Elekid took the tackle to the legs and fell face down in the grass. He stood up quickly and grimmaced slightly.
Kilik shook his head. "Elekid! Quick Attack!" He clenched his fists slightly. If I win this, it'll be a badge that nobody helped me get! he thought. Elekid complied and dashed forward at Metapod.

"Harden!" He knew Metapod only had one more hit left before he was out, but it was ok. He never used the cocoon for heavy hitting, mostly to tire out the opponent so his later two could finish the job.
Metapod raised his Defense once more as the spark plug charged forth.

((I didn't even notice that you had posted for Erika agian Anya...)) Bahamut was hit almost head on from the Solar Beam attack and gave a suprised cry at the hit but managed to stay up. In fact the dragon pokemon looked angry at being hit by the attack. Dante was glad though to see that the Tangela had been taken out and smiled slighlty. However once he saw the Vileplume he groaned in his mind. "All right then. Bahamut get back up into the sky for another Fly attack." Dante comanded deciding to go with the dragons only flying move again. The dragon seeing its new opponant gave it the evil eye finally understanding that this was important and flew swiftly up into the air getting as high as she could get.

The Kangaskhan seemed rather content eating the bait, and Nina crouched and moved closer to it, throwing some more bait to keep it occupied. She grinned, not waiting for Kangaskhan to finish eating the bait, and reached into the bag to pull out a Safari Ball. "Stay right there," she whispered, inching just a little bit closer. The kangaroo Pokemon was too focused on its treat to care about anything else at the moment, and Nina flung the Safari Ball at the Pokemon. It bonked Kangaskhan on the head a second before sucking it up into the sphere. Kangaskhan fought and wriggled in the ball, yet Nina crossed her fingers and held her breath. Please! she thought.
Eventually, the Safari Ball stopped moving, and it dinged. "YES!" Nina exclaimed, jumping up in victory, holding her arm up above her head, while wearing a wide grin. A moment later, she started to dance and sing. "I got a Kangaskhan!~ I got a Kangaskhan!~ I got a--"
The ball popped open and the Kangaskhan escaped, looking confused. Nina stopped her singing and dancing, and stared at the Pokemon in disbelief. "You... but... I captured you... That's not fair!" She shuffled around in her bag frantically and she pulled out a couple of rocks; angrily, she threw several of them at the Pokemon, most of which hit. "Let's see if this doesn't help me!" Nina said, pulling out another Safari Ball and flinging it with some force at Kangaskhan. It got sucked up into the ball again, but this time, escaped with little effort. Nina stared with an astonished and shocked expression on her face.
"You twit! THIS... will show you... NOT to mess with me!" she yelled, pulling out more rocks and rapidly hurling them at the Pokemon. Kangaskhan got hit by a few more, but it had grown angry, and moved quickly out of the way of the rocks.
There was another Pokemon some five feet behind Kangaskhan that had been drawn to the bait. Because of the fact that Nina was throwing the rocks so quickly, and because Kangaskhan moved out of her line of fire, the other Pokemon was hit by at least a dozen rocks before Nina realized which Pokemon she was hitting. When she did realize which Pokemon it was, however, it was already too late.
It was a Rhyhorn.

Nina stood very still, not making any sudden movements. Rhyhorn's anger from being hit was increasing, and he scraped his front left leg on the ground. He appeared to be ready to charge at Nina and Anna.
"It will be okay, Nina," Anna said quietly. "Just back up as slowly as possible. Rhyhorn is an incredibly stupid Pokemon, so in a few seconds it'll probably forget that you attacked it with some ten or twelve rocks. I mean, the way you'll know for sure if a Rhyhorn will attack is if it rears its head back and roars. So far though, he doesn't seem to be--"
Rhyhorn interrupted Anna as it flung its head back and let out a roar so beastly that it echoed throughout the entire Safari Zone, if not the entire region of Kanto.
Nina's eyes grew enormous. "RUN!" she screamed, and she and Anna took off back toward the entrance at a near-breakneck speed, the Rhyhorn hot on their heels. Approaching the entrance building, one of the guards came on over the P.A. His voice was droll, nasaly, and boring; it reminded Nina of a mouth-breathing nerd who wouldn't leave his room unless it was absolutely necessary. He said, "Merrr... Your safari game is not over yet... Would you like to give up early?"
Nina flung the door to the building wide open and ran through, Anna following quickly. "Merrr... hey!" the nasaly guard said. "You didn't answer my question, nyar..."
"Get out of here, now!" Nina screamed, as she and Anna ran out of the Safari Zone entirely.
"Whaaat?" the guard asked. "Why should I get out? Nyar, myar, nar..." The guard sniffled, and he heard a thunderous noise that was fast approaching. "Nar... what's that?" he asked himself. Rhyhorn stampeded through the entrance building, tearing apart at least half of it. It furiously charged down after Nina and Anna, roaring. "Nyar!" the guard exclaimed. "That's against protocols, for sure, nar! You get back here and fix this building, you stupid Rhyhorn! Mar."
The guard disdainfully looked to the damages that Rhyhorn had caused. "Please come fix this, arr," he said. "If you don't, then that means I need to fix it... mar. I need a hug." The guard sounded very sad.

