Arioch didn't didn't flinch or move from where he stood. He simply stared at the floor, his long ancient and cruel eyes now showing what was a look of hurt and betrayel.

He didn't feel like himself anymore. One hand lifted to wipe at the redden tears that had formed in his eyes. He felt his heart harden. He wouldn't hate Joe....he blamed Joe and was upset with him, but he would never hate him.

Swallowing he glanced in the direction of the house ghost and then at the direction Joe had left in. The once proud demon lord of chaos now just stood there, feeling lost and helpless, powerless. He was a demon who wasn't suppose to care about anything....

He shouldn't have cared about Elric but he had...he was a favorite slave.....then Raven entered their lives and Arioch treated her much the same way he treated her grandfather....then Joe and everything changed.

The demon stood there, taking a deep breath as he watched the empty hallway. He felt things he never felt before Joe had entered his life....Now he felt like he had just stepped out for good...

There wasn't anything anyone could do. No one could keep his favorite, his first beloved safe, not even from himself. Arioch would keep quiet about what happened from Raven. She didn't need to know.

His usual anger rose up however, and Arioch was already moving for the door, the door opening but he stopped. What could he do? Nothing.. Closing the door again, he slid down with his wings about him and just cried.

Song had let Arioch move away from her, remaining still as she listened to hear Joe's voice. She made no movement, nor sound, to indicate that she had acknowledged their conversation. But she was attentive......and even after Arioch had closed his door, she listened to their voices. Sitting up, she stared at the shut door as she felt the air around her turn heavy. She wanted more than anything to stop them both....but it was not her business. This was a matter between her beloved and the demon that had his heart first.

When silence came for a moment, she took the moment to pull her tunic over her body and stood, pressing herself against the door as her ears strained to hear what was happening. Silence was hardly a good thing. She heard Joe say thanks, and then felt his presence fade. Disappointment filled her....but she grew concerned as she felt Arioch's hurt. She opened the door to see him walking after the Incubus, letting him get a distance and following him. She saw him on the floor, weeping and hiding himself amidst his wings. For a long moment, she stood there motionless, just a few feet from him. She didn't know what to do.......she just watched.

Song knew that she could never heal the wound in his heart that Joe had left him. She knew that she could never replace him....or take a higher place in the Chaos Lords heart than the young demon had. In that sense, she hated Joe....or rather, she was envious of him.....or it was both. Yes, it was both. However, this feeling she knew that, unlike many times before, she would have to keep to herself. Letting such an emotion be known would only further the pain that was already plaguing her beloveds heart.......and to further that would hurt her deeper than any hate for another could.

Slowly, she moved from her place and walked over to the demon she loved so dearly. She didn't say a word.....she merely kneeled beside him and wrapped her arms around his covered form, letting him know that she was there and would always be....even if he didn't wish it.

It was one of those moments where Arioch didn't want anyone touching him, just one of those moments where he wanted to feel his every ounce of power and soak in it, create the chaos he had been famous for...

He was the Keeper of the Black Swords, the infamous soul sucking blades...yet he was reduced to something completely different...

Feeling Song's arms wrap around him, he felt himself fall into her embrace, despite his numbed pride screaming at him to just push away. Yet the newer Arioch recongized the motherness, the muse, everything she stood for. He felt jealousy but he didn't associate it with her, rather with himself.

Still tears fell despite him quieting down. He wrapped his arms around Song's form, careful not to break or hurt her but still tight enough. Self doubt crept into him... self doubt he could examine later.

Raven was in her room with her grandfather, Elric when she felt something was amiss in her household. She gave no sign of noticing but rather, continued conversing with Elric over whatever it was they were talking about....

The muse could have cared less if he hurt her, held her, or otherwise.......she was bound to his side until she was sure he was alright. She would have let him do whatever he wanted and would never have held it against him. Throughout her eons, she'd seen much and knew that some things just couldn't be supressed. What mattered more to her than her physical being was him and his currently vulnerable heart.

Song felt relief when he wrapped his arms around her, glad that he chose to accept her presence and the comfort she was offering him. She didn't care how tightly he held her, she just cared about soothing the pain within him. She felt the tears seep through her tunic. Her own stung the back of her eyes as they welled up, but she refused to let them fall. In moments like this, where all around her had fallen into weakness, she had to be strong....to be the shoulder to cry on, the body to lean on, and the beacon of some form of hope. She only wished she could say something......anything that could bring him solace....but what could she possibly have to say that wouldn't be perceived as a facade?

