Rose secretly wished her parents were that easy.
"Well young lady?"
"Something....came up....plus, I started to feel really crappy. Shuuichi was just worried about me. Don't get upset at him, aunt Shiori."
"You look fine to me. And besides, it's still no reason. Nor is Andrew Willis."
Her father frowned as she twitched at the name, and balled her hand into fists.
"Why....CAN'T YOU TRUST ME? Why can't you believe me when I said I had a good reason?!"
"Because you're only 17! You're not 18 yet! You're still a kid! And you're still under our protection!"
"Oh!? So you you're mad because you'd get in trouble with the government if something bad happened to me?! Some kind of love! I knew I should have left when I got my powers all the way back!"
She screamed out, a few tears falling. She stormed up the stairs, and the door to her room made a slamming sound, echoing through the hallways.

Shiori nodded at Rose's request and then turned to Kurama.
Kurama nodded and walked up to Rose's room knocking on the door, "It's me. Can I come in?"

A muffled 'yes' could be heard. Rose was flopped on her bed, her head buried in her arms and her hair sprewed across her form.

Kurama opened her door, closing it behind him, and walked into the room. He sat next to her and patted her back.
"I'm sure they didn't mean it like it soundd. they were probably just really worried about you. I tell my mother that it's my job and Koenma covers for me. She's used to me dissapearing for work now."

"I guess...I know my mom truly loves me, but I sometimes wonder about my dad. He's so strict..it's not the first time he's hit me...in front of your mom and you it is, though. He does it all the time...when I mess up in school, mostly. I'm so sick of it. I have too much pressure. I feel like I'm gonna break if something else gets added on."

Nap was on the roof the whole time. She didn't want to interfer with Rose and Kurama's family. But the sound of Rose getting slapped made Napolde cringe.
'She does not deserve that. She saved their butts! I just wish humans can take things calmly and not destroy everything...'
As soon as Nap heard Kurama enter Rose's room, she crawled down the wall.
'This would make her laugh...'
Still upside down, she squeezed her face against the glass of Rose's bedroom window, making faces every few seconds.
In a muffled voice, she said, "Dunt wurree, ee appee!!"

Rose turned to face her window, and burst out laughing. She held the side of her stomach as she laughed and leaned back. She must have leaned back too far, because she feel off the side of the bed.
"Ohmygod, very..nice...Nap! Ow..stomach hurts...toomuch laughing!"
Rose giggled still, her hair strewn out everywhere on the white carpet.

Nap smiled. "Hope you feel better now, Rose!"
Attempting to open the window, she lost her grip, landing in the bushes.

Rose sat up, upon hearing the thud. She walked over, and sweatdropped at the site of her fallen friend.
"Need some help?"
Rose asked sweetly, the branches circling around her and lifting her up to the window.

"Thanks a bunch, Rose."
Nap walked in the room, attempting to blow off a leaf that was stuck in her hair. After a few seconds, she pulled it off with her own hands.
"So I'm guessing I didn't miss much. Want to take a trip to-"
Nap looked at the door an d at the window. She did not need any more surprises.
"...the sweet-snow man?" she said in a hushed tone.

She laughed again and seemed to think of something.

"I found this not even a year ago. I don't know how it got here, but it's great for keeping demon stuff."
She walked over to her closet, and pushed stuff out of the way on the floor. She stood up, and tugged on a small chain, a trap door lifting up.
"Come on, it's awesome. It's a small part of the basement that isn't connected to anyplace but this room. I think it might have been a bomb shelter or something."
She said cooly, starting down the ladder she had placed there.
