Sephriea didn't say anything in response to his question, instead the silver-haired warrior just sighed. There was no hope for this one! "Moving on..." Moving on to a slightly awkward situation, that was. She was no expert in the act of kindness or gratitude. She knew how to be kind, of course, thanks to having a mother like Aerith. She just choose not to be, most of the time! Still, she couldn't be cold to him. "...Um..." Sephriea glanced away for a moment, looking off to the side as she rubbed the back of her neck. "...Thank..you.." Then an idea came to mind, her attempt to break the awkwardness. "...Cuter then..Tina? " She would enjoy hearing a positive comment on that, though she didn't think about how it could actually backfire and make things even more awkward though! One thing was for certain, if she and Tina ever got eyes for him at the same time, she would have leverage to use against her to get under her skin more! Yes, Tina and Sephriea were kind of rivals in some odd way. Always in competition! "Yeah, that place.Uh, how much about this city do you know about, anyway?" "Is that so? Well, these people are probably all idiots anyway. You don't need to converse with people like that. " Apparently, he needed to hang around someone like her, the dullest soul on the planet. "..Haha..I have a feeling you will come to regret that offer." Well, they were both terribly skilled in one way or the other when it came to socializing, it was possible some good could come from such a friendship, both could gain better social skills, not that Sephriea wanted to! "I do best on my own, with limited attachments, you know, the less to distract or put in danger....but, if you feel so strongly about this...It might not be so terrible to give it a try.."

As she thanked him oh-so-awkwardly, Reiner tilted his head, apparently puzzled. "Whatever for?" Yes, it was in-line with his overwhelmingly genuine personality that he didn't even think of what he was saying as a compliment. It was more of a statement of the obvious as far as he was concerned. As she asked for a comparison, though, Reiner paused, his face reddening suddenly. Well, it seemed like asking for a comparison like that framed the entire thing so differently--perhaps made him realize exactly what it was that was being discussed. "Th-that's difficult..." He wasn't a very nervous person most of the time, so this was quite the interesting sight. He put a hand to his chin, as if in contemplation for a moment. She had asked for his honest opinion, he couldn't just not answer! "Physically speaking, you're both incredibly appealing--that much is obvious. But I must admit, I am wildly charmed by your tsundere personality. I don't think I've ever met a girl with such a cute personality!" One had to wonder where he even learned a word like that. It wasn't exactly an inapt descriptor, though... "Next to nothing!" He responded with a level of enthusiasm that perhaps didn't match the context. Unsurprising, though... He blinked at her reaction--that seemed a rather simple way to view things. He didn't know that he could look at it in such a black and white way, but he did appreciate the sentiment behind her words. "Unlikely!" He said simply at her musing that he would regret what he said. When was the last time he had ever regretted anything? ...Maybe fighting Erina. He still cringed thinking about that humiliating, utter defeat at her hands. "I do!" He insisted that he felt so strongly about this. "That's the spirit! I can already tell our bond will transcend the ages and pierce the heavens!" Maybe stuff like this was why nobody wanted to be his friend. "Besides, you have little to worry about in terms of putting me in danger. I can handle myself well enough." She saw a small glimpse of that when he fought the Reaper before. "And if you don't believe me, we could always have a match against each other! If you don't mind losing!" He grinned at that. He seemed to have inherited that fighting spirit from someone. Whoever could that be? Last time he fought a girl he was very attracted to--Tina--it did not go well for him. It was probably the quickest defeat he had ever experienced. But... that was because of her outfit! If he fought Sephriea, surely it would be different!(( OOC: ))