Fortunately for Vileplume and Erika, the Flower Pokemon also sported the Chlorophyll ability, thus her speed was doubled as well. But instead of attacking, the flower assumed a defensive stance on Erika's command, watching the flying Vibrava intently. "That's it, Vileplume!" the leader called out encouragingly. "Wait for the perfect moment!"

Watching the gym leader across from him Dante's eyes narrowed slighlty. 'They are up to something.' He thought before casting his gaze up at Bahamut who chose that moment to dive fiercely at the giant flower pokemon. Dante thought for a moment about calling the dragon off at the last moment but decided against it wanting to see what Erika would do.

When her giggle fit was over, Kasiya stood up, and decided to let her entire crew out of their Pokeballs. They all seemed quite happy to be out and able to stretch their legs (and wings), even Casimir, who at first glared at each Pokemon in turn (especially Fang) before he retreated to a quiet corner to sit in. Almost immediately, the green Crobat had tried to tackle Hiro to the ground, but the might Arcanine retaliated by sidestepping and using his powerful shoulders to knock the loopy flier to the ground. He then pinned Fang to the ground by holding down his wings.
"Perfect, Hiro," Kasiya said, jumping up. She'd almost forgotten about the TM's she'd bought, and she ran into the other room to get them, returning soon with three. Two of them were gray in colour while the other was brown. Kasiya took the first gray one and knelt down by the Crobat. "Remember this move?" the girl asked him. "Well you will now, because it’s yours to use." She pressed the disc to the Crobat's head, and he became still as the knowledge of the move clicked in. He looked up at Kasiya then, his eyes shining with appreciation and excitement. "Just don't use it in here, all right?" she said. "We wouldn't want to cause damage while my dad's away." Kasiya looked around, spotting a trashcan in a far-off corner. Holding it like a Frisbee, she flung it, watching with satisfaction as it slammed into the wall and cracked in half, both pieces falling into the bin. Hiro let Fang loose, who promptly flew up and landed on Hiro's back, content to hitch a ride.
Kasiya shrugged, looking at the two discs in her hand. She spotted Adamantine hopping up and down, seeing how high she could jump. Smiling, Kasiya walked over to the little green Pokemon and knelt down beside her. "I have a gift for you too, Ada," she said, and repeated the process. Ada gave a thoughtful look, and immediately began to spar with the air. "Good girl, I hope you make good use of that one," she giggled. The little Larvitar continued to fight with her shadow as Kasiya looked around for the third and final recipient of a TM move for the day.
Flash and Ariel were playing tag; the much speedier Jolteon was obviously letting the Vaporeon win, though. Kasiya waved to catch their attention, and the two Eevee evolutions came bounding over to her excitedly. Almost instantly, though, Flash resumed his normal "I don't care" attitude. Kasiya looked at the disc for a moment, and sighed. "I was going to teach this to Ariel, but perhaps you should have it instead, Flash." The girl pressed the grey disc to his forehead, and waited. After the disc had been used up, she tossed both of the useless discs in the direction of the trash, both missing by a mile. "One out of three isn't that bad, is it?"

Vileplume watched with a slight smirk on its face as Bahamut zoomed down towards her. When it looked as if the dragon were about to land a critical strike, Vileplume let out a cry, and a shimmering, blue powder puffed out from the petals decorating its head, filling the area with a hazy, bluish tinge - Sleep Powder. The Fly attack hit anyway, the defensive poise taken by the Flower Pokemon helped to reduced the damage by a slight amount. Erika took a step back, covering her mouth and nose with her arm in order to avoid breathing in the blue powder.

When the blue powder hit the dragon pokemon got a full whiff of it and blinking a few times in confusion before she fell asleep. It was kinda odd to see the dragon sleeping but still levitating off the ground due to his special ability. Dante seeing that the attack had worked, and also holding a hand up to cover his nose, cursed slighlty. "Bahamut come on wake up!" He shouted at the sleeping pokemon hoping that it would help wake her up. Unfortunatly she proved to be a sound sleeper and didn't even budge.

