Niceril Its easy Hiragana that is. Making sentences is a bit confusing but I got it down in a day just can't remember words. I need to read more in japanese but a lot of the stuff is in Kanji and that stuff has chinese characters which bug me out cause there are so many chinese characters @_@.
I'm slowly learning japanese though. Starting with kindergarten stuff like colors, numbers.
Lol. Teaching yourself? Reminds me.. I wanted to learn how to write in Egyptian hieroglyphs. I got a couple chapters into the book and stopped reading. I need to pick it up again xD

Sort of. Not really. I got a Japanese friend to converse with when she is on, and japanese coach on Nintendo DS always helps LOL. There's the internet and then a little bit of hard work and motivation from anime, japanese dramas and music. 3nodding + I have background in Chinese so Japanese is easier for me to learn and speak as some words sound alike.
Pingu (Chinese)-> Apple
Ringo (Japanese)-> Apple
I guess you can call it teaching yourself? Though I don't think I can teach myself on how to use and read Kanji so easily. Damn Chinese characters and their dozen strokes per character >>. Anyways...

Languages with many forms of writing is wacko.
Not being racist, I am just saying, English is the outcome of mixing up loads of languages and turns into a big pile of s**t.
Example that confuses other people "there" and "their." Even someone who has spoken English for 50 years can make that mistake. I ******** hate English... its seriously lazy, but complicated, and them American English is lazier still.
"Colour" - English, while "Color" is the American spelling. They took out a letter because the red necks were lazy shits.
I have actually got myself confused because of American spelling too... I think English should be WIPED and we should all speak Mandarin... or the lessor Cantonese, OR SOMETHING NOT SO ******** RETARDED.

Many forms of writing? :O Well technically Japanese only has one more set of alphabet than English (hiragana, katakana and kanji) that the Japanese people use and well kanji is more like 'let's shorten this because all this hiragana is making my eyes hurt' XD
Niceril I sympathise totally but Chinese well... it's really funny because here, my friends and stuff, all they can read are the chinese words XD Besides once you know the radicals and stuff you can easily deduce the meaning of the character.

Translate comics 3nodding That's what I do. If you can read hiragana and katakana and you have an internet connection, you can translate comics. (online dictionary: WWWJDIC cool sound effects dictionary: nihongoresources cool )

Qyp you know that generally happens when one language exists on more then one continent. For example Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese are different. Grammar is slightly changed and some spelling as well. Different expressions also mean different things. ( being so far away from each other it can't be helped and then the influences of other countries also go into account ) Also the same goes for Spanish I think, if I'm right, each country that speaks has a variation in the spelling etc
so the same thing happened with english in teh states. So what they decided to change it a little bit whats the big difference? ( not saying i like it I'm just saying certain things just aren't worth making a big deal out of it ) and not every american is a red neck!
America is too big of a country to generalize. Each state has its own little culture so people vary from place to place. The same goes for everywhere else too. Its very difficult to completely judge a country on a few individuals there's just to much diversity especially when the population is bigger.

I know this is wholly irrelevant to the context you used it in, but was Castro really a dictator? :O I was always led to believe that he was a revolutionary hero (at least, in Cuba) who overthrew the US-backed dictatorship under General Batista.

Anyway re: cheerios' comment about Hayate in the earlier pages this is just a notification that he has been banned for minimum 2 weeks, maybe permanently if the Crew so decides.