Sephriea was a little puzzled this time, but she just shook it off with a little shrug of her shoulders. Her social skills were still in development! Gods, sometimes she was just as bad if not worse then her father. But according to Reiner here, she was very much far from being anything like him when he added the word cute to her personality! "I don't know how you think anything about me is cute. I don't do cute, you know. Most would say my personaility is dull and cruel. You on the other hand think it's cute? I'm so confused right now...should I find that a good thing, or an insulting thing? " Probably sort of good, it seemed to up Tina a little. He only did say she was appealing, not cute. What the heck was she thinking, anyway?! Like she would be happy about hearing such a thing! She should probably wipe that smile off her face she didn't know crept it's way there without her consent! "...A-Anyway...I'll try to be a good guide and show you the basic area's, if you aren't bored by then and you want to see more, i'll show you the better shops and places to eat.." Which to her, sounded a little boring. What guys wanted to go into shops? They seemed more likely to avoid them if they could! Sephriea paused a moment, blinking at his next set of fancy words, they clearly went right over her head! "...Or the heavens will descend to warn you to stay away from me.. " She said with a tiny smirk, leave it to Sephriea to ruin his cute moment! "So you say, though you don't exactly know my enemies. One nearly destroyed the world, and it took Cloud and his friends to take it down. That's a whole team of super skilled people." Of course she blamed everything on Jenova, and Hojo, but he was out of the picture as of lately. Jenova was clearly still alive. Sephriea's face fell into a small brief smirk. "I wouldn't lose, little prince. Though I think we sh--" Her words came to a sudden stop, as a young woman's voice only Reiner would recognize broke in. His mother's voice could be loud even when she wasn't yelling! "Reiner..! " She shouted out, stopping a moment to catch her breath. "La'riah..You two..! Could you not be so impossible to find?" This city...it was a NIGHTMARE! How incredibly lost she had been this whole time. "Have you seen your father? I have looked through out this terrible city, and I have not seen a sign of him anywhere. I have a terrible feeling something's happened..." Call it lovers intuition, but she could feel something was off, and it really didn't feel her heart with any form of warmth, just a ton of worry. "You''re aunt is looking for him as well, though I lost sight of her in the middle of becoming so lost.." She was probably most likely lost too, how sad..

L'Arachel's search may of ended up in her becoming lost in the massive city of Midgar, but it didn't compare to Eirika's upcoming luck, as she found herself standing in front of two very large red elegant doors. This just happened to be the welcoming entrance of the Honeybee Inn. Indeed it was very welcoming, what with the two men who stood 'guard' at the doors, looking very much like some form of security. That was the only thing that kept her from being suspicious of the place, it also didn't help that her mind was so set on finding her brother, she didn't pay as much attention to the area's she was going through. As she was allowed inside, she was led down the hall to a large open room, which was completely empty at the moment, aside from the two men previously at the door who lead her there. "....You have seen him here..? " She questioned them again, the more she looked around the area and it's decor, the more she came to realize such a place didn't fit for her brother's interest. Why in the world would he come to a strange place like this? "Hey man, this is the best looking one yet." One of the men said, followed by another a moment later. "Clearly! When was the last time a beautiful woman came in here?" "A beautiful woman, who looks like she could use our help to remove all that armor. Especially that weapon.." And it was at this moment, she realized her mistake. Especially when one of them decided to put his hand where it didn't belong. "Oh, look...It's pervcicles! " A oh-so familiar voice chimed in from the doorway as Erina stood there with a rather frightening confidant grin, her blue wand glistening at the tip where the sparkly stone of cold doom was. Behind her was a trail of freshly frozen perverts, only to have more on the way, those that were in the room with her mother would all find their-selves growing VERY cold, in seconds they would be covered into an icy tomb. "Hahaha!!! This is my best work! Should I snap his hand off?! I think I should! " One day, she would be a super villains nightmare. Heck, she already was everyone that annoyed her's nightmare. Especially those who messed with her family, there was no holding back then! She was totally confidant she had brought them down swiftly, until the sound of heavy footfalls could be heard in a hurry from several area's of the building. They seemed to be getting closer. "Alright, you pervy insects. I'll freeze each and everyone of you! " One thing was for certain, the men here had some kind of terrible luck. First, beaten by AERITH and Tifa some years ago, and now an eight year old child with a serious love for freezing things that annoyed her.

