She had a finger up, mouth open to say something about him being an a** when he motioned that he wansn't going to take it from her. That figured. But honestly did he have to rough her up in front of him...reminded her of stuff she'd rather not remember unless she was forced to. But of course she only crossed her arms, settijng a displeased look to her features. Happy? No. So a look to Kieran. "He gets around buiness and he gets...." She didn't know the word she wanted. She just didn't look happy at all.
A pat to her shoulder from Kieran, throwing a glance over to Malik and Iris. "Do you really have to be so rough? I thought you and Piper were dealing in a manner of speaking." What? Malik told Piper to be quiet, not Kieran.

Eliot had long ago tucked her book away. she though to save it for another time. At the moment she was fiddling with her necklace, singing to sherself, half hearing what she was saying, slowly falling alseep.
"Jump, little heart, jump Its not much farther to our salvation. Run, swift heart, run ruin the minds of our damnation.
Fight, brave heart, fight take down those who live for pain. Leave, free heart, leave before our souls are lost to other's gain.
Skip, frantic heart, skip Chase away the dreams of death. Fly, feathered heart, fly take that deep and everlasting breath"
Eliot's head slumped forward, she fell asleep.

Malik used his free hand to draw malvolence, and placed the blade on her neck. he didn't answer Kieran, but kept his attention focused on teh girl.
"You did not answer the second question. why are you here? adn you were not forgotten, you were not purchased by me. I bought twenty, not twenty one. and as to your condition..how did you get in this manner in teh first place? Answer me, Or I'll see it fit to cut down on teh excess of a disobediant slave."
What was it. somethign was very..wrong..with this setup. but he coudln't quite put his finger on what it was. of course with Malvolence in hand, he coudl commune with piper and Kieran without words.
Something is off about this..even broken slaves show more reaction. Do you know where she is from? what her given name is?

She blinked slowly, not even looking at the blade. "I am sorry, sire. I have no other answer to give. They had forgotten me. I came because I am forgotten." Her eyes were still downcast, her body limp. "I walked, sire. With the others."

Good lord..now he had the sword. Though it did prove useful seeing as it acted as a condut for her oddly crippled born telepathy. Only worked if one had a direct connection to her. Her father could do it with her because they had communed, and Malvolence served as a link for Malik. Somehow that didn't just seem too appealing. "Her name is Iris Bronwyn...from the corn fields...though I've yet to see corn and suspect that's some psudomyn for something else. And yes, I already thought about her reations being off, it's creepy." Though she did acknowledge him, she had turned her back on him, not caring to watch him as he tried to get some type of reaction from teh girl.
Kieran...well being Kieran he thought it quite the little trick. Telepathy born from a sword. Of course his telepathy was diferent than Piper's, not crippled and limited like hers was, but easily done and to anyone at that too. "Less slave more...drone or doll like. Answers questions, shows no outward emotion, likes to takes orders or rather just responds to them."

He let the girl go.
"Wrong answer. How did you get covered in filth? I seriously doubt that you walked with the others as they are prefectly clean and you are not. So I ask again, how did you get here. and these fields..these are places where you and many other are grown, correct? not birthed through..normal means?"
then a look at Piper.
"You can decide if you want the other twenty collared or not. they are like this one, and I would suggest that we do as this is certainly not normal behavior. any other would have been at least worried. even a broken slave values thier life to some degree."
Then to Kieran.
"Drone is the word. last time I saw this kind of reaction was back on teh plane I met Piper. a..ally of mine, grew a powerful warrior. and sent him agaisnt the archaic manor. but even that one had some kind of need for self preservation. only the most basic, but some."

She stumbled a bit when he fianlly let her go, but quickly regained her odd composer. Her eyes raised to look at Malik a moment before she pointed them back to the ground. "I am sorry, sire. I am covered in filth because of where they put me." Hmm, should she elaborate? Maybe just to let them understand, since she seemed to be confusing them. "The others do not see me. I am forgotten, as I have always been."
She bowed. "Yes, sire. I am grown. I am failed."

Oh for the love of her elveish gods...this was right up Malik's alley...but also was owned by that part of him that she always turned a blind eye to. But she shrugged lightly at his metionings on collars. "Collar them, I don't care." Hey if he already had paranoia brewing there was no trying to fight him. But boy hadn't she been a little sensitive since this Kaden thing? First overly meek and now it seemed she was less toleratant and even a bit testy.
"So...grown beings who walk as if they were dead. Or rather, empty. No emotion, no uncalled for actions, no worry, no cares. Quite the...bleak...existance." Though a slight look to Piper who apparently found her hair rather interesting, and her ears as well as she was messing with them. Though a blink at the word failed. Was that why? Because she lacked all aspects of things or something else. "And how are you failed?"

