Kilin smiles softly as she carries three big bags of books with her through the city. She starts heading towards Central Park, after a full day of shopping in book stores she figures now would be good time to stop before she goes broke. She she crosses the street she notices a coffee shop, thinking of Dusk she starts to worry about whether he is okay or not, a frown starts to form on her face, she shakes her as if to knock the thought of of her head. She keeps walking slowly towards the park, looking at stores as she goes.

Nakura watched this happen from half a mile away, through the scope of his sniper rifle. But he knew better than to kill recklessley, not because of not knowing if they were a lycan. He could spot an immortal from a mile away, it was more about learning who they were. Not meeting them, but he wanted to know what good he was doing for the world.

He told himself this, but it was a lie.

He killed immortals all the time without a second thought, but this one, he seemed different...

Nakura got on his motorcycle, speeding down the street in the direction of the Lycan he could still see. When he got within a few hundred feet he stood up, letting the bike coast at 70 mph (and slowing). He drew a knife from his sleeve and threw it at the lycan on walking on the sidewalk, but it was not meant to kill, or even hit, it was a warning, because this looked like fun.

Nakura leaped off the bike and landed in a crouched position, his motorcycle slowing to a stop.

"An immortal that doesnt want to fight? Seems hard to believe, but I've seen it before. It doesn't work. Ever heard of the King's court?"

"The kings court was an alliance, I was part of it. The intentions were great, there were members of all races, hunters, vampires, lycans, even a few demons. But, nothing like that can work. It was disbanded after petty arguments ended in bloodshed. A hard memory, but one I will never forget."

Nakura puts his hand on the grip of his desert eagle.

"If you don't want to kill, then why did you do it mere minutes ago?"

"Well, life as an immortal can not have any will behind it. So consider this a favor."

Nakura drew his desert eagle and pointed it at the Lycan's forehead.

((I got to go. OOOOOO cliffhanger, lol.))

Nexus walked silently down the streets of New York, seeing the night owls looking up at him with their red-brimmed eyes. He shrugged them off, purposefully bumping his vanguards into them for looking at him strangely. I hate New York, he thought. But it was the only place he could be, the only place for revenge against the ancient evil what killed the only things he loved. He tucked his collar up against the bitter cold - the icy wind that blew toward him. He suddenly heard the cry of a dying man from a park to the east, and turned his attention that way. As he heard the screeching of tires and the dark, breathy voice, he hurried toward the scene to see a man he had once met pointing a gun at another, and knew he must be an immortal. He released the sickle-blades from their clasp with a muffled click and crept forward. Suddenly the form of the other man changed with a wisp of shadow into a dog-like mantle, and Nexus flinched back, keeping his blades ever-ready for a battle.

Nexus turned around to see only a flash of red and white. The vampire's bloodstained teeth plunged into the hard leather of his vanguards, catchign his attacker off guard. He turned with a sweeping motion and delivered an attack from both of his sickle-weapons, one to the shin and one to the stomach, effectively eviscerating his pursuer. He knew this would not be enough to stop an immortal however, and as the vampire let out a satanic hiss he reached for his beretta, which was loaded with half silver nitrate and half UV bullets. He knew this fight would not last long with his attacker on such a bloodrage to attack even an obvious hunter, but he did not know who would emerge from it alive.
