Bahamut wasn't that difficult a target and was hit pretty hard by the attack. It did a lot of damage and ended up shaking the bug like dragon out of her little nap. Growling slighlty the Vibravra used the last of her strengh to zoom at the Vileplume and sink her sharp little teath into the large flower on its head. The last of her energy used the small pokemon passed out and was swiftly recalled back into her pokeball. Seeing his pokemon land one more hit caused a small smile to appear on his face. His little Vibravra was a tough little girl and she had gone out with a fight.
"Well you managed to beat her but you wont be getting past my next pokemon." Dante said as he reached for Apollo's pokeball with a smirk. Tossing it out the fire horse decided to come out in a burst of black and white flames. Seeing his first pokemon appear caused a happy smile to appear on his face, he really did need to use Apollo more often.

Rin nodded, "Lighten up Miharu. You'll be fine!" Snapping into battle mode Rin's face turned into a look of semi-seriousness. "Get Arri with a Vice grip!" Rin commanded. Akira unfolded her arms that were previously crossed over her chest in a you're-not-worh-my-time manner and charged forwards. Then large mouth at the side of her mouth lashed forwards in front of her as if acting on it's own and took a bite at two of the Aridos's legs. Yum. "Arri use your Poison Sting!" Kevin instructed, his voice not as loud compared to Jake's. Arri's thin, glowing white needles shot at Akira's body doing no damage what so ever. Rin couldn't help but grin at Akira's immunity to Poison typed attacks.
Jake wasted no time at commanding Beedril to use it's own Poison Sting on Miharu's Pidgey. The bee Pokemon flew upwards fast and pointed one of it's arms at Oska. It glowed a brillant white before dozens of needles began to shower down upon the small bird.

Being a Fire Pokemon, there was a loud yelp of fright before the wave cut Felsic off, the powerful Surf attack crashing right down on him. Felsic's soaking wet mess of a body washed up at Mike's feet, he was out cold.
Recalling his tattered Pokemon, he looked up at the victor, who was slamming his claws into the ground and roaring, as best a Crawduant can.
"Don't be such a sore winner." Mike had a semi-annoyed look on his face, Xanthos was so tough to talk to. "Back in the ball with you." After recalling his other Pokemon, he walked back into the Pokemon Center. Beacon and Napalm's Pokeballs sat in a tray on the counter. He snapped them back onto his backpack strap and placed the two recent fighters in another. After handing in his injured Pokemon, Mike made his way to the guest rooms, curling up in a ball on top of the bed, not even bothering to use any covers.
After ten minutes of thrashing, Mike was fast asleep.

Mike awoke mid morning, the Pokemon Center beds as comfortable as ever. Following his routine stretch, he looked around to see if anyone else had stayed overnight. Nope. Mike looked inside his bag, a few changes of dirty clothes were inside. "What difference does it make if I shower but my clothes are dirty?" He asked himself, exiting the guest room.
After picking up Felsic and Xanthos' Pokeballs, Mike took his dirty laundry to the washing machine. The one clean pair of clothes he had left sat on top as he took a shower. He took his sweet time, being the only one in the Center. Another person came in, a younger girl from the sounds of it. She needed to have her Pikachu healed after her battle with Misty. Mike remembered his second Gym match with Brawly, and how awesome it was to win. "After a little training, I think I'll head over to another Gym." He said to himself, pondering which one. "Wait! Nina is working as the Gym Leader of Saffron. I'll challenge her and then battle Erika!" He shut off the water and snagged a plain looking towel, drying himself off and wrapping it around his waist before exiting the shower. He put on his flame boxers and flame pants, the usual, and refitted his gloves, making a note to get them refueled. He walked out and threw on a shirt, tossing his clothes in the dryer.
All his clothes clean, he himself all nice and tidy, Pokemon healed and ready to go, Mike exited the Pokemon Center, ready for some more training.