___ ___ _________ ___ ___ "We face the king of demons, the monster that once ruled all Magvel. He's more powerful than any one of us here. But we have something that beast will never have. We have community, friendship, love... We have all the virtues of humanity. That is our weapon. That is our strength. Is everyone ready? We're going to win." It was strange to part with Krul on such good terms, after all of their battles and attempts to kill the other. Ephraim wondered if she indeed was changing for the better--perhaps one day he would be able to count her among his allies. Or maybe she was only becoming more soft towards him... But what would that mean? For them, for where they stood... it was difficult to say. Regardless, she had not only not left him to die, but also healed his fatal wounds and saved his life. It was something he wouldn't soon forget, even if he had protected her similarly in their battle against Velora. While he appreciated his life, it was still true that his clothing was completely disheveled and he was still covered in blood. It might be... alarming to show himself in front of L'Arachel like this. He had to take a short detour through a shop and buy a rather over-the-top cloak to hide himself from the neck down. He had noticed, obviously, that the Reapers had been expelled from Midgar, otherwise he wouldn't be worried about something so trivial. Making his way out now and towards where the small group that included his family members was, Ephraim cleared his throat a bit, feeling a bit uncomfortable drawing attention to himself right now. With this big cloak covering himself, he felt a bit... silly. And looked rather suspicious. "So this is where you all were..." He said, as though he had been here the whole time. He didn't want to worry them unduly."Father!" Reiner smiled. "You see, mother? Everything is fine! He... er..." Reiner blinked. "What... is that you're wearing, father?""Oh, this...?" Ephraim responded with a bit of nervousness in his voice, trying to act so casual as though it wasn't even worth mentioning. "It's... a Halloween costume. Yes. That." What an excuse. Who would ever fall for that?"Ah, of course! A vampire. Classic!" Reiner, apparently. Reiner wasn't dumb at all, but things tended to go over his head rather frequently. "Father, this is Sephriea! She's going to show La'riah and I around Midgar, and then we're getting ice cream!" Sephriea really wasn't getting out of that, was she."It's good to see you, Sephriea. I'm glad you're well." Obviously they had met. Ephraim had been in this world for years, and had dealt with Avalanche on more than one occasion. "I hope my son isn't causing you too much distress...""What is that supposed to mean?! She's having a fabulous time! Aren't you?" The look he gave her may have been a difficult one to deny."Relax, Reiner. Anyone would be lucky to be your friend." Was that true? Hard to really say, given how eccentric the prince could be. "Still... first Tina, now Sephriea. Impressive." Ephraim said that more so to himself. He himself had never been much of a lady killer, needless to say--his understanding of women was so pathetic it was almost remarkable. He still had no idea Tana had ever had feelings for him, and when L'Arachel literally proposed to him at the end of the war, he completely misinterpreted it at first. It was... certainly one of his weaknesses. But it seemed as though Reiner was having quite an easy time befriending the fairer sex. "Anyhow... are you doing alright, L'Arachel? No injuries? Reiner, La'riah? Sephriea?" They all seemed fine, but it was better to make sure."It'll take a lot more than a few Reapers to stop us, father! And a lot more than some completely NOT scary undead, am I right Sephriea?" He nudged her lightly. "She's the bravest girl I've ever met, father! Not scared of undead at all! In any way!""...Good for her." Poor Sephriea. She should really just abandon Reiner at this point. (( OOC: ))

