An epidural is basically an injection of pain killer directly into your spinal cord. You usually have it during labor. They wont' do it if they have to stick the needle through/around tattoo ink.

Hmm, well I don't plan on ever having children. ^^
If momma di it without meds for me and my sis,. I can handle it too. She gave birth to my brother under pain killers, and that was my theory for him being so different form the rest of the family. ^^