"Miss. Good mornin', miss," a voice grew in intensity, protruding into the darkness, drawing Mary-Anne out from her peaceful sleep. Blinking drowsily, she glanced up and back to see an upside-down train steward, looking at her amusedly. No, not backwards; she thought, realizing that she was lying down on her back with her head hanging down, staring at him.
"We've arrived in Goldenrod a few hours ago, but since you were sleeping, we decided to let you sleep until the train needs to leave again," the steward continued jauntily.
"Oh. . . oh, thanks," she mumbled, shaking off her sleepiness gradually. She would've immediately twisted about to a sitting position, if not for a weight on her stomach. . . It was Daemyn, nestled there in her arms. He had fallen asleep after her and found it most comfortable there. Mary-Anne smiled warmly, gently trying to lift herself up in hopes of not waking him up. . . But that was in vain, as the slightest movement woke him up.
It was a gorgeous day, with the sky a glassy, brilliant azure and the sun riotously beaming upon the world; M.A. couldn't help but feel cheerful, and even Daemyn was in an upbeat mood. He trotted bouncily at his girl's heels, watching the crowds of people curiously in the large city. Eventually, they came upon the PokeCenter (for breakfast, of course), which was also somewhat crowded.
". . . that a pack chased some trainers away from their territory."
"Yeah, but they’ll be gone soon. I’ve heard that this particular pack migrates."
"How scary, Houndoom! I’ve heard their burns last a lifetime, I wouldn’t want to meet them for anything. Like. . ."
M.A. eaves-dropped momentarily on this conversation between a few nearby trainers, glancing down with a sad smile at Daemyn, who was chomping on his fodder beside her. When he looked up, though, she seemed to be smiling brightly. "Did you hear that, Daemyn? Your family might be here!"
At first, he didn't quite understand, but then the idea hit him and his eyes shone, that stubby tail of his wagging wildly. A painfully upbeat smile plastered itself on M.A.'s expression.

After breakfast, they immediately went looking for the pack on the route that the trainers had mentioned. Daemyn's spirits were soaring as they searched, ears perked for any hint of familiar howling; to anybody watching, M.A. seemed just as happy, skipping along and keeping her eyes quite open.
Hours passed, but there still was no sign. Daemyn's ears drooped just a bit; M.A. brutally reprimanded herself for hoping that they wouldn't find the pack
Deciding that it'd be best to take a lunch break, the brunette absent-mindedly set up a miniature picnic with a bowl of Pokemon vittles for Daemyn and Ulani, as well as a prepacked sandwich for herself; she sat there quietly, unconsciously brooding, as she watched 'Lani pester Daemyn persistently in the same manner. But the puppy was still in good spirits, and teased her just as much as she teased him, swatting at her cottony wings and managing to pin her down once or twice.
The scent of the Pokemon food was pretty potent, however, and it soon attracted some outside attention. . .

So deep in thought Mary-Anne was that she didn't hear the growling at first. The sound collected, growing louder and louder. . . Seeing Ulani's frightened expression, she whirled around to see four or five horned dog-like Pokemon staring at them rather viciously. M.A. blinked, whisking out her Pokedex -- "Houndoom, the Dark Pokemon. If you are burned by the flames it shoots from its mouth, the pain will never go away."
"Daemyn, can it be your pack?" she whispered; this wasn't exactly the meeting she had imagined, though. Daemyn stood before her growling in warning, while the other, larger Houndoom looked haughtily towards the food and distrustfully towards M.A. Maybe it wasn't them after all. . . They seemed pretty hostile.
A conversation of sorts went between Daemyn and the other Houndoom, through what sounded to M.A. like barks, grunts, and growls. Eventually, the little pup must've said something rather offensive, for one of the Houndoom was just about to charge at him angrily (and probably M.A. behind him as well), when a sharp bark stopped it in its track.
A female Houndoom emerged from the small group, growling savagely at the others; they pulled back immediately, subdued with their demon-like tails beneath their legs. The Houndoom pranced gracefully towards Daemyn, stopping a mere foot before him and glaring him down. . . M.A. bit her lip, not knowing what to do.
What happened next totally surprised her. Daemyn, with a yelp of joy, ran into the female Houndoom, who had knelt down and was fondling carressing the pup with her head and tongue. She growled softly, then leaned back and looked at him again, a long, longing look. Then, in the same way mothers do, she began to scold him. . . M.A.'s eyes widened. This is his mum!

