Seto looked even angrier and he opened his mouth to speak, but the pharaoh cut in. "Seto!" Now the pharaoh's tone was sharper; he was slightly flushed, and glared up at his priest. "There is no 'us'. I am the pharaoh, I am the one who makes these kinds of decisions! Remember your place, and move aside!"
What happened next was quite shocking, if I do say so myself. Seto whipped around, and actually punched the pharaoh. Right across the face. The pharaoh fell to the ground, his lip bleeding heavily, and looked up at Seto with a look of utter shock. Seto seemed surprised as well at his own actions. Then Seto seemed to calm down. He held out his hand to help the pharaoh up, but Atem rose on his own. He was rather frightening when angry like that. Seto pretended not to notice. "Perhaps, Great Pharaoh..." Seto knelt down before Atem, his voice extremely soft. "...perhaps you might wait outside. Such a matter like this does not require your supervision. Do I have your permission to arrest the thief?" Atem touched his lip gingerly, then looked at the blood on his fingertips, ignoring the priest for a moment.

Atem didn't take the offered fabric. He still seemed rather dazed at what just happened. Slowly his gaze fell on Seto. "Well, Seto... you obviously seem to think of yourself as being in a higher position than I am. Do whatever the hell you want." He turned and strode out of the house. Seto got to his feet, shaking mildly. A few guards were looking at him through the open doorway, and he watched as Atem mounted his horse and began to ride off. "Holy s**t. I thought he was going to kill me."

"No." Seto shook his head. "The pharaoh has obviously sided with you... but I refuse to let that be the end of this. There will be some say from the other priests about your punishment." Seto pulled out a familiar, evil golden item from his pocket. He turned towards Rei, striking her on the neck to make her pass out.

Seto commanded the men to grab the unconscious family. He was about to leave and get on his horse , but decided to watch over the men and make sure they did the job right. Besides, the pharaoh might not want to be spoken to right now. Of his life was going to be spared, he knew that his position as the high priest wouldn't.
"Wait." He spoke to one of the men who had picked up both the infants. "Let me see them." It was simple to tell that they were, indeed, the offspring of Bakura. One boy, one girl. he sighed, thinking of the pharaoh's own daughter. He wouldn't have such a problem if only she was his son...
Seto handed Femi to the man, but still held Kek. Seeing the slightly puzzled expression on the soldier's face, Seto's eyes narrowed. "I don't need to explain myself to you. But I'm going to be holding on to this one for a while." It was a plan. If these two infants were, indeed, Bakura's children, then he could keep one in the palace, as a kind of hostage. It could be raised as the pharaoh's son, in case Atem didn't produce one of his own. All Seto would really have to do is get the pharaoh used to that idea, and then arrange for his daughter to have an 'accident', and a more suitable heir would be appointed.

Kek screamed louder and squirmed in seto's arms. Both of the childrens wails were ear splitting.
((You better not harm the infants!))

[Well there's always a spare if one dies!]
Seto kept a firm hold of the boy and ignored his wailing. He got on his horse, wondering if perhaps he should make one of the servants hold this screaming ball of flesh. He rode off, hoping to catch up with the pharaoh.

((No! if you kill femi or kek i'll kill everybody! evil ))
Kek continued to flail and scream not liking this man or beingaway from his mother.
Whoever was holding femi would be having a hard time as well as she was screaming and kicking as well.

[I doubt you could do that. :P Anyway, I'm skipping to the palace. You can have Rei wake up.]
The prisoners had been brought to the throne room, where the priests and pharaoh judged the criminals. Both had chains on their wrists, and Bakura had some on his ankles as well. Guards blocked the only door, and there were extra standing near, all of them holding spears. The pharaoh sat on his throne, and a young girl stood beside him. Amentre couldn't help but watch the two white-haired figures; even if they weren't moving, this was her first trial she had been asked to watch.
The priests stood before the pharaoh as always, in two rows of three, all holding their Millennium Items. Akhenaden was near Seto, and was glaring at his son with his one good eye. They had all found out about Seto's loss of control, and didn't know what the pharaoh was planning to do with him. Atem seemed disinterested, and was instead having a mild conversation with his daughter. Kek and Femi had been taken to another section of the palace to be watched over by the female servants.

Rei's head swung slightly as she started to wake up. Her eyes blinked as she struggled slightly to move.
Nanu who was normaly Amentre's care taker was sitting in a room rocking the two infants who refused to stop crying.

"Great Pharaoh..." Someone said, noticing that she was waking up. Atem glanced up, and began to rise to his feet. The priests started forward, to try and tell him to sit back down or something, but he made them back off with a glare. Amenitre hesitatingly followed her father as he walked forward and gestured for her to come. Atem stopped five or six feet away from Rei, and Amenitre stuck to his side, clinging to his arm. She looked the same as before, except cleaner, seeing as she was staying in the palace instead of in the house in the oasis. Her multi-colored hair was brushed neatly and hung halfway down her back, and she had on a fancy little white linen dress. She gave no sign of recognizing Rei or Bakura. "You've been out for a while. Bakura has yet to wake up as well. Are you sure you didn't kill him?" Atem asked Rei, looking down on her.

Rei had to blink for a moment till she came to "A man at the inn hit him over the head with large rock...." she said before somthing dawned on her "Where are my children!?" you could tell she was starting to panic as she squirmed fearing for her childrens life. Tears started to gather in her eyes "Where are my children!? she asked agian more panic in her voice.

Atem glanced curiously at Seto-- he had meant to ask, but hadn't gotten around to it yet. Seto was looking away, examining his Millennium Rod. Finally the priest sighed. "Calm down, woman. They're being watched over by a nurse. They're fine." "Nanu?" Amenitre tugged on Atem's kilt, looking up at her father. "Are they with Nanu?" He just patted her head and ignored her. Amenitre scowled, and then looked towards Rei, speaking in a soft voice that wasn't really like her. "If they're with Nanu they're alright... Nanu is my friend..." "Now, honey, don't speak during the middle of things..." Atem muttered distractedly to his daughter, finally turning his gaze away from Seto. He looked at Rei. "Now, state your name and relation to the thief."
