Breaking news!
NEW YORK - A teenager from Manhattan saved a woman from a poisonous snake earlier today. Heather Chesid, 24, was shopping in an exotic pet store when a speckled rattlesnake attacked and bit her private area.
Tyler Duconski, 17, was buying food for his dog when he happened to see Chesid laying on the floor with the snake in her pants. He acted quickly and immediately approached her. Duconski thanks Gaia Online's Chatterbox forum for his heroic action. "I remember a thread telling me about a similar situation. I opened her pants and proceeded to suck the poison out. I touched her shoulder and told her that everything was going to be okay."
The speckled rattlesnake, crotalus mitchellii is a venomous snake found in the southwestern United States. When bitten, the snake's victim only has fifteen minutes to live unless given the proper antidote or survival technique. Victims suffer nausea, headache, shaking, and hypothermia before dying.
Chesid is happy to be alive. She is currently recovering at Sacred Heart Hospital in lower Manhattan. Animal Control is still investigating why the snake attacked her.