L'Arachel practically jumped out of her skin, here she was, standing here so worried about Ephraim, only to have him so causally standing there as if he had been there the whole time! "Ephraim! What is this, do not tell me you rushed off to fight those creatures on your own? " What else was she to assume? He was missing during the entire invasion, and suddenly just like that, they were gone, and here he was! Very suspicious! ....But what was more suspicious then that? The goofy looking over-the top cloak he had wrapped around himself. "...Did you become one of them?" That part was kind of a bad joke, he looked like a vampire, Reaper's were vampires and just loved to bite and turn everyone into them! "Suspicious...I will have you remove that cloak! " She paused a moment.. "Do I want you to..You...you have a shirt under that, don't you?!" One could almost see the amusement on Sephriea's face. She never really seen the couple together, and already it was becoming pretty clear they were quite the interesting pair. "......" Oh this awkward feeling, was she supposed to say something nice in the presence of Reiner's father? It's not as though Ephraim didn't know her, as they would hear when he spoke to her. "..Um...yeah..." Perfection, score! She couldn't even finish with a sarcastic comment as those little green puppy-dog eyes stared at her. "..Fantastic time.." Her left eye twitched a little at Reiner's next words, he really didn't know when to hush! "...Do you still want that tour? " He was so slow, he probably wouldn't even catch her meaning as a threat! "...Though really, it does look like you guys have some catching up to do...Midgar won't run away, if you want the tour later after you've had time with your family, we-- ".." Her words were ended abruptly, when she noticed what so creepily was just standing there, directly behind Ephraim. "Uhh...Thana?" "....." Ephraim would finally feel the slight tug of his new possession, that silly looking cloak. "..You smell...." She tugged on it again, this time a little harder, as though she were trying to get it off! "....Yummy..." She was certainly not like her mother, but when someone came in smelling SO strongly of blood...it tended to have the very affect anyone would expect for a Reaper! Though she didn't appear to be trying to actually do anything, or attack him. For Thana, this was like starring into a store window at something she really, really wanted to eat. But didn't get to! The presence of Thana showing up could prove to be some kind of good pointers to keep in mind, too. All Reapers were like sharks, they could smell the scent of blood from miles and miles away! So the question could linger, would there be anymore, less friendly ones showing up? "...You're mean......for teasing Thana..." She gave him a rather pathetic, almost pouting look. "..Go clean! No more blood.." She so obviously wanted him to go shower, the smell was starting to get her a little to anxious! But he wouldn't get the chance to even say much, before that cloak he had so well set around himself was pushed back to reveal his...not so armored chest, a very blooded chest with only bits of what remained of his shirt."....What....!!!?!? What in the world happened to you!? Who did this?! " Well, this would certainly explain that worried feeling she had earlier. She knew something was off, but never did she expect to see this! "Let me heal you!" "I think he's already healed..." Sephriea broke in. "..That amount of blood, he wouldn't be standing if he wasn't....so, then...are you going to tell us what happened now? " Good job Thana. Not even Ephraim could hide his big secret from the young Reaper!

