So, some dickhead was meditating and somehow a peacock found it's way into his house. Said dickhead, decided it was a sign from a deity or spirit and decided to keep the peacock.
Naturally, people said he should really take it to a shelter, or at least research how to look after the thing because he -clearly- had no idea what he was doing and it's simply cruel. They also suggested that he should check that it was even legal to own such a thing in his area. They also raised a number of other points.
Dickhead had a hissy fit and flounced.

TeaDidikai Bastemhet Not by itself, no. If there is consent between the two people (or more?) that are doing the act, then that does justify it. That approach supports Frostian Child Molestation. They'd argue their children consented, that their legal rights to help determine a child's spiritual welfare justify their position. Well...then I will be more specific and say between two consenting adults. I figured this was obvious since I would never advocate sex between an adult and a child. confused

I'm almost curious as to which deity they thought the sign was from. To me it would be a sign of "Hoshit! That bird is going to crap in my house. My gods are telling me to keep the place locked up better so strange animals don't wander in!"

I for one would hope no one who didn't have the means to care for a peacock would keep it.

Poor animal sad I love animals of all kinds and I would hate to see such a beautiful creature in such poor conditions. Someone should call the animal shelter.

I take it.. "Sacrificeing it" is completely out of the question? ninja
I hear Peacock is delicious, but then again so is chicken. And everything taste like chicken.
Truthfully, Why would your first reaction not be to scoot the bird out the damn door?

whiporwill-o http://otherkin.wikia.com/wiki/Otakukin *facepalm* people actually believe this? wtf. Yes, yes they do. There was even a discussion in the ED about Otakukin, where a guy came in defending his "otherness", then I found the story about someone who's "otherness" justified their mental and physical abuse of their roommates and friends, which in turn led to someone else perpetuating the abuse to another group of roommates. The Otakukin community denies that the stories happened, and that it's not an indicator of the community as a whole. There's also soul-bonds, which otherkin talk about, which are body-less souls that attach themselves to people and can vary from "personalities" to "voices". Sometimes these soul-bonds are fictional characters.

I once went to one of their communities on LiveJournal, and one girl was talking about her past life as Rose Tyler.
