I just noticed and i may ber wrong but arent shotguns vey weak. I mean they have no AP and its has a single shot at strength 3. That is very bad isn't it?

Shotguns get two shots. Currently for the Dark Angels Chapter they count as Str 4.

Assault 2 is cool, and the new DA shotties are slightly better, but they still give even ORKS a save. wink

I guess Warhammer 40k breaks the tradition of shotguns being overly powerful in games.

They use manstopper rounds. I'm not sure whether they're changing Space Marine weapons in general, and the regular marines don't get it till the next update, or if it will just be a DA exclusive.

They use manstopper rounds. I'm not sure whether they're changing Space Marine weapons in general, and the regular marines don't get it till the next update, or if it will just be a DA exclusive.


There had better be a faq saying all marine chapters get that, thatd be pretty stupid if only Johnson knows where the ammo shop is. So basically the DA now what a slug round is.

And i agree with mykal, DA was stereotyped as plasma groupies. Theye even had a faq saying that DA could still have plasma cannon armed dreads after the new marine codex came out and whiped out dreadnought weapon options.

1. Well, they might not get he new manstopper rounds or sniper rifle with AP. However, it would be justified, as DA scouts now count as elites instead of trops.

2. The new space marine codex pretty much killed the plasma theme, as aside from the dreadnought, it's not that special to have a plasma cannon anymore. With the new assault cannon rules a lot of people seem to say nuts to the plasma cannon on a dreadnought though. But to sum it up, they had to branch off the plasma theme a bit and give them some new rules.

OK I asked this in a thread before not knowing to put it here, and it isn't in the blood angels codex, so if anyone has the flesh tearers rules, could you please tell me where to find them. My friendhad a copy he got from somewhere on the GW site but he couldn't remember where

I dont think they ahd any rules anyways. they had an entry that was pretty indepth, but i dont remember any rules.

They get death comapany dreadnoughts, a higher roll for death company meaning you get more, and a few restrictions I think