We're going to win." "What? L'Arachel, would I ever do something so reckless?" ...Yeah, definitely not. Ephraim was never reckless. Certainly not! "What better to dress as for the season than a Reaper? Most fear them, after all." He realized how flimsy this excuse was, why in the world would he have been Halloween shopping during a Reaper invasion? Still... he didn't exactly have time to weave a convoluted tale, and he didn't want to stay away from L'Arachel and cause her undue worry for too long. He raised an eyebrow at her next words. Ah, that certainly called to mind a shared memory between the two, as was obvious when she continued speaking. "Hmm... Do I?" Perfect, a reason to dissuade her from wanting to remove the cloak. All he'd need to do is... travel all the way back to Marvel with it on, never removing it, and then finally excuse himself at their home to change. A foolproof plan! Yeah, he didn't have much time to think this all through... "I suppose you'll just have to remove it to find out... If you think you can handle it." That should stop her from requesting he remove it anymore. And it wasn't exactly a lie, as he hadn't confirmed or denied anything. As the topic of discussion moved on, Ephraim breathed a silent sigh of relief. He'd rather not worry them, which perhaps wasn't the proper approach, but Ephraim had always been the type to keep things from others and shoulder the burden for things himself. Taking the role of an older brother to Eirika had made him that way. Though they WERE twins, their relationship was very much one of older brother/little sister, and always had been. L'Arachel knew this about him, though he knew he needed to let her in more. ...Still, it was difficult. He had been this way his entire life. Lowering the walls he placed around himself was not something that would come naturally to him. Feeling his cloak tugged on pulled him out of his mind, however, as he turned, lowering his head to the little Reaper. "..." He raised an eyebrow. This was one of Krul's children, he believed. He didn't recall who her father was, but it was nice to see she had escaped out from under the once-queen. Though it did seem Krul was changing somewhat, so who knew? Maybe she'd make up with her someday. "I think you have the wrong person..." He said in a deflection attempt, as though she weren't just smelling the blood on him. He wouldn't have much of a chance to continue to deflect though, as he felt his cloak being removed as his attention was on the little Reaper. "?!" He turned his face back to his green-haired lover, who had apparently closed the distance between them swiftly. "...Surprise?" Mission failed, it seemed. Inspecting his body again now, he was reminded just how awful he looked in terms of blood, destroyed clothing, and wounds. He had to rip his shirt apart in the moment to cover said wounds, but it certainly didn't help his look much here. "Relax, L'Arachel..." Why even say that? As if it would be easy for anyone tor relax at seeing something like this. Oh, well. It seemed he'd need to provide some explanation. He couldn't exactly just brush off their concerns after seeing the state he was in. He was still intensely sore, too. Krul had managed to close his wounds and saved him from imminent death, but it wasn't the most comforting healing in the world. Still, he was not about to complain. "...Before the invasion began, I was taken to the Reaper Realm. According to their queen, Velora, I was taken there because she considered me the greatest threat to her invasion. They attempted to detain me, but I managed to escape." He would leave out the part about Trinity... He'd rather not think about that anyway, just remembering the smug look on her face was aggravating. Still, he did what he had to do. "During the invasion, I was in the realm. I ran across Krul, who offered to help me. I can't explain her motivation, but she wasn't trying to deceive me. Perhaps she's changing, but... regardless... she informed me of the situation here in Midgar. Upon learning that they were disabling those who went against them, I decided we needed to destroy what machinery they had, hoping it would free those who had been captured. I don't know if it worked, but it seems they've been expelled, so it must have done something." Indeed, all those who had been incapacitated were freed thanks to Ephraim and Krul destroying that machinery. And Alisa being freed was what led to the Reapers being sent away, and the invasion ending. "We then confronted Velora herself, and I engaged her in combat. It was a fierce and bloody battle, as you can see, but I did defeat her in the end. I was in a bad state after the battle, but Krul chose to heal me. She could have left me to die, or even killed me herself." That was perhaps the biggest indication to him that she was changing--to some extent, at least. She had attempted to kill him the last time they met before this, using Athena at the time to do it. He crossed his arms after he finished his explanation. "Let it be known: Velora is not someone to be taken lightly. I managed to defeat her, but it was close. Had things gone just a bit different, I may not be standing here, and Midgar may be under Reaper occupation. She's powerful and cunning, and fiercely determined to see her goal realized." That determination was perhaps the thing that shone through the most--she was so motivated to see her conquest through to the end. She believed that she was in the right more than anything else--Ephraim could tell that much. "She wants a world where Reapers are treated with the same compassion as humans and Serenitians..." He closed his eyes, letting out a small sigh through his nose. "I wonder if such a world is so unobtainable without her conquest." He would like to believe it was, but Krul hadn't exactly left a very sterling reputation for Reapers. He understood why Velora had taken to such an extreme course of action. Still, perhaps there was something to be done to stop her nonviolently... Opening his eyes and uncrossing his arms, he shook his head. "Well, regardless of if it is or isn't, Velora believes her path is just, and that there are no other options. Of that I'm certain." It would take something far more significant than words to even begin to convince her that another path to her ideal was open. "...So yes, I am fine. Now will you relax, L'Arachel?" Considering how exposed his torn shirt left him, he was somewhat surprised she didn't freak out over it, but this WAS a serious situation. Besides, they were lovers now, so she'd surely get over that in time, right? ...Probably. They DID have children in the future, so that was a good sign. "I apologize for not being upfront, but I'd rather not cause you undue worry." Still treating her much like he treated Eirika, as though she were someone who had to be protected, both physically and emotionally. Still, he had a hard time doing otherwise... (( OOC: ))