Mike had left for come cave and Kasiya had returned home. A quick change in plans Mitsu thought. She sighed looking around at the unfamiliar town. "I want back at Hoenn," she muttered. All the girl wanted was to be in a region she was familair with, train with her Pokemon, and beat that fiery leader, Flannery into tomorrow for her Heat Badge. Mitsu gritted her teeth. Karri couldn't teleport her back, she was far too tired for that. She'd have to find a train, somehow, and take that long slow ride to back to Hoenn. "But..." Mitsu looked thoughtful for a moment, "I could always train here for a bit before heading back." Her lips broke into a thin smile as she walked around town. It must have been her third time around for things began to look familair. "Hey you! Girl with the weird Pokemon!" a voice called out. Mitsu whipped around, as did Karri, who looked irratated at being called weird. "What?" Mitsu said looking at the boy. He looked like he was ready to take a swim. He was wearing a pair of blue swim trunks and a loose and oversized shirt. "How 'bout a battle, eh?" he said now several feet away from her. "Perfect," Mitsu grinned, "I was just looking for one."
With two flashes of red light a Poliwhirl and the ever brilliant blue Houndoom appeared. Mitsu looked at the blue Pokemon wondering what it was. "I've never seen one of those before," Mitsu said blinking a bit before asking, "What is it?"
"A Poliwhirl," the boy answered, "By the way, the name's Matt."
Mitsu nodded, his answer hadn't cleared much up. "Mitsu," she stated simply. "Let's save the formalities for later." She looked over to Sapphire who nodded, he was always up for a battle even when the elements were against him, not that he knew they were. "Sapphire let's heat things up with an Ember!" He gave his short trade mark howl before spraying the field with embers that flew at the blue Pokemon.
Matt smirked looking at the fire attack. "I've got the upper hand. Poliwhirl use your Water Gun!" Poliwhirl doused the flames with the blue colored water. "Poli!" it shouted before launching another Water Gun aimed at Sapphire. The attack struck him square in the chest and the Houndoom surpressed a whimper. He was tough and he was going to prove it. "Bite attack!" Mitsu commanded, her voice filled with enthusiasm and confidence. Sapphire sprun forth, his fangs bared in a snarl. "Poli dodge it!" Matt shouted. The Water Pokemon, Mitsu was sure of that at the least now, wasn't fast enough to evade Sapphire's pearly whites. He chomped down hard and held it there. Pain surged though the Poliwhirl's arm. It's pained expression could clearly be seen.

After properly disposing of the used TM discs, Kasiya looked around the gym, and sighed. She had it all to herself for now and she was fully prepared to take advantage of that fact. Kasiya decided that she'd start off by training with Ada first, and to do that, she'd need someone who was much stronger than she was. For that part, Kasiya chose Hiro. The tough Arcanine could work on his endurance at the same time.
Once her two Pokemon were positioned apart from each other, Kasiya smiled. "Alright Ada, let's start off with that new move of yours! Brick Break!"
"Larr!" the little Larvitar cried, and dashed forward, flailing her arms. At what seemed like the last second, she pulled them close and thrust her fists forward, landing a crushing blow to Hiro's front leg. The Arcanine gave a surprised yelp - that actually hurt! In turn, Hiro growled angrily, snapping his jaws at the smaller Larvitar.
"Hiro!" Kasiya snapped. "This is training, remember! I want you to fight back, but remember that Ada is younger and less experienced than you are."
Humbled by Kasiya's sharp tone, the Arcanine whimpered, and looked bleakly at the walking rock before him. He tilted his head to the side and spat a weak Ember at her. Ada didn't try to dodge, just tried to hide by covering her head with her little arms.
"Ada, try to dodge Hiro's Ember," Kasiya said. "Use Brick Break again. And Hiro, don't forget that you can dodge too."
Ada darted forward, intent on slamming into Hiro's front leg again. Not wanting to receive another bruise, Hiro quickly lifted his paw, only to have Adamantine run underneath him and pound the inside of his left hind leg.

Keegan watched the battle quietly, deciding to keep the many comments he had running through his mind to himself. After watching the Tangela's impressive win over Meowth, and defeat at the 'hands' of Bahamut, he couldn't help but feel a strange appreciation for the strange grass Pokemon. Not having a lot of experience with grass types though, he didn't really know what to do when the Sleep Powder was released. Taking a cue from Dante, Keegan covered his nose and mouth while Helios got a bit of a whiff of the blue powder. The Vulpix sneezed, a small jet of fire expelling from his mouth. Keegan chuckled; at least the little Vulpix wasn't asleep.

Erika knew that how long sleep effects lasted was quite random, and she was well aware of the small time frame she had to attack. "Now, Vileplume! While it's helpless, Sludge Bomb!"
The Flower Pokemon had acted elegant in every respect until the glob of sludge was shot out of the top of its flower and right at the still-sleeping Vibrava.

Hiro yelped, and jumped back, swiping at the young Larvitar with a paw. The little rocky Pokemon was sent rolling over backwards. When she stood up, she wobbled a little; the impact and all the rolling made her dizzy. Finally shaking it off, Adamantine jumped up and down angrily and her eyes started to glow. The front doors of the gym suddenly burst open as a vicious cyclone of sand was strewn in, swirling about the room violently. Kasiya cried out and shielded her eyes, the sand stinging her bare legs and arms. The only Pokemon in the room that was immune to the damaging effects of Ada's Sandstorm was Ada herself, and her anger from being pushed around by Hiro fueled her power.
"Ada! Please stop it!" Kasiya wailed, but the howling wind and churning sand drowned her out.
Having had enough of this, Ariel jumped up and stomped a paw down on the ground. Seconds later the sand died away as a downpour started from nowhere, soaking everything in the gym.
"This is great," Kasiya grumbled, letting the rain clean away most of the sand from her body. Looking around the gym floor, however, she saw the horrible, muddy mess caused by the Rain Dance and Sandstorm, and sighed. "That's it! No more changing the weather indoors!"
