part. Perhaps that influenced her behavior here, enough that she was more of a passive personality than anything. She looked up again, wondering when Lieselotte and Sakazuki would be back. They had been gone a while, if they didn't return soon, it would be rather worrisome. She took a slow look around, before spotting yet another new face. She wondered how in the world more and more people kept congregating here, in the middle of a forest, with no sign from the outside world that there was anyone here already. When she heard Shuku say her name, she lowered her gaze a little, only to have her eyes widen, as she saw Shuku, still on her knees, but now facing her rather than Mei. She blushed slightly before answering the Mayonaka's question. "I believe it's just because I usually don't speak very much. Long hours spent peering into the unknown don't leave much room for conversations with other people." (5668 words + 220 words = 5888 words) Lieselotte quietly listened to Sakazuki as she explained what she knew of spirits and how they could interact with the world of the living. It sounded fanciful, like the fever-dreams of a child, but she knew that Elfriede was her sister, so there had to be some truth in what the Circe said. What that truth would mean to her and Elfriede, she couldn't say. They would have to set aside some quiet time to think about it, and find the answer for themselves. But not now. No, they had undertaken an obligation to these other young people, and they would carry it out. When Sakazuki mentioned the Descartes clan, Lieselotte had to stop and think. Over the course of her job, she had had to travel the world, she'd seen things both impossible and amazing, but even so, there were many things she had yet to see, or to hear about. The Descartes clan was one of those. "I have not," she admitted "are zey like my sister?" She wondered about that, if Elfriede found out there was an entire group of spirits who remained in this world, what would she do? Would she still remain with her sister, or would she go and seek others like herself? Lieselotte was loathe to admit it, but she was scared of losing her sister. (6479 words + 224 words + 6703 words) Mei blinked in surprise when Shuku turned away, at the same time as Kuro moved closer to her. Everyone here sure seemed to move fast? Perhaps it was partially from the nature of the animal whose traits she possessed, but she liked to take things slow, and she wasn't all that bright, although not for lack of trying. With those facts being true, when everything around her seemed to happen at once, occasionally she'd get confused. Luckily for her, and the others, this was not one of those times. Instead, she took a long moment to gather her thoughts, to let her mind catch up to everything that happened, before finally making a reply. First, she held a hand out to Kuro, to help the boy to his feet. She looked up at the latest in the line of guests to this little party. "Um, I'm not a Genin either, I haven't even made it to the Academy yet." Grasping Kuro's hand, she showed a bit more strength than might otherwise be apparant when she pulled him up, before answering his question. Not letting go of his hand, she looked at him and nodded. "I may not be the best teacher, but if you want my help to learn alchemy, then I will help you." Looking around at the others, she wondered if anyone else would want to learn the nature and intricacy of her home village's craft, as well? As well, she worried that she wouldn't be a good enough teacher. She was earnest, all right, but she was also ditzy to the point of possibly putting everyone into danger. Oh well! Nothing ventured, nothing gained! She'd teach Kuro, and the others if they wanted. And hopefully nothing would go wrong. Alchemy was tricky business, but it was possible for anyone to do it. As she herself so aptly proved. (2901 words + 311 words = 3212 words)

"No... Well, not exactly at least."
Sakazuki gave a soft sigh as thought out her next words. "While the Descartes clan remain on this plane, they don't really use possessions as their main means of manifestations... They prefer to be like... Invisible guys most of the time, ya know?" She explained, "but I don't really know all the details. I don't really associate with that clan much... They're a mischievous bunch, much of the time," she confessed as she groaned. "There's even one that often breaks into my house and tends to mess up my potion ingredients..."
She fell silent before chuckling.
"There was this one time that I was making an enlargement potion that required milk, being one for the chest... But instead it was mixed with another familiar white liquid and a different sort of growth formed..."
She was quiet again, though her face held a rather amused smirk.

"After all this, I really can't agree with you," Shuku replied with a soft chuckle. She didn't quite know what it was, but there was something that made this girl easier to talk to than Mei. Perhaps it was the lack of a chest? No matter. Pushing that thought to the back of her mind, she sat up, sitting now in the classic Japanese style on folded legs. Beckoning the seat beside her, it was evident that the activity had gotten the woman in a rather cheerful and active mood.
"Crawl from your shell, shy turtle... And let us converse."

For once Kuroshika actually cracked a smile, he of course had been a bit surprised at Mei's physical strength, but it was her acceptance of his request that really made him happy. He grinned nodding. "I can't exactly say I'll be the best student either, but I'll try my hardest." he had no fear of what might happen, he was confident in her ability to teach so long as she was confident in his ability to learn what she had to teach. It seemed that things might not be so bad for Kuroshika after all, he'd met some new people, they didn't really judge him and he'd even found someone to tutor him in the arts of alchemy. This day couldn't get much better, he looked skyward as the first few stars of night began to make their gradual and majestic appearence.

 Honehime watched silently as Shuku moved to a more comfortable sitting posture. Well, more comfortable for some. She herself could sit that way too, without the risk of her feet falling asleep. She'd heard others weren't so lucky, however. When Shuku gestured for her to move next to her, her cheeks tinged a faint pink for a moment, but then she worked up the courage to follow Shuku's command. she sidled closer to the Mayonaka, moving into the same posture as well. Her blush returned when Shuku called her a shy turtle, though. Was that how she saw her? She had to admit, it did fit, she was shy, and as a Kaguya, her bones were much like a shell. This woman had good insight. She exhaled softly before tilting her head to look at Shuku. "V-very well, but what shall we talk about?" (5888 words + 144 words = 6032 words) Lieselotte nodded as she listened to Sakazuki tell her about the Descartes clan. Fascinating, they were spirits like her sister, but they were also different. "So zey are like ze poltergeists of legend, zen?" She had heard of those spirits before, they liked to move objects and cause mischief. She wondered if it was possible that all those tales and rumors of poltergeists were in fact earlier occurrences of the Descartes traits? It might be an interesting topic to look into, at another time. When Sakazuki went on to explain precisely how a Descartes had altered one of her experiments, she paused in mid-step, taken aback. She returned to herself quickly, though. "What ze hell are you saying, you shouldn't talk of such zings in front of ze younger children. Mon Dieu have you no shame?"Her cheeks had turned bright red while she said this. She may be an accomplished killer in her own right, and she may have seen the world, but there were some things the young Akasun hadn't grown mature enough to have a first-hand knowledge of. (6703 words + 182 words = 6885 words) Mei nodded, that was the way to do it! Thinking positively would make the impossible possible! Or at least that was what she had heard. She didn't really understand the phrase, though. If the impossible became possible, then it wasn't impossible anymore. So what was it? She shook her head slightly, sending a tremor through her floppy ears, as well as a second, more noticeable tremor through her bust, before she returned to the matter at hand. Clearing her throat softly, she tried to sound official, and maybe a little boring. Like a teacher was supposed to sound. "Alright. Alchemy is the art of turning one thing into another thing. The things have to be close to each other. I don't mean close like next to each other, but that they are similar. Like grass and flowers, or like water and ice. Not like a carrot and a puppy. You shouldn't try turning a carrot into a puppy. This happens by using an alchemical symbol, they are usually called arrays. They are circles, with lots of detail. There are specific circles for each change you might try to perform, with the more complicated ones being used for the more difficult changes. What you have to do, is learn what symbols are which, and make sure to use the right one." Mei smiled, and paused in her lesson, to see if Kuroshika had any questions. She hoped she was doing an okay job! (3212 words + 242 words = 3454 words)