Her response to those words was a rather stern look, the kind of look that could burnt into his mind for eternity, should he ever try to do something dangerous without his friends to help. "Hmph, is that so..the very Reaper's that have caused you and s many people so much trouble? I hardly believe they need to be mimicked as some entertainment form. They are evil creatures, as far as I see it. " The Siege of the city didn't exactly fill L'Arachel with warmth for them. "...You....you mistaken this situation..." She tried to cover up her nervousness as the topic came to her removing his cloak, though her voice was obvious enough. "I can, this is a serious moment. I will not let the possibility of your bare chest stop me from seeing the truth! " Gosh, did she ever sound silly. "You are hiding something, and I will find out!" She did sound very determined, but....the red on her face wasn't helping her brave talk. Butt it seemed a little luck strolled on the way. In the form of a young Reaper. Didn't she just call them evil? ...Yeah....It all fell apart quickly from there for the suspicious Ephraim there, And before he knew it, his cloak was gone, and he would finally spill his secret. What she would hear was..difficult to believe. Krul, the very Reaper who took him against his will in the past, was now jumping to save him? ...Something was very off about this one. So many red flags went off in her head about that, but..right now, she would try not to think about it. "Not a thing about this makes sense.I don't know what to think about any of this, you being in so much danger, and I was unable to be there for you...I can't stand that feeling." "What a messed up girl! What daughter could ever try to take the life of her father? She's deranged! I'm gonna teach her a lesson one day! " La'riah chimed in, one day, a long, long time from now. If she ever got into learning how to use a weapon or battle, which seemed pretty impossible, but who knew. She was a pretty wild spirited girl who loved to try new things. "She's working on a dream if she hopes they will get any form of compassion after what she did. Stupid! "L'Arachel sighed, looking at him seriously. "You cause me triple the worry, searching all over this crazy city for you! If you truly wish to not cause me worry, then I need you to be upfront with me, about everything! ...I....I also need you to put back on this cloak! " She draped it over him suddenly. Yes, it was a serious situation, but she also knew, now, he was okay. The sight was unpleasant. And it wasn't just about the exposed chest, seeing all the blood covering him from his previous battle only angered and upset her more. "...........Um, were going to have to take a rain-check on that tour, guys...I can see you clearly need family time. Surly that is far more important then a tour of a filthy city...it can wait. " Sephriea broke in finally, snatching Thana's hand and before they could say anything, Sephriea and Thana vanished from the area.

".....Gosh, i'm starting to feel really silly...Where are you LILY?!! ? " Getting all dressed up like this was fun and all, but it was also very embarrassing walking the streets all alone, and a little to creepy for her enjoyment. She really wanted to see all her family having fun, dressed up and making the best of the day, but instead she got a whole lot of disappointment.. Especially for Lily, who always loved to dress up in some crazy costume for Halloween, to be completely gone from the city wasn't normal. Maybe she went somewhere else to enjoy the festivities without telling her? Ariel was completely unaware of what happened at the mansion during the failed invasion..maybe if she knew that, she probably wouldn't be doing this and would actually be out looking for her troubled daughter.."Should have gone to Gold Saucer...." She sighed heavily, this was dreadfully boring...
So boring that she had to end iit, and return home to change..then find Unisha so they could look for Lily..

