Somehow, the thought is so strong from Fox that Arrow picks it up although he is sheilding. It nearly knocks him off his feet. "I know what you're thinking." he says, quietly, a little hurt about the thought. "ANd it's not like that either. I didn't go over to your house when you were upset about Wind because I wanted to get with you. I went over because I care about you. I care about you more than I've ever cared about any other person. I haven't slept with anyone since I discovered the depth of my feelings for you. Even when I thought I only liked Wind, there were still other men, but gaods Fox... as soon as I started feeling this for you, there was no one else. I want to be with you." he says. He sighs loudly and runs his hand through his hair again.
"I suppose that much is already obvious, but if you can't or won't be with me, then I still want to be your friend."

Fox is starting to feel ill. This conversation just isn't good. He also feels bad because of how hurt Arrow seems when he picks up the thought... Maybe he should have said it, because that might have been better than just having the scout pick it up.
It's around that time that the adept notices that they've created a bit of an audience, and he pulls NightArrow into the house and closes the door so they can have some privacy.
He leans back against the door a moment, trying to collect his thoughts, biting his lower lip while he does so, "I meant what I said earlier though, I don't want to date anybody right now."

Arrow says, he is also slumped against a wall, trying with everything he's got not to be a weakling and start crying. He tries to keep up his strength.

Arrow sighs and looks at Fox. "I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. I know that. I knew it then but I still acted like a royal jerk. It's just hard being with you and not.. being with you. y'know?" he sighs. "If I thought that I could have, I would have backed off Wind. If Wind had actually liked you, or was ready to be with someone and chose you, I would have backed off both of you, but the thought of being alone made me keep up the fight. It made me selfish, and I was selfish yesterday too."

"It may have been selfish but... I don't think it was unreasonably so. Everybody's a bit selfish sometimes, right?" Fox decides he doesn't want to stand anymore, even with the wall supporting him, and he goes over and slouches on the couch. The whole house is... almost freakishly clean.

Arrow slumps down. "SO does that mean we can be friends again?" he asks. He;s a little nervous about the answer, but he needs to ask anyway.

"Oh? Like what?" he asks, looking at his hand and noticing that one of his fingernails had cracked. He puts the finger in his mouth to see if he can remedy the crack by biting the nail off.

Arrow looks up. "I didn't think you wanted me here yesterday. I thought I should give you time to calm down a bit. So I got myself wasted and smoked like a fiend." he says, a little, sad smile on his face.