She bowed an inch deeper as Kerian addressed her with a question. "I do not respond. I grow hungry. I show resistance. This is what the testers tell me." They told her before threy threw her away, that is.
Ever the messenger, Ashlyn trooted back to Malik's side. She sat, like she had done before, and gave a loud purr. More visitors. She shook her head. An impatient visitor.

Malik chuckled lightly.
"You have a spirit, so to speak."
And a glance at Ashlyn and Piper. More guests he assumed.
"Alright then. send them to Broog for collaring, he can use the ones left over form teh uncollaring you had done earlier. Kieran, if you would, take our little friend here to get cleaned up. but watch her. she tries anything, I don't even care if it's groping you or trying to kiss you, terminate her."
Then to Ashlyn.
"Our most recent guests. is it the mage this time? or more annoyances?"

Well that was an intereting way to be flawed, now wasn't it? Kieran would call it being alive, but that was him. Though he did get a little distasteful look from the elven royal on his little comment about what her trying things might imply. Because it implied him letter her do so. Oh look, that's a nerve. But it didn't there long and he took hold of Iris' arm. "I'm sure I can manage. Come on Iris...I think it will do you good to get cleaned up." Thus the leading of her off so that she could do so.
Piper snatched a passing uncollared slave by the wrist, pulling her over and giving her own instructions a point to the twenty there. "Those, Brood, collars, hurry it up." Her tone? Level and not harsh at all. Her grip? No pressure. However she did get a nod and that slave got right to it. Then a look over to Malik before walking over to Ashlyn and scratching at the feathers on her head. "Any more 'guests' and I'm going to lock myself in our room..."

Iris lowered her head in what looked like a shamefull action. Servants were not supposed to correct their masters. "No, sire. I have no spirit. I am souless." She followed Keiran without comment, going where she was instructed.
Ashlyn gave a great squawk. Not the mage, but just about. Bigger. She smiled, and took Malik back out to the front. The dragon sat there, looking annoyed and surly.
Alaran snorted, not pleased about being messenger, and potential steed. I come with directions to the Academy. You may follow, she almost chocked on her enxt words, but Roarke had given her sepcific instructions. or rest apon my back. Either way, it is time for our appointment.

Malik followed, and smirked lightly.
"I was unaware that I was at teh magi's beck and call. However, mighty and noble Alaran..give us about thirty minutes. a guest I woudl liek to bring is getting a mess cleaned up...I'm sure your master will appreciate him. an elven royal, and a scholar."
That last comment though form that girl. Souless. he didn't think she meant it as anything less than literal truth.
"I was expecting to be able to travel tomorrow with directions, so please forgive the inconvinence to yourself."
A small smirk. he was being overly polite, but dragons of course are known for large egos. a little ego stroking and she'd wait thirty minutes.

Meanwhile Piper had made her way upstairs, letting Malik attend to business, yet she knew that the dragon had come and that it was appointment time. Well, she made her up mind, might as well go...however when visiting someone you didn't know, it was good to look proper, now wasn't it. Thus a clothes change. To what? That blaring red and gold tunic, that was what. Beloved article of clothing put on, as well as the red chainmail from her armor outfit...force of habit made her put it on.Still black pants and her old boots, pulling on her fingerless gloves and guantlets, bandana adjusted slightly. Weapons were kept off however this time, seeing as she didn't care to have pain causing impliments on her person. A quick check in the mirror before she grabbed her cloak, making her way downstairs.
Kieran had indeed taken her to get cleaned up, merely leaning against a wall as he got two slaves to literally do the dirty work. He had a personal space thing...he didn't like his own invaded and didn't invade the space of others he didn't fondly know. And with her clean he go those two slaves to take Iris to a room, told them to get her dressed in something clean, if she needed something she was to get it. Sure, they looked at him a bit funny, but who were they to argue? He was Piper's father and no one wanted to upset the mistresss by upsetting her father. A nod to Iris now. "Anything of necessity yuou need. Tell either of them and they will get it for you. And behave yourself." Thus he left her to her own devices, heading back to the others.

Living with wizards, you get used to all the flattery. But an ego was an ego. She put on a tolerant face. Very well. And settled herself down for the thirty minutes. If you wish for more time, I shall wait.
Gees, she erally was just being ordered around lately wasn't she? She was going to chew Roarke up and spit him out when she got back.
Kieran had her cleaned, and while she didn't look awekward, isnide she felt like she should be doing this kind of thing. Then he left, and she was left, blinking at the servents. "I need clothes." Was all she said. She didn't relaly think it neccessary, slaves just needed silks or sometihng light, cheap. Since she hadn't specified what kind of clothes, they dumped a pile in front of her and she ended up dresing herself in a pair of black breaches, a purple top, and a red ascot. She looked very much the buisness women. And when she was done, the servents left, adn she just stood there. With nothing to do.
