"Ok then. Sorry theres not anything better for you to do" Carla apologised leading them down a series of side streets. She glared at some of the other viera who watched the group with a look of disgust.
Alpha sighed with disappointment "I guess chocobos are cool in their own way." Seph stuck her tounge out at him when she was sure nobody was watching.

Zadina smiled sweetly "We could always go see the hot springs later" he told Alpha.
Itaka groaned at the back when he heard this.
Oassu nervously glanced at some of the other Viera around who seemed to be giving them mean looks. He waved and smiled nervously in an attempt to be friendly.
Zadina looked about the village "You don't have to apologise ma'am this village is fascinating" he said noting down the scenary in his book.
Itaka spoke up "Yes it's an honour to simply be allowed into a Viera village" he said bowing to some nearby Viera politely

Hayate nodded "We can go to the hot springs if we get everything done." he ignored the looks the viera gave him.
Satoshi noticed the looks that she was been given maybe it would be better not to teleport around the place
"If anything it should be us that need to give an apology. If we hadn't come so unexpectedly you wouldn't have to be tagging a long with us" Felina answered.

Alpha grinned quickening his pace "In that case lets get down to business"
Carla shook her head "It's ok... Felina. Things like this happen all the time. Besides at gives me something different to do. Just ignore them they will calm down shortly" She took them through a further set of streets until the houses got further and further apart. Eventually they came to a small old fashioned barn with a pen outside filled with chocobos of every colour.
Seph walked over to the side of the pen patting a small black chocobo on the head.

Zadina ran over to the black chocobo with Seph and began petting it "They're beautiful!" he giggled
Oassu cuddled into and Orange chocobo "They're so fluffy"
Itaka stood in the center and looked about "I don't suppose you Viera ever use Chocobo's for warfare now?"

Cid sniffed a fat yellow chocobo only to be sniffed back. Felina grabbed hold of him preventing him from jumping upon the chocobos back. She went over to the one Oassu was with "I've never seen a chocobo of that colour before"
Satoshi stood at one side of the pen with her arms crossed. But not for long as a young chocobo jumped on her.
Hayate laughed watching "What do you use them for out of interest?"

Alpha examined one of the larger ones "How old do they have to be before you can ride them?"
"Usually around 2 years but it depends on how fast they develop. We breed them for tradition. We originally started breeding them for warfare but now we no longer go to battle." Carla explained picking up the chocobo that jumped onto Satoshi and held it in her arms "She seems to like you. But the rest look more interested in your friend"
Carla pointed to Seph who was being surrounded by a large group of the birds. "Why don't you come over and take a closer look at them Itaka" Seph suggested

Itaka looked up and down at Seph who was slowly being enveloped by them. He trawled over to her "And end up birdfood like you?" he said picking a little one off of Seph's head.
Oassu laughed at Cid "Aww lookit him he want's to be a little chocobo knight"
Zadina asked "The different colours supposedly mean different abilities is this true?"

Carla nodded "To a point yes. The reds and the greens have claws that are adapted for climbing where as the blue ones are excellent swimmers. Black ones are good at both of those activities and in one or two rare cases can fly. The golden ones can fly which is why they are tied down" she glanced over to Itaka and Seph "Speaking of birdfood, you can feed the older ones" she placed the one she was holding in Alpha's hand and provided the two of them with a bucket of gysahl greens "The rest of you can come round the back and help feed the newborns."

Felina grinned "Aww we are gonna feed all the baby chocobos. I bet they all look cute" she stepped out the pen.
Satoshi straightened herself up "How old was that one out of interest?"
Hayate stepped out the pen "Now isn't this much better than going to the hot springs" he whispered to Alpha patting him on the back.

Oassu's face burst into a grin as he ran off after Felina.
Zadina ran ecstatically after them "I wanna see the baby choco's!!!" he cried
Itaka sighed and shook his head turning to feed a Chocobo "What a bunch of kids" he said

"Have fun you two" Alpha put down the chocobo and waved to them.
Carla lead them round the side of the barn. The backwall was lined with chicobos no bigger than a large kitten wrapped up in blankets. She walked over and exchanged words with an older viera who was watching over them. She went back to the others "The bottles are on the side table there just don't give one to any that are sleeping"
"Can you blame them,? Seph answered. she paused "Don't you like chocobos?" she asked Itaka giving some greens to one of the smaller blue ones.

"Aww those are so cute" Felina tried not to squeal. She grabbed a bottle and gave it to the first none sleeping chicobo she came accross.
"Very cute" Hayate stated going for a bright yellow one. Satoshi on the other hand couldn't make up her mind which to feed.

Zadina squealed at the sight of the little chicobos and immediately grabbed a bottle before diving in to feed one.
Oassu could barely contain himself "They....they're soooooo tiny ^_^" he said grabbing a bottle and sitting down by Felina to feed them.
Itaka stroked a chocobo's neck as he fed one "I used to own a couple back in the city...they were good ones..bred me a few race winners they did but it's been a long time since I've seen one...how about you?"

Alpha rolled his eyes at the others for their reactions. "I guess they are cute little buggers" he grabbed 2 bottles and went over to where Zadina was "You having fun?"
Carla held back watching the others. She began chatting away with the old viera about something.
"You owned some?! I envy you" Seph answered slightly surprised. She scratched ones head before giving it more greens. "I love chocobos. They are my favourite animals. But I never got to have my own" she added disappointedly.