"Double Slap Poliwhirl!" Matt cried. Poliwhirl raised one hand and began to viciously slap Sapphire in the face. If he weren't blue or any shades of dark colors, red marks probably could have been seen. Mitsu winced, but Sapphire held his grip. He blinked each time the Poliwhirl struck, but no other signs of pain. He really had developed his tough guy act. "All right Sapphire! Let's try out that Sunny Day!" Mitsu commanded. Sapphire let his grip go, jumping backwards and landing on his two hind feet first. He gave a sharp, loud Howl before the sunlight seemed even brighter. "Poli get in there with another Water Gun!" Matt directed seeing an opening as Sapphire beckoned the sunlight to grow stronger. Poliwhirl aimed his hands at Sapphire before releasing a small geyser of water at the Fire Pokemon.
The blue Houndoom winced, for once, as the stinging, ice-cold water hit its mark. Sapphire growled, if there was one thing that bugged him, it was the water. Well the water and Ebony. "Solar Beam!" Mitsu shouted. A golden orb began to form within Sapphire's mouth and was quickly released with little charge time thanks to the beams of bright sunlight that Sapphire had caused a mere few moves earlier. The attack struck on it's mark as the poor Poliwhirl had little time to evade it. The little amount of smoke the attack had caused soon cleared and a knocked out Poliwhirl could be seen. Sapphire barked, confirming his victory, before letting out a long and powerful howl.
Matt gave a rueful smile as he returned his fallen companion. "You haven't one yet," he called over before throwing forth another Pokeball. The red light soon materialized into a familiar figure. The sleek Vaporeon purred as it stretched. Mitsu bit her lip as another water Pokemon had been called forth and Sapphire would be at a disadvantage once more. Wasting no time she commanded Sapphire to use another Solarbeam. "Dodge," was all he said before the elegant Pokemon evaded the attack with grace. Mitsu soon remembered how agile Kasiya's Ariel was. This was going to be a tough battle. The gears in her mind began to kick into action brewing up some lovely strategies that soon were going to be needed. "Sludge Bomb Sapphire over there at your left!" Mitsu shouted pointing at a small patch of dirt. Sapphire had learned not to doubt Mitsu's awkward commands, but sometimes they just seemed utterly useless to him.
Mitsu grinned. No worries. I know what I'm doing. "Good job Sapphire!" Matt was equally as confused at the seemingly wasteful move but he had been battling long enough to know that it wasn't some stupid fluke that they had just pulled off. "Wash that away with a Surf!" Matt called out. Vaporeon turned her attention from the now tiring Sapphire and launched a wave at the puddle of sludge on the floor. "Perfect," Mitsu sang. "Again Sapphire! Solarbeam!" The sunlight was still strong, but it seemed a bit weaker than it had been before. The charge time was still quick and effective as he loosed another golden beam at the Vaporeon. "Watch out!" Matt cried. "Behind you!" The Vaporeon turned her head backwards and nimbly leaped out of the way, the Solarbeam completely missing. Mitsu gritted her teeth. This was going to be a tough one.

The pack might've attacked M.A. for trespassing, but Daemyn had apparently told his mother to hold them back, that she was a friend. So they grudgingly ignored her in entirety.
Daemyn ran about his brothers and sisters like a gleeful little pup, bumping into his mother who he had cried for for the first weeks after their separations. His father was apparently the head of the pack, having the longest horns that nearly raked his back; the lead Houndoom quietly watched his oldest son from the sidelines. Daemyn eventually went to his father as well, sitting tranquilly beside him respectfully with admiring eyes; the head would acknowledge him, even fondly patting him a few times -- his siblings watched in envy, for their father was an untouchable figure. And he was happy. . . so happy. . .
M.A. watched from the sidelines, feeling a tear between her feelings. Happiness flooded her as she watched her dear little Daemyn be happy, but her heart also felt as if it would burst. Memories flooded through her mind; how, at first, he had been so far from her. . . then, after the Murkrow incident, how they'd finally connected at long last; how he had looked up at her, how they fought together, how they laughed together, and so much more, from the little things to the big, that went beyond words. 'No matter where we go, you'll always be with me in here,' she had said that one time. . . And it was true. There wasn't a way she'd forget him.
The day went by. Daemyn continued to frolic with his pack, his heart on wings, for he was finally with his family again. . . Sometimes, he'd run over to M.A. and try to get her to meet his pack as well. However, the younger ones cowered from her and the older ones growled menacingly, warning her with their eyes to stay away. So, she sat where she was, simply. . . watching.
As the sun began its descent from the sky, she watched as the pack got ready to migrate to another area; it would be about time for her to leave, too, and her heart tore further. Daemyn looked confusedly between M.A. and his family, glancing back and forth. . . His siblings called for him to follow them, and his mother and father stood side-by-side, waiting patiently. "Go on, Daemyn," the brunette whispered hoarsely. "They're waiting for you. We'll. . . see each other again, too, y'know." He didn't move.
"Can't you see? They're waiting!" she nearly shouted, a disobedient tear sneaking over the dam and down her face. "You belong here. . . with your family. . . They want you. Get over there, you. . . you. . . mutt!" Mary-Anne was practically shrieking now, the dam of tears overflooding. She picked up a rock and threw it poorly at him through this veil of tears, missing by a few feet; he ran then, towards his father and mother, feeling threatened. But those tears. . .
Mary-Anne turned, about to leave. She wanted to whisk him away and take him back, but it wasn't right. . . He was so happy here, with his family. No, she wouldn't look back. She wouldn't ask him to stay with her. So she began to walk stubbornly, tears running freely down her cheeks.
Daemyn looked from his mother and father to 'his girl.' Memories of both groups flooded him, as they had flooded M.A. He remembered the good times with his parents and siblings. . . the fun, the hunting, the respect the pack had given him, the future pack leader. He remembered M.A.'s gentle patience, her care, her friendship and loyalty. He remembered. . . he had made her sad so many times, and that he wanted to protect that from happening again. . . In an instant, in an impulse, he knew what to do.
"Houndhound!" Daemyn suddenly barked, running down the hill after her full-speed. He caught up easily to the stumbling girl, pawing at her legs and demanding to be carried, looking up and smiling wolfishly as he did so. She cried even more, lifting him up into her arms -- tears of happiness, now. "Will you come with me?" she hoarsely whispered. He nodded, licking her chin and cheek.
Glancing over her shoulder, Daemyn saw his mother nod once. His father lifted up his regal head and howled; the pack in its entirety appeared behind him suddenly, silhouettes against the sun behind them, howling as well -- a howl in unison of good wishes, acceptance, and farewell. Then, they all disappeared without a trace. And though Daemyn felt the sadness of saying good-bye, he felt no regret.