Vashear Nox

Vashear walks up to the massive pillar holding the city into the sky, he sighed able to sense and even hear all the activity happening well above him, his biochromatic aura still there. he lifted his placed his hands over the cloth wrapped around his wrists "Act as my hands and grab that which I can not" his aura entered his body through a deep breath, then left through his lips as he exhaled wrapping around his arms then slipping into the cloth. Vashear screeched out his fingers and the cloth unrifled revealing 5 ribbons of the cloth wrapped around one on his wrist on each hand, each ribbon mimicked one of his fingers. He reached out testing his grip with it on some of the debris laying around him struggling a little with lifting a chunk of metal and tossing it using his cloth hands.
Vashear focused once again knowing how suisidal what he was about to do was. He took a long moment to focus showing his biochromatic aura once again. Vashear's hand pressed against his pants leg. "Brace me" and once more the aura went in as he breathed, out his lips then down and out around his arm and into his pants. The pants legs wrapped tightly around his legs.
Now thinking he was ready for a long climb he reached up and dug his cloth fingers into cracks and holes of the metal climbing up, he could hear the some kids behind him taking bets on how far he would get before he fell, but he didn't care and continued on, his wrists starting to hurt before he got to the disk he found a large hole where a plate of metal has fallen out and sat there for a brake. he admired the view, he could see his ship in the distance. His attention quickly changed to the inside of the pillar, The loud sound of a train coming up started him causing him to slip out of his resting place, but luckily he caught himself with one of his cloth fingers and was able to pull himself back up. through the whole ordeal he could hear the cynical laughter of his blade in his head, to think something that scared a man that's lived for hundreds of years, fought in a wars, lead an army was afraid of a loud noise like a little child.
Vashear got up just in time to watch the large metal serpent (train) slither past at an astonishing speed. "So, ether falling from a tower larger then a mountain, or running around dealing with dragons.... horrible choices." he thought aloud and decided to go into the pillar and run along with the tracks, thinking it would be a more likely way to reach the top, sadly he had no idea how this place worked or how much easier things would be if he did know.
He ran along the tracks for some time thinking it was nearly endless, though he finally found the light at the end a train stop, he rushed out looking up at the smog filled sky and sighed. "Two new towns in a row, and both have this stuff in the air, and people.... where the hell did we land?" he asked himself. he tucked his cloth fingers back into the wrapping around his wrists, and loosened his pants legs removing the awakening he had done to them.
Vashear followed along with some of the crowd seeing where they were going, they went into a shopping district, and Vashear's eyes kept wondering around like a kid in a candy shop, lights everywhere, the smell of strange and exotic foods everywhere. He stopped at a stand and looked through the menu seeing what they had and wondering what seemed good.... given he only had pictures to look at for he didn't understand the language or even the text it was written in, he pointed at a slice of chocolate cheese cake, "I'll take one of those." he said, curious about what it was, and how it tasted, he tossed the lady behind the counter a silver coin, and she gladly quickly got him a whole chocolate cheese cake and placed it on the counter, still wrapped in it's clear plastic case. Vashear cracked the case open and pulled out a slice before closing it back and going for a walk through the market marveling at all the bright lights, and strangely wonderful smells.

Midgar had come a long way, becoming less gloomy when it came to the Christmas season, fully lighted in colorful twinkling lights throughout the city, along with the massive Christmas tree that everyone seemed to gather to. There standing in front of the lovely lit tree was Hina, her eyes closed and hands clasped in a prayer motion. How many Christmas's would go by, and her wish never be granted? She wasn't expecting anything to happen, but she would also never give up hope completely. Some may call her overly obsessive, but she would just ignore such comments and continue her never ending search for someone who clearly was never going to show. Sighing softly, she lowered her hands, opening her eyes as she took a step away from the tree. She really needed to find some cheer, it wasn't in her nature to be so down. What was there to do, when most of the events going on in the city were for young children? There was not a lot for older teenagers!
[[ ooc: Sorry, such a terrible post. Brians dead since the guilds been dead. No brain power. Lol. It'll get better hopefully once more idea's gather. ]]

Vashear Nox

Vashear's mind continued to wonder from one light to another, he went from one shop to another marveling at all the strange creations this place had to offer, he happened to wonder into an electronics store and his attention went everywhere, small boxes on the walls putting out music which he thought was something that only minstrels and bards could do, which gave him a few ideas for changing up his ship or at least his cabin in it. His eyes shifted across the room and he became mesmerized by a television, a large flat box that held moving images on it. He looked around and saw several younger kids watching it as well, apparently they were doing something to it as they had controllers in there hands. Thinking there wasn't going to be anything else to marvel at in here he saw smaller versions of the Tv and thought he'd try to barter for one, since his form of coin wasn't the same as this world he attempted to figure out how much his was worth, since it was 1 silver for a full cheese cake... but she looked overly happy about it when he payed for it he knows he was over charged by a good margin. He left paying 4 silver based off the reaction of the man behind the counter he still over payed, but he had plenty of coin to spare. he placed the phone in his inside jacket pocket thinking of fiddling with it later on.
Vashear continued along, clearly there was some kind of celebration, though he knew nothing about it, closest thing he could figure was the winter solstice festival, though it was a few days late. He thought for a long moment thinking of a way to help contribute to the festival... but his attention kept changing around the area, where he saw a stand filled with paper, and origami, something that he did occasionally for fun on the ship, a little hobby he took up during the long war to clear his mind. He took a few bundles of the paper and found a slightly quiet area away from the people. His hands moved almost like lightning as he folded 100 birds. Each bird he folded started to make his biochromatic aura show more and more. Having finished his last paper bird his aura was quite large and would cover a few feet around him in each direction.
Walking back to the market area with his aura being nearly impossible to miss he walked towards the well light up tree, holding all the paper birds in his arms, he forgot about his cheesecake. Vashear walked right past the gloomy girl (Hina) bumping his arm against hers as he looked back with a childish grin. He took a deep breath and his biochromatic aura faded into his body once more. "Fly." He said, as he spoke his aura circled around his arms, took into the birds making the color of them all change slowly, there wings twitching Vashear tossed them out and they started to circle around the tree. He kept one and tossed it to Hina, the paper bird circled around her. How could anyone be so gloomy in a place with such wonders? He thought to himself. Guess I could figure something out about the area even though she's a little young. Vashear placed a hand on her shoulder, looking down at her. "What do you do around here for entertainment?" he asked. Clearly his little display had gotten the attention of several younger kids that were near by.
((O.O.C. It's all good it's been years since I posted along with someone else ))