In the end, she resorted to the one thing she could always depend upon; music. She quietly hummed a tune as she held Arioch to her, resting her head upon his as she sang the worldess song, softly stroking his hair. There was no hidden power behind it....no masking tendrils that snuck into the mind or spirit.....it was just a simple song whose tone was meant to be comforting and calming.

No amount of ancient magic could undo what damage had been done.

From somewhere within the house, the demoness felt someone calling out to her.....to her Voice. She opened an eye as she assessed the situation.....Songs heart was calling to Jealousy. She would investigate later. Her eye closed once more and she drifted off again.

He watched her finish the drink, concerned about her welfare. He wanted her safe, not only safe, but happy. And it was something he could not do for her, he could do nothing to make her happy.

"do you feel up to taking a walk in the gardens perhaps?"

He asked Zaro. He loved the outdoors, finding it relaxing and hoped that Zaro would be able to feel peace again soon.

Zaro blinked at him. The gardens? It sounded nice to her. She did miss the lush foliage of Melnibone and it seemed she wasn't returning to Joe. After giving the garden idea some thought she nodded.

She moved carefully and quietly and returned the cup to the sink. She wanted to feel safe and secure again but she doubted its existence.

Alexis stirred from her nap, yawning before she sat up. She rubbed her eyes. It didn't dawn on her something was a miss in the house until after her mind had cleared of the drowsy feeling.

She sat there, part of her still touching Jealousy. She stared at her door though. "What's happened?" She whispered to herself.

Arioch listened to her voice quietly. Tears kept trickling down his face. He even stared into space, the once ancient cruel eyes now saddened, betrayed and lost. His wings were still wrapped about him providing a makeshift shield...

Andras was glad she agreed to come with him, and led her to the gardens. They may not be as impressive as what she missed, but he cherrished the gardens the way they were, with the sky above them and a sense of freedom in the air.

He knew it would take a long time before she was healed, but also knew that her position did not grant her the time to do so.

"how far did he let them go?"

He asked, concern in his voice. It wasn't his place to protect her, and yet, if her master had seen it fit to watch as his slave got raped, then Andras would do what he could to get Zaro out of her masters reach. Living without will was one thing, living without will whilst someone was abusing your fears was something even he, who generally was a peaceful man and willing to serve whomever made him their slave, had a problem with.

She shook her head and shrugged.

"I don't know but they're scent alone made me feel sick..."

She looked around the gardens, breathing the scent of the flowers in. She knelt down to dig her hands into a small patch of flowers, bringing the petals to her nose and smelling them.

It wasn't home, but it was calming enough that she started to feel more relaxed.

Her answer was confusing to him, though he believed it to be so because of what she had gone through, and rather than asking for clarification, he gave her the time she needed to be at peace.

He studied the bird for a while, lost in his own thoughts. The one thing he didn't understand was why her master would willingly harm her, and having done so, brought her here of all places where he knew people would hold him responsible for his actions.

Remembering back to when he had first noticed Zaro and her master in the house, he remembered that her master hadn't had that lustful look he normally held around Andras. Something was very wrong, he just wasn't sure what or whom to seek advice from for this. Either way, he could not let Zaro return to the care of her master whilst whatever it was that was wrong, was wrong.

Zaro peered up at Andras.

"Andras....what is your mistress like?"

She asked. If she was going to be in a house nearly full of women, she may as well learn what she could about them..

Andras thought about the question for a moment, smiling at the memory of her before answering Zaro's question as truthfully as he was able.

"in many ways, she is your masters daughter. she too feeds on sexual energies as does he. she is spoilt, but still kind, has morals even when those morals hurt her more often than not"

The smile on his face indicated how much he cared about her, how much he enjoyed being in her presence.

"and she's stubborn"

Zaro smiled, thinking and trying to come up with how the girl would appear.

"She sounds nice....but she has morals that hurt her?"

She asked, puzzled. A girl to be a lot like her father and still have morals... it puzzled her.

"her morals won't let her feed as much as she should"

He explained kindly.

"you already know that her father won't pass the opportunity to sleep with everything that walks, she's a lot more careful whom she sleeps with than he is... it got to the point that he was worried enough about her health that he got me for her, to give her someone who wasn't morally wrong to sleep with"

"I see.."

She looked back to the flowers and ended up sprawling about them. The scents were so mingled, it helped with the demon and dragon's scent, helping to wipe them from her mind...

She opened her eyes for a moment, just adoring the flowers and feeling a little more at home.

He simply watched her, knowing that even being away from what happened was starting to bring peace to her. How much peace she'd really find, he had no idea.

He ended up coming to the conclusion that her master was a walking disaster. Everywhere the guy went, he left a path of chaos in his wake.
