I sort of didn't notice that there was a 'characters with no surname' section below. Until just this second.
Did you want those added too? O_o Or should I just finish the m-z and the no surnames will be a second section?

You know, I was just randomly thinking, while staring at the screen and typing stuff, about what if J. K Rowling had wrote a book from Voldemort's point of view, particularly from his birth to the first war.
Or if maybe he wrote a memoir.
I'd imagine the first few chapters, of his childhood before Hogwarts, would probably make you cry so hard you couldn't stand it. D: Since living in an orphanage, knowing you were different from others, which they picked on you about, and the conditions, and who knows what happened... how does a ten year old boy learn to steal and covet trinkets from the people he's gotten revenge on? What happened to him in those first few years?
And then it'd detail the jaded but optimistic views of a boy who wanted to be wanted, to be recognized, to be important. Of a boy who continued to grow up alone, with no one. With friends who likely only used him or were friends with him because he could speak parsletongue, of having no real friends or anyone he could count on besides himself.
Of being suspiciously watched by Dumbledore and likely feeling condemned before he'd even done anything, with Dumbledore doing nothing to help him even though he saw him for what he could be. (Really, really good, or really bad) Of finding out where he came from, only to be utterly rejected by people he thought he could find family in, of finding his wizarding family was no more than a bunch of inbred, almost-squib like people. living in squallor but still pretending they were a grand people because of their 'blood,' entitling them to something they didn't deserve. (And they were asshats to his mum)
OF a boy who grew into a man whose childhood and teenage years had firmly cemented in his mind that he would get nothing unless he took it by force, because no one would ever give you anything. That it was better not to care for people because no one cared for you, to use them before they use you first, and so much more that I have in my head but can't exactly form the words for.
I think it'd be a very sad, and then gradually very, very terrifying book about his descent into madness.
Mmmm... I would love to read that book. And it's not like it would be 'Writing Twilight from Edward's point of view'-esque like that lady's doing. D:
Hocrap. Prequel!
You'd have to get into some pretty serious psychological work to properly write that though. I can just imagine what it would turn out like though, and if it was written right, it would be EPIC.
It'd be completely candid, and wouldn't end up with you feeling sorry for Voldemort, just feeling more frightened than the concept of a person like him than ever and with a greater understanding of how he came to be who he was.