Hina's eyes opened to see...something rather spectacular. Now, it wasn't just the giant Christmas tree glowing with all the most radiant colors, it was a older man who she thought 'captured' all the colors of the lighting and radiated it on his body. Yeah, she was a little slow and had quite a strange imagination sometimes.".....Wooow!!" She was also a child at heart, just about anything could festinate her. Not only did he have this mysterious aura of color surrounding him, but he caught the attention of just about everyone there as the many paper-birds started to flap and fly around the Christmas tree. "That's amazing...they're so cute!" Was she just gloomy a second ago? Yeah, that was long forgotten and for once, out of her mind at the sight of all the paper birds flying. "How did you do that? " She had to resist trying to 'pet' the one now flying around her. It may of been just paper, but to Hina, it was completely adorable! "You must be a-m-a-z-i-n-g with magic! " She smiled, pausing a moment to think. "..Um, entertainment...Midgar doesn't have a whole lot of fun, actually. There's complications that come with this city, like roaming monsters in many area's of the slums..No one in authority like ShinRa even try to improve anything. I don't think they like peace and fun! " She frowned, realizing she wasn't exactly helping matters by making Midgar look like the worst place in the world! "...Though, there are some nice area's...like the church, but I wouldn't exactly say that's a form of entertainment..."

Vashear Nox

Vashear gave a little smirk "Amazing, really? Doesn't paper do that where your from?" Trying to play it off like it was just a normal thing. "It's always been alive, I merely gave it a little direction." He chuckled a little watching her resist an urge to do something she wanted to, It reminded him of his young squire a bit. As he listened to her words it did give him a name for this place to say the least, and a monster problome.... well he was once considered one several times over with the amount of blood he had on his hands, so maybe it was bandits, or demi humans since he didn't see.... any around here, which was a good thing he didn't bring his crew along for this adventure. All that and it simply told him that the ones in charge were simply lazy, or possibly short on man power or supplies. "I see, though I'm sure it's not that bad, after all, look at the light show here." then again he had little knowledge of this worlds technological advancements which clearly out done his worlds by far. "Not much of a place for entertainment, but they do have there marvel's. What god's do you worship there?" He asked this one answer could enlighten him to a lot about this place.
One of the kids that had gathered around accidently bumped into the cloth covered katana on Vashear's back, though for merely a moment the child fell back in pure terror as if he had just seen his every nightmare come to life before his eyes, attempting to turn around to help the frightened child the kid ran away, and his sword momentarily tapped Hina's hip... but it would feel like an eternity, it would try to tempt her with unbelievable powers, trying to enhance any fear, or doubts she had in this world, trying to make her think everyone was pure evil, it even shown her a vision of the man who now had his back turned to her.... walking through a burning village, dressed in rag, with a old rusty sword killing everyone he saw on sight, even a child that looked to be no more then 6 years old getting her limbs sliced off for running, and left there to blead out, Vashear approached her with a smirk and sliced clear through where her neck would be. the moment the blade would have passed through her neck the vision faded away. Everything was as it was just before the vision. Vashear sighed, "That's... not good." Vashear thought aloud his back still turned to the girl
