The armored man walked into the Taven slowly and looked around ''..heh..'' He took a seat at a booth near the Bar area and started to read the scroll he held.

David looked at the clock on the wall. He couldn't stick around and mope much longer. He wanted to continue pursuing Turkey Buzzard, but Eva was also probably wondering where he was now. David groaned and got off his stool. He left the Tavern, leaving a few coins on the counter and taking his drink with him.

Renu's necklace flared as he was engulfed in a startling cloud of energy and taken from the Tavern, leaving his food on the counter.

Vii returned to her tavern through the back door that led into the kitchen. She banged around for a moment before emerging to the bar area again. The werewolf looked a little more worn and tired and her clothes were soiled but still in tact. She looked around for a moment before letting out a sigh and tossing the dirty dishes into the wash.

Wolf-girl, as she taken to referring to herself in the solitude of her mind stumbled over a rug and went skidding on her paws into a table. She'd been particularly clumsy today and it was no surprise why. Instead of sleeping she, found herself running naked through the woods that surrounded her establishment. Well, technically she hadn't been naked, or running for that matter. No, finally comfortable on all fours the wolf had been spotted loping jovially through the sporadic trees chasing anything that moved, even her own tail. But now she was lying on the worn wooden floor of the Vestal, staring at the broken bottles that had flown from her tray and shattered upon impact. ★★★★★★★

Remus strolled into the tavern. From the looks of the place, it hadn't seen much business in awhile due to the many events that had been going on. The Imperator sat down and ordered some coffee. The server seemed delighted to receive a tip.
Remus thought about the politics that had kept him away for awhile. Recently, the Imperator had formed some new military Orders similar to the knights of old. These new orders answered only to the Imperator and were completely independent of the regular military. This raised a few brows in the Senate, but the Imperator stood by his decision. With the new Orders in place, Remus' reach was much further than before.

Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day The sun is up, the sky is blue It's beautiful and so are you Dear Prudence won't you come out to play

Kaok sat in solidarity in the back of the empty Vestal. She sat in a booth, leaning forward with her elbows on the table. Her position was a comfortable one, and the book that she had in her hands was apparently incredibly interesting. The title (and presumably the contents as well) were written in her native tongue, something which made for ease of use.
Usually, she didn't have the time to read, or any interest. But the big letters on the front in her strange script called to her. She didn't see many books written in it, so she decided to check it out, regardless of the subject. It turned out to be a translation of a book in English. It was really quite an interesting account of a mute artist who fell in love with a blind woman. Apparently, a true story.Dear Prudence open up your eyes Dear Prudence see the sunny skies The wind is low the birds will sing That you are part of everything Dear Prudence won't you open up your eyes?

Remus wasn't aware of Kaok's presence and thought he was alone in the tavern. The Imperator pulled out a small device and placed it on the table. It switched on, and a holographic screen flickered. Remus sipped his coffee, touching the screen and watching various Roman entertainment networks. Occasionally he would go to the news, but it was always the same and he would quickly go back to watching a cartoon or sitcom.

The Lieutenant stifled a laugh, not at the comedic value of the shows, but rather the fact that they were being watched. She didn't look up from her book, but muttered under her breath (though a little too loudly).
"At least it isn't All My Gaians..."

Remus was a little startled but he quickly relaxed when he found that it was just Kaok. The Imperator smiled and turned down the volume on his holograhic device.
"Anything to take my mind off of current issues." he replied.

"True. And television is interesting, I suppose." The Faun flipped the page in her book, and smiled at a pleasant turn of events.
"But there's always reading." She mused idly.o r a g a r d e n g a t e o p e n i n g t o a w o r l d y o u n e v e r f o u n d .

((Sorry that took so long. Browser crashed.)) "I like to read as well, but unfortunately I always seem to fall asleep when I read. Even the most exciting books cause me to start nodding off." Remus replied.
"I usually save my reading for late evenings when I can't seem to fall asleep."

"Very rarely. If I'm not at war, I'm listening to the Senate drone on about why every decision I make is wrong." the Imperator laughed.
"I never thought about that, Kaok. Perhaps I should start doing that so I don't fall asleep before the climax." A perverse grin came over the Imperator's face at the realization of what he just said. He wondered if Kaok would catch it.