Ky practically dashed to the front counter with his Pokemon. Even though he'd been walking for much longer than he ever had, the thought of another battle shot a dose of new energy into his system. Ky looked up at the nurse and froze. "Nurse... Joy?" Ky asked.
Nurse Joy just smiled; she knew Ky was a new trainer just from the look on his face. "Yep, I'm Nurse Joy," she said. "I'm guessing this is the first time you've seen two of the Joy sisters."
"Y...yeah," Ky said, handing her Little Guy and Sting. 'They're not just twins? There are more?' Ky thought. He shook his head to get rid of the confusion. "Please make sure they get a good rest; they're going to battle soon."
"No problem," Joy said, heading back with both Pokemon in her hands. Ky gave her their Pokeballs too, in case they wanted to go back inside. Ky then looked back to see Crenu walking up the steps in front of the Pokemon Center.

The two combatants continued fighting and seemed to be at a stand still. "Sapphire, return!" Mitsu called holding up his Pokeball. With a flick of her wrist she sent forth one of her most powerful and loyal Pokemon, her Ivysaur. "Let's do this!" Mitsu grinned, "Razor Leaf!" Five brilliant green leaves shot from the flowering bud on his back. Each leaf spun and they covered quite an area as they headed towards the Vaporeon. Proving to be as nimble and agile as before the Water Pokemon dodged each leaf gracefully. "Just as I thought," Mitsu murmured. She was going to shout out another attack but Matt had shouted first. "Use Quick Attack!" The Pokemon soon become a racing blue blur as it sped forwards. "Protect!" Mitsu shouted as she could feel her heart race.
A green barrier formed and surrounded Ivy. It looked like he had pulled the move off a million times, and Mitsu was quite impressed. "Get him with a Giga Drain!" Mitsu commanded as the barrier was let down. His olive colored vines lashed out as Vaporeon was making her swift retreat. She jumped to the left to dodge the right vine but was soon entangled within the left side. Vaporeon was visibly weaker after having more than a small chunk of her stamina being drained. "Nice!" Mitsu cheered.
"Vaporeon's not through yet!" Matt warned. "Ice Beam!" Once freeing herself from the attack she unleashed a chilling beam of crystal colored ice at Ivy. "Protect!" Mitsu shouted. The green barrier failed to appear as Ivy was caught in the small ice storm. His entire left side was now sporting a pretty, yet painful frost covered look. The Grass Pokemon winced; this was too cold for his liking. The Sunny Day that Sapphire had summoned helped melt part of the ice off before it vanished and the weather turned normal. "Toxic!" Mitsu shouted. Happy to obey, Ivy shot some poisonous looking spores at Vaporeon. The purple haze covered enough ground to have caught the Vaporeon. She coughed as she felt the poison course throughout her system. Ivy had effectively turned the speedy Vaporeon's advantage into her disadvantage. The more she moved the faster the poison would work its way into her system.

"Anyone ever told you you run to much?" Crenu entered the pokemon center and walked up to the counter, putting his two pekoballs on the counter. Nurse Joy walked into the room from the back and smiled at him.
"Another one? I'll take your pokemon now."
"Thank you Nurse Joy." He turned to Ky and smiled. "Hard to believe the resemblance isn't it?"

Ky gave a small embarassed smile. He never really meant to look hasty. It was just too easy for him to get excited. He watched Nurse Joy take Crenu's Pokemon and still looked in awe. "Exactly the same. Voice and everything," Ky commented.
He started to pace around, yawning. Outside, he noticed that it was starting to get dim as the sun made its way behind the trees. This saddened Ky a little, knowing that the battle would have to be postponed. 'It would be a good rest for Little Guy and Sting though,' Ky reasoned. 'And Crenu's Pokemon too.'
