I never got to play portal one . . . so I am really hoping I enjoy portal 2. Don't have it yet, but sometime soon I plan to.

Portal 1 is one of the best games I've ever played. GLaDOS is by far one of my favorite video game characters. It's bundled in the Orange Box for XBox, so go get it :3
I prefer consoles to computers for gaming, too, and since I don't have a current-gen console on which I can play Portal 2, I am seriously torn about getting it for PC or not. Or maybe I'll just steal... um, I mean borrow my sister's copy XD

I am aware that Portal is in the orange box, but can't find a copy for less than $25 . . . used. Why the ******** ******** would I pay MORE for a used copy than I would for a NEW one?! stressed

Early last year Steam had a promo for Portal 2 where it gave away Portal for free. Most excellent. I have now been able to play parts of Portal 2 on my boyfriend's computer. It is amazingly wonderful. The writing is better than the original. I can't wait to try coop mode which I can imagine will be incredibly challenging.

Played through the co-op with my sister the last coupel of days, and also started the solo mode. From the looks of it, I'd really recommend playing the original first. You're going to miss a lot if you don't. If you get Steam, you can download just Portal, not sure of the price though. They have deals occasionally, games for $5 or free etc. That would probably be your best bet.

Much as I hate to admit it, that may be my main option . . .

$10 . . . that isn't so bad. My comp should be able to handle it. I did Starcraft II on this thing- albeit slowly . . .

I was deeply underwhelmed by zOMG, and highly pissed that I couldn't sell off the items I bought to give it a go.

Is it sad that I am the biggest fan of Transformers in my area, and know more about the franchise(s) than anybody I know in real life . . . and have no pressing interest in the latest Bayformer movie?
